Picked this up at my local Best Buy. The title says it all for this movie and it's what you get from the moment you put it in the player. I think this is better than eight legged freaks that came out a few years ago. This movie is a nice funny/scarey break from the zombie apocolyps and lovesick vampire/wear wolf movies. So go pick it up today and pop a bowl of popcorn and watch it.

The first 40 minutes are really good build up and although the final reel gets glued in its own web a valiant low-budget Indie giant monster movie with nice perfs across the board. A bit of cheesy gore is offered as the "Spider from Mars," sans David Bowie, gobbles a slew of extras and battles the military and local exterminator (likable Greg Grunberg and Latino security guard Lombardo Boyer). Genre stalwart Ray Wise is a military major who loses the mutant arachnid and gives in finally that the exterminator has a better chance of saving LA than all the weaponry on display. A Viral promo gig helped at the SXSW Film Fest; some of it is seen in the few bonus features. Some nice trailers, too.

Greg Grunberg and Lombardo Boyar are perfect in this movie. Their off-screen friendship serves to enhance the on-screen banter. This movie is fun all the way through. It's not one of those "so bad it's good" low budget train wrecks. It's actually a good movie.

Watching this movie reminded me of the movie 8 legged freaks. It was a great comedy/horror movie with great effects. The acting suited this film and i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Just think of a movie on the sy fy channel and actually insert talented actors but still with a ridiculous plot and comedy.

This is by far the best B movie in years. Acting is good, plot is better. If this even remotely interests you, take a look!
