Setting up this blood pressure monitor was not easy. The included instructions are unclear on how to set up the important numbers such as date and time. My unit did come with additional information because I’m testing it, and I forgot about that until I had trouble setting it up. Then it made more sense to me, but that made me feel like the included instructions are not good enough. The included instruction booklet has instructions in English, Spanish and French. There is a QR code to scan, but at this time it just goes to the Beurer German website. This unit comes with four AA batteries, and a storage bag, which is always nice. To attach the cuff hose to the monitor, simply plug it into the side of the monitor. The Beurer HealthCoach app is sufficient, very similar to other small appliance apps that I have downloaded and use. You need to set up the blood pressure monitor with the correct date and time before downloading or you will get incorrect date information in the app. My first reading is dated 01/01/2015 at 03:34am. So, that’s definitely incorrect, I fixed it. I’m not confident that the readings are correct. Whenever I get my blood pressure taken at the doctor’s office it’s higher than I would like to admit. These readings are all on the verge of being low. I’ve taken several readings to see if there’s a lot of fluctuation, and they are all in the sub 110 systolic range, which is probably not correct. One time I got an error reading, and that took over a minute, with the arm cuff adjusting three different times, it still didn’t get a reading. As someone who should have lower blood pressure but doesn’t, I have looked for ways to monitor my blood pressure at home. I have read that the wrist cuff is not as accurate as the upper arm cuff, but I’m not sure that’s true either. I’m not sure what my conclusion is here, but I can rate my experience with this unit as average.

This new blood pressure machine is my favorite health tech device, and I love it because it is simple to use and keeps a record of all my readings. The pandemic and the fact that health starts minimizing as one gets older, one can only be proactive and maintain habits to stay healthier, such as reading vital signs. When turned on for the first time, the device will prompt the time, date, Bluetooth on/off setup. Memory storage is for up to 4 user profiles with a record reading of up to 30 readings. Before the initial reading, install the Beure HealthCoach app because the first measurement will prompt a Bluetooth connection to transfer the reading to a mobile device. The LCD screen display is large enough and easy to read. As recommended, I have been reading my blood pressure at the same time of the day. For each reading, I rest for at least five minutes, sitting upright with my back against the support of a chair and feet flat on the ground. Note that reading can be done on both arms and lying down. Place arm cuff as directed, rest hand with palm facing up and start the blood pressure reading. While the machine pumps air to the arm cuffs, don’t move or talk to get the most accurate reading. If Bluetooth is on, readings are automatically transferred to the app. I am delighted that the app can display the latest reading, history, and manual imputed reading and graph this data to analyze how blood pressure has changed over time. On the side of the display is a guidance indicator to inform you how is your blood pressure. If the indicator is in the green zone, it means that your blood pressure is within the normal range. The yellow indicates mild hypertension, orange is moderate hypertension, and red is severe hypertension. Overall, I am highly satisfied with this health tech device, and I recommend it for anyone who likes to maintain a record of their health.

I received this blood pressure monitor couple of weeks ago. Being a high blood pressure patient, I was excited to get this new monitor. We already own a monitor from a very reputed brand but started doubting its accuracy. So I was in the market to get a new one. When I saw this Beurer blood pressure monitor, I immediately ordered it to give it a try. I opened it as soon as I received it. I measured my blood pressure using both monitors one after the other to compare the readings for first couple of days. Initially, they were very close but now there's a big difference between the two. And I know the Beurer's readings are off because they inconsistent with each other. There's big fluctuation among its own readings. Take 3 readings one after another and you will see a big difference between them. It also takes long time to get a reading as compared with our other monitor. The unit comes with everything you need to start measuring your blood pressure though. The package come with 4 batteries, also comes with small storage bag making it easy to store and carry. The device was not easy to set up, at least for me. I'm an engineer and setting up such gadgets is a piece of cake for me. I either got a lemon, or this thing is junk. I read other reviews about the difficulty in setting up bluetooth and they were right - it doesn't come up on my iPhone at all and I could not get it to connect. But that isn't the only problem. When I turn it on, I try to set the time and date and when I hold the "set" button the screen just turns off and nothing happens. I'm not able to set up a basic thing such as date & time on this yet (check the picture). I also installed the Beurer's Health Coach app but will be deleting it because it is just as useless since the monitor will not connect to my phone. Very disappointed in this - I'm usually pretty easygoing on this sort of thing, and I even am understanding that bluetooth is a horrible standard and often is difficult to connect, but this is the worst! This "may" work as a stand alone device if you don't want to do the smartphone thing. I would advise to use it a standalone device so you don't give away your personal information such as health history etc. to Beurer. One positive thing about this is that the unit is compact with a good size display. It is clear if you are sitting in front of it, looking at the display from sides or an angle. The cuff is easy to put on and the size covers almost everyone, however it can get uncomfortable at times while inflating. I've noticed it few times but is usually quite easy on the arm. This one time, the cuff over inflated to the point where it felt like my veins are going to burst and I had to shut it off in the middle of the read because of the pain. That was the only incident when I couldn't take the pressure. As much as I want to like this monitor, there are so many negative points for it that I would definitely not recommend.

The Beurer Blood pressure monitor is a great on the go monitor for those needing to keep track of there blood pressure or those wanting to make sure they are within their optimal range for whatever their reason may be. Out of the box you get everything you need to get you started including the main unit, cuff, travel bag and even 4 AA batteries, which is what the unit takes. The unit allows for setting up 4 different users. Measurements which can either be saved via manually on the unit or through the free Beurer app via Bluetooth. I will say Bluetooth set up was kind of a pain and not the most easiest to get it to connect as it kept giving me a connection lost message. However once connected blood pressure and heart rate readings are automatically sent to your app and are stored for easy comparison and health monitoring. The app is very simplistic in its form as it only allows for a few features. You can store your blood pressure and heart rate and the app will graph your progress for you so you can see how you are progressing through the years. The app also allows for additional readings to be stored such as weight, activity, sleep, SpO2, and temperature. As of writing this review there is no option to link your own devices to the app such as smart watches. There are only 2 ways to add additional data, either manually input your readings or you can buy additional devices from Beurer that will automatically send their results to the app. If the app is not your thing then all measurements can be stored and pulled back up via the main device. On the left side of the screen you will see 6 different color marks which a arrow will line up after your readings are taken to let you know where you fall in the way of blood pressure. The top mark represents severe hyper tension where as the bottom green mark represents optimal pressure. All in all that's pretty much it, this unit is very basic in the way it functions. You get your systolic and diastolic readings along with heart rate. You have 4 different users you can add with the ability to bring up your previous reading. The compact size means that it can easily fit in a medium size purse or backpack. My only real gripe about the unit is the user interface on the main unit feels very clunky in the way of navigating different users and pulling up previous readings. You have to hit the buttons in a specific order to access what it is you want or else the unit will just keep shutting off. Other then that this is a great addition for those on the go who need to stay on top of their levels.

The Beuer BM76 Blood Pressure Monitor is now a part of my daily routine of checking my blood pressure, plain and simple. The display is very large with readable Systolic/Diastolic values, BPM heart rate and even a blood pressure classification level. It’s a no-frills, gets the job done device to come out of Germany, and I’m very happy with it. There is a history of high blood pressure in my family and I’ve neglected to keep tabs on my own health. Let this be a spark to live a healthier lifestyle and to keep the BP readings at 120/80 or better. The one thing I would like to highlight about the BM76 is its ability to send all blood pressure readings to your phone via the Beuer HealthCoach app. After a reading, the unit will try to send its last reading plus any previous readings that were not already captured in the app. Bluetooth pairing is done within the app and the app will prompt you for a 6-digit code right after your blood pressure reading. On your iOS or Android phone, you must have the app open and within Bluetooth distance (I mean, just have it nearby) and the app will automatically capture your readings. That means you don’t really need to have your phone around for every reading or in the case that you forget; the unit will save your readings till the next download. Ultimately, you’ll be able to trend your readings and see if any health adjustments you make affect your BP readings.

Review of BM76 (this is a review as non health professional) The blood pressure measure monitor as device is simple to get ready. The cuff for upper arm circumferences between 8.7 to 17.3, and the monitoring device shows in the lcd multiple indicators Connection to Bluetooth, number of users, res indicator, and the display it self is XL for easy reading as numbers and icons displays in big sizes. The risk inidicator are in total 6, Severe hypertension, moderate hypertension, mid hypertension, high normal, normal, and optimal. These are represented in the grade of colors on the side of the display. Setting up is simple but take some trial and error still. First setting the device with time/date/year/user need to follow the manual as it is not straight forward at first sight. Placing the cuff round the arm also require get used to find the right adjustment. Then placing the air tube connector into the port is straight forward. Using experience: 1. at first was bit lost using the user, and connecting to bluetooth, but repeating the steps from the manual was able to complete. 2. placing cuff around the arm also need several try as placing it bit loose it error out during the reading, placing bit tight makes uncomfortable as pressure too much the arm. 3. the pressure monitoring process takes about 1 minute to 3 minute based on the number of usage I did. What I wish it works better: 1. The user cannot be renamed to identify who is who to keep track of. 2. Synchronising with the application the data, in the application doesn’t tell which data corresponds to what user. Although this is intentional by reading the manual in the way the the synchronization is per user per device. However, from the application the user still can select to see all the users in the same mobile device, in which can’t identify who is whose data is. 3. It need a locking system of the start button as it is placed in the carrying bug it is easy to get started upon touching any contact with any surface. In short, it is helpful to have one and it need multiple times usage to understand how it work. Then it work as intended and measurement are close to what one with bit of knowledge would know. BM76 as comes short in cosmetic and user experience, but its main object to measure seems to work well.

    Sleek BP Monitor !

Immediately when I opened this, I really like the sleekness of it. Its in the shape of a wedge like many of these units but this one is only about 2 in high at the back and about an 1 inch at the front. It is sleek enough that you can hold in your hand, it’s very light and easy. The fact that it is all battery power is great because my other unit still had to be plugged in even though it also used battery for memory. It was twice the size of this and too bulky, not the Beurer, it is easy to handle and maneuver. You start by downloading their Health Coach App, make sure you search on “Beurer Health Coach App” in either Goggle or Apple store as there are other “healthcoach” apps out there. Once installed you go into the app and select the BM76 model. A six digit pin will appear on the unit and when prompted on your device, you will enter that pin to connect. The unit and the app support up to 4 different users that can be tracked. Each user will need to setup the app on their own phones. To change the user on the unit, while the unit is off, you press set and then the +/- button to toggle users. It’s important to leave the app open while you are doing your test because once completed, it will automatically transfer the reading to the app. You can also track other things in the app via self inputs such as weight, activity/steps, sleep, pulse oxi and temperature. Once completed, my reading transferred nicely to the unit. As far as functionality, I really like the unit. I did have a couple readings with errors but re-ran them and they operated fine. This is really no different than other units on the market. This unit provides a single run which may be different than other units that do three back to back readings with 30 second intervals to get an average reading. I found in testing that function against this unit, it was equally accurate. I had already tested my older unit against what my doctor uses and it was very accurate, this unit is also very accurate and in my opinion is more easy with a single reading and much easier to handle and manage due to the size and only being battery powered. Overall I would highly recommend this unit. For the first time, I have a unit that I feel very comfortable in traveling with, it even comes with a nylon case for it! Not bulky like my old one.

Compact - Excellent Blood Pressure Monitor

The Beurer upper arm blood pressure monitor is excellent. A compact monitor that comes with a zipper storage bag, this monitor really does the job quite well. The monitor has a large LED readout screen with a blue background that is easy to read. The design allows the base to sit on the table at an angle that makes reading the results quite easy. A traditional blood monitor cuff is placed on your arm and with one button touch you can get both your blood pressure reading as well as your heart rate. First download their Health Coach app so that you can monitor your results via that app. In setup you open the app and link the monitor to the app and all your data can be downloaded to the app via bluetooth. Multiple users can be associated with the app. in order to store their data as well. The unit operates on 4 batteries and when compared to my other monitor it is very accurate. I like this monitor very much and will use this going forward because I like the tie -in to the app and the ability to electronically store my data. Further I like the ease of use and the large LED readout. I recommend it to all my friends, but especially to my older friends whose eyes may be failing.

My second bp monitoring system. What I really like about this system is the size. Very compact and all items fit in a neat case. Look at my photo. What I don't like, is putting on the left arm is easier than the right. And if you don't put it on "properly", it will say system error. My old one for whatever reason was super easy to put on and never really had any error message. I tried this unit on both arms, 4 times each and had 3 error message. I'm gonna keep using this because I love the size. The buttons are straight forward and easy to understand. Nothing confusing about it. Pull out the box and set up date and time, again super straight forward. Then a big button on the center to start. You can use the app that they have, I tried it and don't think I have a use for it but could see how it would be helpful for some.

Beurer erman made, so you know you are getting a quality product. Not Chinese poor quality. If you live in Virginia, medical devices are not taxed - this device applies. The display is bright and the numbers are big and easy to read, which helps my mother-in-law. Very easy to use. I think the Omron products are better, with memory functions among other things, but they are also 2x the cost.

May not be hospital level quality, but this will help highlight any acute changes or variations in your vital signs. Combine this with a pulse oximeters for full set of numbers.

Nice BP monitor with a great app

First impression: My first impression of the Beurer BM76 blood pressure monitor is that it is a well-made compact BP monitor. It comes with the monitor, monitor case, batteries, and user guides. The monitor is designed to be used with Beurer HealthCoach app. The screen protector isn’t a thin film of plastic, but a thick vinyl film to make sure the screen doesn’t get scratched. Quality: The blood pressure (BP) monitor is very well made. The case is a strong, durable plastic and the screen is large, clean, and easy to read. The buttons are large, and it is easy to see what button does what. The cuff is well made and fits my arm better than my current BP monitor. The hose has a rubber tip that keeps the hose firmly attached to the monitor without making it too difficult to remove. App: The app is probably the highlight in this review. It is fast, very attractive, easy to read, easy to navigate, and easy to manually add information. There is a good balance between icon size and data area, making it easy to identify categories and see the last recorded data. And the font is a large digital font which I really like. On my android phone, it comes in at 41.14 MB. My other one is 222 MB. I really like this app, really! Performance: Initial setup on this monitor is easy. You need to have the app installed and following the instructions in the quick start guide gets you connected quickly. When pairing the monitor to the app, pay attention to the pairing numbers. It doesn’t use 4, it uses 6. The first set is the small numbers at the top. If you aren’t paying attention, you might miss this. The one thing this BP monitor does different than the other ones I have had is that it does the reading, then connects to the app, uploads the results, and then disconnects. At first that struck me as odd, only because all the other ones I have had require the monitor to be connected to the app prior to testing if the data is to be uploaded. I like this much better because if it isn’t trying to upload data, it isn’t connected to my phone. The upload speed is very fast. Like most BP monitors, you push the power button, and the monitor starts. This monitor is faster than all the other ones I have used. It does the test, connects to the app, uploads the data, and then it is done. This BP monitor does everything that a BP monitor should do, make tests easy and provide accurate results. It can even detect an irregular heartbeat and warn if it detects one. There is only one thing this monitor does not do that my other two monitors do, automatic multiple tests. My old one that no longer works had a 2-pass mode. It would take a test, wait 60 seconds, and then do a second test. This mode provides a more accurate reading. My current BP monitor has a 3-pass, where it takes a reading, waits 60 seconds, does a second test, waits 60 seconds, and does a third. I don’t know if 3 is better than 2, bit supposedly 2 is better than one. The buttons on the monitor are easy to push, but maybe just a bit too easy. When picking up the monitor while it is in its storage bag, I must pick it up on the sides because if I grab it top and bottom like I usually do, I start the monitor. When traveling, I would definitely remove the batteries. This is not a problem; all my monitors do this. It’s just an observation. Conclusion: I really like this BP monitor, but I love the app. The app really makes this an awesome system, and I think other medical device manufacturers should look at their app to see how it should be done. The BP monitor does a good job, takes accurate readings, only connects to the app when dumping data, takes fast tests, and provides a secure but easy to remove cuff. The only thing it doesn’t provide is automatic multiple tests. If it took automatic multiple tests, I would rate it a 5, but without I rate it a 4. I do recommend the Beurer BM76 Blood Pressure Monitor.

PROS: - Multiple user profiles - Bluetooth pairing with mobile app - Large, easy to read display - Included travel pouch CONS: - Only one cuff included (one size does NOT fit all) == SETUP == Setting up the blood pressure monitor was pretty easy, the included instructions are very easy to read and follow. While the mobile app isn't required for use, I would HIGHLY recommend that you download and use it. The app helps you manage user profiles and keep track of your readings. This is super helpful for your own personal use, but will really be beneficial if you and your doctor are trying to find any patterns/irregularities in both your heartrate and blood pressure. == USING THE MONITOR == Even if you lose the instructions, the included cuff has directional arrows printed on it to ensure that you are properly wearing the cuff for accurate readings. If you and someone in your home will be using the monitor, you can switch profiles with a single button before you begin measuring your heartrate and blood pressure. My only complaint about this monitor is that it only includes one cuff size. My arms are too big, so trying to use the monitor will be very uncomfortable and provide inaccurate results. The monitor works great with my wife, who really loves that she can now have a daily blood pressure log on her phone. Beurer has several XL cuffs on their website, but not for the BM76 yet. == BOTTOM LINE == If you don't have large arms (you use a standard cuff size at the doctor's office), this is a great tool to have to keep track of your daily blood pressure when paired with the app on your phone.

I got this BP cuff specifically for the integration with the app because I want to be able to take that to my doctor to show the readings over time. It synced up easy with my phone and sends over the readings automatically.

I recently noticed I’ve been getting higher than normal BP, so I wanted to regularly monitor myself from home to keep tabs on my health, and also to be able to provide information for an upcoming doctor visit. I do already have one of the wrist bp readers, but I’m never sure how well it works and doesn’t seem as “doctor-y” as the ones they use in health care centers, the arm wrap version looked like a solid option to compare with. They also mention that this technology “meets the highest clinical standards” so thats nice to know. Setup was pretty easy. Installed the batteries, follow the visual diagram and instruction on how to wrap your arm and go. Then download the app and do the initial setup. The one part that wasn’t smooth was the initial bluetooth connection. I followed the instructions but I couldn’t get it to show me the pairing numbers, but then somehow it started working by itself and hasn’t had a problem since (it automatically connects after the initial pairing). It stores over 30 measurements and appears to support 4 users that I’ve seen. I’m guessing thats 30 measurements each. As far as accuracy goes, I ran tests both on the Beurer and the wrist one I’ve had, both results were actually pretty close, only a few points off and I made sure to run them right the other. The Diastole was actually very close between the two. I even went to my local pharmacy to compare the results thinking it might be more accurate, but that one seemed the most off. I’m assuming they lose calibration after so long, cause right when I got back home both my units tested similarly to each other and about 12-17 points different than the pharmacy one. Overall, I’m pretty impressed with it. I like it more than the wrist version as it seems like a better quality product, and more secure grip and tightness when reading. The screen is nice and big and syncs quickly to my phone when completed so long as the app is open. I’m happy with it.
