The Best Buy yearly membership has been worth it for me. The perks add up fast, especially the member pricing, extra savings, and the convenience of easier support when I need it. I buy a decent amount of tech each year, so having ongoing benefits makes the purchases feel like a better value instead of just paying full price every time.
It also makes the overall experience smoother. Less friction, better deals, and more confidence when buying bigger ticket items. If you shop at Best Buy more than a couple times a year, the membership can easily pay for itself.

I love the Best Buy Total™ membership - I go to the Geek Squad in Frisco, Texas for over 6 years - the team is awesome, and are very customer focused. They'll walk-me-through what they did and why when I had to leave my Laptop with them because I was unable to resolve, or it was a software glitch.. OR if it's a quick fix, they walk me thought the fix... I like them better than some of the Actual Computer Techs I have had to work with and DID NOT resolve my issue but Geek Squad Did -- They are GREAT!!!

I've had this membership for a number of years & feel it's a good product. I had an old computer & this came in handy, as each year some part in the computer tower had to be replaced. This past fall I was finally able to replace my computer but had to keep this membership to have the 24-month protection on my new purchase, Unless something goes horribly wrong with my new, name brand computer, this is an expensive 2-year warranty (I'll have to renew it again next year for the 2nd year of the warranty).

One of the best services you could ever get not to mention when you purchased computer components or anything these guys a geek squad will take care of you! So far so good! Highly recommend it! Lets face it, you buy an Apple product at the Apple Store, and you have to pay extra for an extended warranty. It makes a lot of sense to buy at Best Buy with this membership. ALSO, we all have Bose Noise cancelling headsets. We bought a new one at Best Buy, and a few months later, it had some issues. We brought it back to the story, no questions asked (other than the obvious) and it was replaced on the spot. It is well worth it, and has already paid for itself.

So far, and I've only been a Total Member for less than 6 weeks (became a member because my daughter had do send her computer out for service), and it has saved me $$! As well as the headache of setting up my new computer for me, and the deciding factor of purchasing it was because I had already become a member, and it is a freebie perk. My phone is old, as well, so now I'm thinking of a new one . . . hmmmmmm. I love the convenience and the savings! The only reason that I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because, even with an appointment, it's hard to get anyone's attention. But when they're there, they're great!

This is the BEST customer service, from the manager, the staff, and esp. the GEEK SQUAD. Always welcoming, friendly, and most important, the fact that they are always helpful to the point of making me happy I came into the store. I’ve had a great experience with Best Buy membership, the benefits really value, especially if you shop there more than once or twice a year. The extended warranty protection, plan and access to members only deal gives real peace of mind went by electronics. I also appreciate the convenience fast shipping easy return and helpful customer service. When I needed to support, the process was simple and stress-free. The member pricing and discount has already saved me money which helps offset the cost of the membership overall the Best Buy membership is a smart investment if you buy electronics appliances or tech accessories. In my opinion, the My Best Buy Total service plan is a fairer and much better value than my HVAC and plumbing service plan from a different company. Best Buy gives you more bang for your buck with repair expenses and product replacement guarantees. And you don't have to jump through hoops to get someone to return to finish a job or get a product replaced that gives out prematurely. I buy everything that I can at Best Buy because of their product selection, quality, and for the money saving service options that they provide!

My Best Buy Total is genuinely useful if you actually buy tech regularly. The extended warranty and protection plans are the real value here. I have already saved money on repairs and replacements that would have cost more than the membership itself. Geek Squad support is convenient and removes a lot of friction when something goes wrong.
That said, this membership is not magic. If you rarely buy electronics or only shop once a year, it is probably not worth it. Some benefits feel redundant and Best Buy could be clearer about what is truly included versus what sounds better on paper.

At first I wasn’t convinced, then I thought, it costs more than that if I take my computer in twice a year in McMinnville. So I signed up. After leaving the store I found I had forgotten to mention a second large problem. With the yearly subscription, I was able to access remote services. WOW, how great. No travel, great service! All fixed. Best $179 I’ve spent in a long time!

This is the Best Electronics Deal in the US. You get a 2-year accident warranty on everything. Listen to me, every year you will debate renewing but just do it. I buy all my electronics at Best Buy and everything has a two year warranty. The plan pays for itself as stuff breaks. My sons headphones just broke, walked in to Best Buy and walked out with a new pair 10 minutes later. Xbox controllers are $25 but thats fair. They break in 5 months and Best Buy basically replaces them at their cost. My dyson vacuum is protected, all our earbuds. I can enjoy my stuff more when I don't worry about it breaking

If you are someone who regularly purchases devices of any kind, this is the way to go. The membership typically pays for itself several times over. I paid for it in January and needed a diagnostic on a device. With them diagnosing and installing, and me just needing to purchase the part, it relieved so much stress and they were so knowledgeable, communicative, and the overall efficacy of the program is top tier ! I’ve been a best buy total tech member for 4+ years now and will be for life

I originally signed up for the Best Buy Total membership mainly for the warranty coverage and the extended return policy. It’s a yearly membership, and you get one year of warranty when you first sign up, with a second year added if you renew—but the warranty does not extend beyond two years, even if you continue renewing after that. That limitation aside, I’ve genuinely enjoyed and made good use of the price protection feature. Being refunded the difference when items go on sale shortly after purchase has saved me money multiple times. Because of that, I’m comfortable paying for a second year. After that second year, though, I struggle to see much incentive to keep the membership unless additional long-term benefits are offered.

I have been a Total Tech member for years mainly for Geek Squad services. I am not a computer expert by any stretch and relie heavaly on Geek Squad Selinsgrove. Big shout out to Agent Carr and Morgana. I have seen many agents come and go but they keep my computers going. Only negative is I am 25 miles away one way and after dropping a unit off, the in a day or two its another 25 mies to pick it up. But that`s part of it. Another great thing about Total Tech is I think 90 day returns instead of 15. There are many other perks to being a TT member. I urge everyone to talk to a Best Buy sales staff person to get low down on Total Tech. Wouldn`t be without it!
