Cheap price = cheaply built.

You really cannot manufacture it any cheaper. As the heating element needs to be inserted at the bottom of the kettle, the plastic has simply been glued together. It actually leaks a very small amount every time I use it. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing fell apart after a year but hey, for the price do you really expect it to last longer than a year?

love this tea kettle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i have always used an electric tea kettle (usually a procter silex) but this time switched to this tea kettle. easy to replace on stand after use. no coils showing inside of unit. pop up lid works great and is hands free. really looks attractive with stainless trim, would definitely purchase again

It's going back

Unfortunately, two days after bringing it home I noticed a puddle beneath the kettle. I investigated and it turned out that there was a leak through the charging point. I won't be shopping for this brand again.
