I love this simple black Best Buy Essentials case for my Gen 2 Aipods it was so easy to get on and off unlike some I’ve had in the past, it’s a Matt black smooth case comes with a round detachable carabiner that you can attach to anything keys, backpack, purse or like me I like to attach them to my overalls while I’m out working, cause I tend to miss place the case also lost it a couple times! It works perfectly with wireless charging no need to remove the case to charge it has perfect cutouts for charging port, buttons and the LED light. The silicone construction is rated to protect a drop up to 3.94 ft. If it gets dirty you can just wipe it clean I’ve also taken it off and washed with dish soap when it got something sticky on it and it washed, dried and fit right back on with no issues, I hand washed it. It helps keep you pods clean and virtually dust free. I highly recommend this case it comes in other colors as if black ain’t your thing, it’s perfect for kids and adults.

I love this case for my second generation AirPods. The case is thick and it will help protect it. The only downside is there isn't a cover piece at the bottom for the charging port.

Best Buy Essentials Silicone Case This case fits the 1st and 2nd Generations of the Apple AirPods, with or without wireless charging. My Air Pods has the wireless charging case. The essentials case is made of thick flexible plastic with a rubbery smooth feel. The case itself is made of substantial material with a decent thickness which is sure to protect anything inside. The case will not show fingerprints, or almost any scratches. The built in cover is attached to the body with a flexible hinge that is also fairly substantial. There is a keyring loop for attaching to a belt loop, backpack, or any loop device. A nice touch, and it seems well secured. The Air Pods require some work to get the main body into the snug case, but it will fit and the top portion as well. I'm surprised how exact the fit is with the case and feels almost connected to the body. Wireless charging with the case was not any issue, but I did notice that the metal ring should be kept away from the wireless charging area. All in all, this is a nice case, and should protect my AirPods well. They are a bit thick, but acceptable.

This is not my first Best Buy Essentials Airpods case, so I will let you know from the start that I am a fan. The BB Essential line is extremely underrated. I have always liked their iPhone cases, and I already have the same Airpods case for a set of Gen 3 Airpods. Before getting these cases, I had other brands of silicone cases, and I just hated them. They feel nice, yes. But I HATED the way they stuck in your pocket when you tried to retrieve your phone. Drop protection was decent, but not compared to some of the other options available. But that was my perspective on the iphone cases, now we are talking about their Airpods case for the Gen 2 Airpods. So, off the bat the case is silky smooth, and is easy to store in your pocket (and remove it without a hassle. So automatically that put it on my good side. The Airpods fit into the case tightly and there is no play. The case grips the body of the Airpods case perfectly and does the same of the lid of the case. From experience, that is where the problem starts for me with Airpod cases. They work well, but then all of a sudden the lid cover starts slipping off. Or they give you some sort of adhesive to keep it on, and then it is next to impossible to take it off! So, no problems here with this case. I like the ring on the case as well. It is sturdy, but does not add a lot of weight. It is also really easy to remove if you want to. For instance, if you wanted to add a lanyard or something to your case it would be easy. Also, the area where the ring connects is substantially thicker than the rest of the case. So, there is no worry about things breaking off or losing the Airpods in general. The case boasts a 4-foot drop protection, which is not something I will test. But is nice to know. At the end of the day, this is a very basic case. But the simplicity of it is what attracted me to it as well. Do it simple, but do it right. And in this case, do it right and at a price point that is in some case half that of its competition. Personally, I would HIGHLY recommend this case to anyone that needs or wants an Airpods case. Whether you like to switch out cases from time to time and you want to add this to your line-up, or if you want it as an every-day carry. So before you go for something else similar, check this one out from the Best Buy line-up.

The Best Buy essentials silicone case for Apple Airpods is a no-nonsense, convenient, fantastic way to protect your investment. Airpods are not cheap, and this can protect your first and second generation Airpods. Meant to protect them from falls of almost 4 ft, the attached key ring allows you to attach your Airpods anywhere that is convenient, from a belt loop to a key ring to a backpack. I would warn people to be careful about placing these on the outside of bags, as it makes it very easy for someone else to take them. The silicone enclosure is very nice to the touch, and it is very easy to get your Airpods inside. It is nice because there is a tiny circle cut out so that you can see the indicator light on your Airpods. I also had no issues charging wirelessly when this was in place. Access to all of the buttons and everything is easy and just works. The other thing I appreciate about this design is that while it sports robust protection, it doesn't add a lot of bulk or weight to your case, this is especially nice for hiking or running with your airpods and carrying the case with you. The way I have been using it when I go on runs is I have been attaching my key to the key ring and then Diane the key ring into the drawstring on my running shorts. I'm looking for a slightly better solution, but at least for the time being it works and doesn't require anything extra.
