Another view of Valley of the Dolls with very brief nudity shots that if you blinked you missed them.

This is truly one of the wildest, craziest movies of all time . . . a wild, wacky, completely over-the-top parody of Hollywood and the music business, courtesy of director Russ Meyer and screenwriter Roger Ebert. Yes, THAT Roger Ebert. As usual, Criterion did a fantastic job with the transfer, packaging and extras. Not to be missed!

These Criterion collection movies are so well done. The packaging is beautiful and there are nice special features.

we knew eventually beyond the valley of the dolls would make it's way to dvd as most of the russ meyer films already had. ironically, it did make it but all of the other russ meyer films appear to be out of print at the moment. how can this be? anyway, let's thank our lucky stars for this release. not only is it affordable but it looks fantastic. in fact, way better than the vhs copies we've had for several years. trust me, you will never be able to get these songs out of your head or will you be able to compleely erase the ending of this film from your mind. be sure to check out all the extras too when you're done with the film. there is just too much fun here to pass up! let it be known however this is not a sequel nor a prequel to the infamous jacqueline sussan story named valley of the dolls which was released a couple of years later. no, this is far more original & even more campy. surprisngly, robert ebert had written the screenplay for this one too.

One of the most awesomely rediculous films ever

This is quite possibly the greatest so bad that it's good film ever. The fact that this absurd bit of film was written by Roger Ebert only makes it that much better (and Ebert that much harder to take seriously)
