    Total Ripoff

Total tech benefits are over hyped. I attempted to use my benefit to service a Roomba and upon checking with Geek Squad, I was asked to pay a $79 service fee. Now, my product had no physical defects which I could understand if I damaged it, I'm expected to pay something. Rather there is a hardware or software issue. It would make more sense to charge a fee that is then reimbursable based on findings. Very disappointed with this membership. I was directed by Geek Squad to contact the manufacturer and exercise the warranty. Do not recommend this as it is a false sense of security and protection for your purchases.

Saved me $2,000 in the first year alone!

Best Buy Totaltech is the most valuable offering in the electronic store arena. In my first year, it saved me at least $2,000 between protection plans and AppleCare+ for a plethora of purchases over the year. I also used the protection plan that I obtained through Totaltech to replace a $1000 camera that got a scratch on the lens. BestBuy took the bad camera and overnighted a brand new one to me. I don't know how they could make it any easier or more valuable than it already is. Free 2 year AppleCare+ for my iPhone 14 Pro Max alone covered the cost of Totaltech for a year. If you buy a lot of electronics on an annual basis then Totaltech is a no brainer.

    Worth it!

It's worth it for the most part so far. The one-time fee looks like a lot, but if you buy 2/3 Apple products a year and then other random BB stuff, it will pay for itself.

Joined for Fridge delivery and install of 2nd ice maker. They cancelled my install 3 times and every time I have to go to the back of the line a few weeks out. Empty your fridge, stay around for the 4 hour window, they cancel, total waste of time. I can't imagine having a problem with the appliance afterwards either.
