I'm a big fan of the band...have seen them in concert multiple times. Glad to have this video with lots of behind the scenes info about the band.

If you love Rush music but don't know much about their history, this is a must viewing. Of particular note is a videotaped coversation between Alex and family about how he wants to quit Grade 12 and pursue a musical career. Who had the foresight to film that? True to their creative instincts from junior high until now, never wavering in their beliefs. You gotta love the conviction. Rush fans feel loved and respected.

I really enjoyed watching this DVD. Being a fan of the band it gave me some insight into the history of the band and how they came together to record some of their music. The interviews with their families and fellow muscians was also nice as well. Even if you are not a fan of the band, you will enjoy watching this dvd. I like the extras included on the dvd version which included among others watching them sit down at a resturant and talk. If your a Rush fan.....get it..... The guys who put Iron Maiden Flight 666 DVD did this one. Enjoy.......

I was so excited during some of the early stuff. The stories of how their love for their music motivated them was inspiring. To hear Geddy and Alex talk of their closeness meant a lot to me, and how Neil fit in so perfectly was amazing. I was suprised to hear the details of how John was replaced; I never knew he had diabetes. I was a little disappointed in how the break-up during Neil's dealing with the deaths of his daughter and wife went, and how they came back together. The treatment of this as a true documentary, and not as an advertising gimic, was a terrific reward. Overall, the movie was as good as going to a concert.

Hopefully you have seen this band at least once live. Only then will you be able to play this movie in 20 years for your grandchildren and relay your own story about the time you saw Rush live. Don't miss this movie and by all means do not miss the Time Machine Tour. I took my daughter last fall after watching this movie and I am going again this spring with my brother and his wife who couldn't stand Rush back in the late 70's. This movie will open alot of eyes and ears that have been closed for the past 30 + years to the most talented 3 piece band the world has ever known.

This is an Excellent Documentary / DVD set !! I've been waiting for something like this, from Rush...for years! It is everything I hoped it would be...& more. I would recommend this, to anyone...who is fan of great music. Whether you're a Rush fan, or not...you will enjoy this great DVD set!!

If you have any interest in Rush, I advise anyone to watch this well thought out and put together piece that talks about everything that deals with this timeless band. Very organized, good production, great detail to band and individuals surrounding the band(i.e. producers and record label representatives), and just what makes Rush...Rush. Not to mention other testimonials from other various artists to musicians such as Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins to Kirk Hammett of Metallica. You will not be disappointed with your purchase at all.

... this DVD will satisfy!!! RUSH definitely rocks, and this gives a history of the band's beginnings and follows their progress through the ages. Great interviews, jammin' live concert and studio sessions!!

I learned a great deal about Rush by watching this video and the special features disc. It was very informative and entertaining,
