    Why can't it be electronic?

This is nice when you just want a card for someone you don't see regularly. I like the ability to submit a personalized note that Best Buy then sends to the recipient's e-mail address with a notification that they will soon receive a gift card in the mail from (your name). However, I hate the fact that it's a physical gift card sent through traditional mail. Why can't it be like iTunes, an electronic gift card that you can redeem with a code? Then the recipient could either use the code online or print out the e-mail and take it into the store. Not having that option seems pretty old school.

Not the gift card I ordered

I wanted this thank you themed gift card to give to a groomsman at our wedding. With all the wedding prep we were doing, I didn't have time to run to a best buy and I wanted something prettier than what the grocery store sells. I actually paid a little extra to have this card show up promptly because I didn't want to be stressed about it arriving. What we got in the mail was a plain generic blue best buy card without even any paper attached that we could write on! It was like it fell out of somebody's wallet. Buying at the grocery store would have been better. Thanks best buy for ticking me off and ripping me off right before my wedding.
