I have owned my pair of DV-64s for close to 3 years now. When a company doesn't change the design of a speaker for multiple years like this—it's usually a good indication of quality: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." BIC America has 30 years of experience under their belt & seems to have found the perfect balance of quality components & price. The unique driver configuration in the DV-64 is undoubtedly the first thing that catches your eye. Some may think that four 6.5" drivers are overkill. Actually, only two of the drivers are actively powered while the other two act as passive bass radiators. This eliminated the need for a port, leaving the enclosure completely air tight. The advantage of this design is that the passive radiators help ensure extra bass extension which you will find undoubtedly true. The .75" soft dome tweeter is more than proficient at recreating a range of high-frequency effects including rich vocals. Aesthetically speaking, the DV-64s are large & somewhat clunky like most speakers were 20-years ago. The aren't overtly massive but I would definitely consult the Misses before parading them into the living room unannounced. You really must see these guys for yourself & get a close look at the smooth black varnish & feel the solid build quality before you make your decision. If you're lucky you will be able to listen to them on the floor. If you do, you'll understand how large speaker components & a bulky enclosure directly affect sound quality.

Sounds GREAT!!! The sound gets better after about 100 hours of use. Very clean looks. The price is better than other high end speaker and the sound is as good if not better. Great deal!!

The first thing I noticed after hooking up these speakers was how bright the tweeter is compared to my other set of tower speakers . After a few adjustments on the equalizer, they sounded really good . A great buy for the money

I recently had some other speakers fail on me so I seen these on sale at Best Buy , so I read the reviews , which were good , so I decided to take a chance and buy them . They sound pretty good but the tweeter is extremely bright

I statred my audio addiction in the 70's. College was then when the well to do bmoc had magnaplaners or dahlquist dq 10's driven by nakamichi separates. I've owned it all; adcom, hafler, legacy, straightwire, been there and done that. Now 54 and somewhat saner, I was searching for a small footprint tower, that would deliver the deepest bass and clearest highs for the least money. In other words, nirvahna. Having owned a pair of monitor audio's silver 7i's, I thought about them but they are about 4 times as much as these. I was intrigued by the very low price and excellent specs of these so I bought them on line without ever having seen a pair or heard them. I will say that in 1990 I was in an audio store (yes they used to have stores that just sold stereos) and came across a pair of BIC V820 Venturi's. Bought them, still have them, well, my son does. So I knew if BIC was still BIC that I could expect a great value. These speakers have exceeded any expectations I had. Build quality, finish ,feel and performance are all excellent and all for a price so low I can still not figure out how BIC is profitable. Also, through BestBuy online, shipping was free. Take a chance on these, you'll love them but wonder what you were thinking when you paid more for your last pair and got less.

Have these set up in an odd shaped living room. Sound is clear with punchy bass. They stand slightly taller than a 55 inch LG TV. Handles high volume great from my Yamaha receiver. Works in both a 2.1 and 5.1 set up.

I got this Speakers to replace my Vintage Technics speakers, sound, looks Perfect! good priced. They get real loud without any distortion or if you play low lounge chill music you hear every instruments, sound.

I have had these for about 10 years.Wont find a better speaker,and warranty for the price.There still making them after 10 years means its a great item.
