    Great Purchase

With multiple kids the gameboy/DS has become an extension to the family. It is nice to know that there is a game that they can play that will help expand their brain cells and not have them killing things all of the time! This is an nice, simple, challenging and addicting game. It challenges you on multiple levels including math, logic etc. The nice thing is that you may not get the same puzzle and there are practice lessons that you can take to improve your skills. My eldest kids are trying their hardest to beat each other and my wife and I at it and so the ability to store 4 players worth of data is very nice.

    Ok but gets boring

Big Brain Academy has 5 categories of games with each category having 3 game types for a total of 15 different mini games. Each can be done on an easy, medium or hard difficulty setting and it keeps track of your high score and medal earned for each difficulty level. B.B.A. has save slots for multiple players (4 i think) so you can share with other members of the family. After you get some scores, the opening page once you pick a user shows you a graph so you can see if your brain is more analytical or more computational. So that's a pretty cool feature, you can see what 'type' of brain you have and work on other areas to improve your weaknesses. I just found that the mini-games get boring after a while. I basically played it 90 minutes a day on the train to/from work and was bored with it within a week. The mini games just aren't that compelling.

    Train Your Brain

I picked up Big Brain Academy because of the friendly low price, but stayed for the challenging mini-games. BBA features a number of ways to 'train your brain' by forcing you to use deductive reasoning along with math and a few other skills to keep up with, and master, its many games. The only real downside is that once you've seen what it has to offer (usually just by going through the game once), all that's left is to continue to train by playing the same tests over and over again. Granted, I still haven't mastered ALL the tests, but besides the daily quick tests, there's really not much here for me. A value price gains back a star for an otherwise 3-star game!

    Quick & Fun game

Kids of all ages can enjoy Big Brain Academy. There are 5 categories of games with 3 different games each. Plus, there are 3 difficulty levels for the practice games. Plenty of activities to do. It's nice that Dr. Lobe explains which areas that you need to "work on" to achieve a bigger brain. I would have given this game 5 stars, but the graphics and other dialogue aren't the best, but rather average. Great game; challenging.

this brain game is geared more towards a younger age group. while people of all ages can play, the games tend to keep the kids occupied longer than the adults. i played the game & i thought it was a good way to work my brain for a little while, then i let my 3rd grade cousin play & he couldn't stop for the rest of the night. he was quite determined to get an "A" from the professor.

    Fun and Beneficial

This game is suprisingly fun, considering it's basically a series of IQ tests. The minigames are just as fun as Warioware, and you can actually feel yourself straining your brain to complete them. It's probably not going to make anyone a lot smarter, but it's still fun.

This game is not only addictive when you play by yourself, it's even more fun when you play with your friends(up to 8 players), a lot of games look easy but wait till you try them out, they are very challenging and addictive, you'll love it! Best brain game ever!

the game big brain academy is actually fun. the game has different levels you can go on and it gets challenging the farther you get. My part i was worried about when i first played it was if they would let you practice before you take the test. and yes they do, you can go into a practice round and click on either normal easy or hard and practice it as much as you want before taking your "Final Test or Final exam." so someday just convince your parents to take you to a store an get it.

Big Brain Academy is one of my favorite nintendo Ds games. I like how you can either practice or take a test. It also tells you what catigories you need to improve on. This game is addicting, I wish using your brain at school was more like Big Brain Academy!

This game is superior to Brain Age for a number of reasons: 1) They took away the voice recognition game because it was too buggy and frustrating 2) The score you get is based on how well you do instead of scoring you with an "age". 3) The games are more enjoyable. . I had fun playing the games and comparing my scores to my boyfriend and to my friends. Not to mention while playing you can be happy that you're improving yourself with mental exercise. If you have kids then have them play so they can learn hard work, patience, pattern recognition, critical analysis, etc. . My score was 1600+ - see if you can beat that!

    A Fun Brainteaser

Having had this game for the Wii, I decided to pick up the DS version (which came out first) and was not disappointed. Some challenges are similiar but many are different so it is not redundant to own both versions. It is especially fun with a group of other DS owners. I find that the expert levels are near impossible to master, but that is probably the point so you can always be challenged. A great, inexpensive game that also makes for a good time killer in those down times.

    Okay, but not the best

SynopsisThe second title in Nintendo's series of brain games, Big Brain Academy features plenty of fun mental activities that everyone can enjoy. Take a five-category quiz and test your brain's weight, then you keep practicing and then you'll get a bigger weight, though ages 11 and up may not find this hard, it is still hard to get an A+ like Dr.Lobe.

My 11 year old daughter loves this game (and so do I). It's very educational and makes you use your brain, unlike some other video games. I don't mind her playing this one at all!

If you are looking for another Brain puzzle Game and already own Brain Age 1 and 2, this game is worth a shot were you to happen upon it in a value bin. This isn't the sort of game that you can sit down and play for an hour or two at a time. more so its a game that if you play for 10 minutes a day for a few weeks its fun to see yourself improve at these mental exercises. also fun for parties to throw around the room and enjoy a good laugh about who the dumbest person present is.

This game seemed interesting when I bought it. I hoped that it would be a great way to kill some time when I was bored with other games... Boy was I wrong.. The first time I played it was OK slightly challenging then after I understood all the games it got too easy.... I just never did like this one. It maybe better for a tween but not for me...
