I bought the membership a few years ago at 179.99 and thought I’d probably cancel it. However the membership really paid for its self in that first year. I bought an electric shaver where a spring broke and was able to go to the store and swap it out. I bought cords that my dog chewed and was still able to replace them. Definitely worth it, In my opinion. It’s added to everything else that you buy at the store. It’s a free piece of mind when everything has a protection plan.
The savings are fantastic too, I bought a Nintendo switch for my roommate last Christmas and it was like $70 off original price.

I’ve been a My Best Buy Total member for several years now, and it has been one of the most useful memberships I’ve had for tech purchases. I buy most of my electronics from Best Buy, and having the protection plans included has saved me both money and worry over time.

I decided to sign up for the Best Buy Total membership specifically because I wanted a "safety net" for the various electronics in my house. Since joining, the value has been undeniable.
The standout feature for me is the 24/7 Geek Squad support. I recently had an issue with a laptop that wouldn't boot, and being able to bring it in without worrying about a massive diagnostic fee was a huge relief. They fixed the issue quickly and were professional throughout the process.

I’ve had the Best Buy yearly membership for a full year now, and honestly it’s been one of the most convenient and worthwhile tech investments I’ve made. New to program.. Bought a PC with good help from sales. Advice for support taken. Just getting to know service dept. Interesting that app does NOT allow for messaging or changing appts. Front desk clerk very rigid but tech people kind. We drove 2 hrs to drop off computer and do 5 min of paperwork. We were sent away and had to make a new appt the next day. Our street was closed for a fire and we were late .. like 20 min. We were told the work was possibly more than a day when we set up the appt. When we finally got our hands on the five Min of paperwork required... ( after 2 hrs of driving to Bangor)... they said it will be a week before we get to this... all calls go to call center with all foreign speakers not familar with geography... ie why don't you find another
Store ( we live in northern maine).... probably our last purchase since no one answers phones, no one is presence to problem solve at customer service and any attempt with online is antiquated

I have greater relief with all my Best Buy purchases- appliances and office appliances alike knowing I have the Total Tech Membership. Aside from repairs, it includes removal of old appliances, installation and all self-help guidance needed. With my new computer, it is a seamless process transferring all programs and data through the included Geek Squad support. The membership also includes lowest prices on items and special buys regularly advertised. I highly recommend for peace of mind.

No More Second-Guessing Protection Plans

We love the ease of the program and how we automatically get protection plans on our purchases. It adds a comfort when buying an expensive item that we don’t need to remember if we purchased the protection plan separately or not or if we still need to do it before the deadline. All of our information that we need if there’s an issue with an item, it’s right there in the app and it’s been so beneficial for all the things that we’ve purchased over the years.

I really value my My Best Buy Total™ membership and the way it’s structured. It saves me a significant amount of money on warranties by automatically applying a two-year protection plan to most purchases, which removes the need to make individual decisions at checkout. That alone provides peace of mind and long-term value.
I also appreciate that the coverage extends to cell phones purchased through the Verizon representatives inside Best Buy, which makes it easy to keep everything under one roof. There's an old advertisement that says, "Don't leave home without it". I think Best Buy could also boast for the same. We now lived in an era that is practically ran by technology. Best Buy store is and has been my first choice when it comes to computers, printers and other devices that are now a necessity to live our lives competitively and quickly. Because of that demand to run our lives efficiently nowadays, membership with Best Buy is well worth it. It's the best advice I could give to my friends and loved ones to keep their electronic devices in tip top shape. When visiting Best Buy, don't leave the store without it.

I have found this membership is a great value and have recommended it to a friend. Help is always available with the Geek squad and most of the time they can zero-in to the problems I have.
The previous BestBuyTotal membership offered the opportunity for a Geek Squad tech to come to my home to set thing up. This part of the Total membership is no longer available and I am disappointed in that part of the membership. I truly believe that each member should be offered at least ONE home tech support -- especially when I purchase most of my electronics from BestBuy.

Computer Repairs Went Very Well

I suffered two computer failures in less than two months, and I needed to get these high-end systems back online. The Geek squad people found the problems with both systems, and were able to fix the problems quickly. My computers are back home and working properly. One of the computers required RAM replacement, and the best price I could find for the needed parts was at Best Buy. So, I was able to purchase the new RAM online on the Best Buy web site with the in-store pick up option, so the Geek squad people were able to perform the needed installation quickly. I appreciate the service I received as well as the relatively low price for the hardware I needed to purchase :) . Also, signing up for an annual membership saved me money on the system repairs, and I now have options for other savings throughout most of this year :) .

I bought the HP Office Jet Pro 8120e. I love it. I was so nervous regarding the setup because I'm not a technical person. That is one reason why I bought the membership. Best Buy came, set it up and I didn't have to do a thing. My mind was at ease. Also, knowing that if I need anything or any help, they are there to help me or come to my house if needed. This takes a lot of stress out of a 79 yr. old woman.
Not only that, but Robbie, the salesman did an awesome job of helping me pick out a printer and explained them very well. I t was a pleasure doing business with him-and no pressure.

TotalTech main advantage is extended warranty for 2 years. Computer setup transfer of old files is a nice plus too. If you will use Applecare the extra year is added value.
Unfortunately they discontinued home TV installs but I just did that myself. Had better service support on fridge that was dead on arrival. Wish they checked it out in advance or could return same week.
The Samsung Frame TV was tricky to get the TV talking to its control box and would have been handy to have Geek Squad Software help. I would have given 5 stars if TV setup was still available.
