Bought for the kids. They seem to enjoy it more playing with others than alone.

A Fun Sports Mini-Game Experience

I've come to expect these types of games for motion controlled systems and don't expect them to be anything other than a mini-game collection, and expectations for Big League Sports was spot-on (though not a bad thing#.
This is a sports mini-game compilation that includes: Golf, Soccer, Football, Hockey, Basketball, & Baseball. Each sport is broken down into 3 mini-game events that we had a lot of fun with. This game has single player and multiplayer, but multiplayer is where the real fun comes in.
Mini-Games:
The point of each mini-game is to get the highest score possible, and doing this goes toward unlocking 3 trophy pieces for each sport. After a mini-game has been played, the player is awarded points, that fill up a progression meter for that sport; when the meter reaches certain thresholds, a piece of the trophy is unlocked... it's a pretty simple and clean process.
Each mini-game is controlled with specific gestures for the Kinect to recognize, and they mostly do a REALLY good job. They also are easy to understand and get right in to... mostly. Some instructions just felt a little difficult to figure out how to get the gesture correct.
Mini-games range from simulation-style, to abstract. Games like football had you running down the filed in a gauntlet of tacklers you're trying to avoid, and another you were kicking field goals and cotrolling its direction in the air by leaning side-to-side and trying to collect rings that game points and multipliers to increase your score... lots of fun!
Single Player:
The player simply tries to get the highest scores, collect trophy pieces, and andget their name on the top of the leaderboards.
Multiplayer:
Each mini-game is playable by 1-4 players. Each players score is tracked and at the end of the game, they are shown on the results screen, who the winner is. Simple and fun.
Tournament Mode:
This mode allows any 3 mini-games to be selected and played in order. The Player with the highest score wins. This was a lot of fun, and let us have an extended experience that got everyone fired up in with a competitive spirit.
Graphics and Sound:
These are nowhere on par with Kinect Sports #as that's my litmus test for these types of games on Kinect), but they are colorful and bright. The avatars are fun to look at doing various hilarious animations. The Golf course and Hockey stadium are the highlights here.
The sound is a mixed bag, with no licensed music tracks, seemingly missing audio from actions/objects on the course are everywhere, it's just ok to listen to.
Overall:
A fun game that I give a 7/10, and totally recommend... especially at the lower price tag.

Really fun game when played with more than one person. Single player is fun also but this game really shines in a group. Get the kids on this as they can play multiple games one after another with no interuptions. This has always been a pain with many Kinect games and it seems like this game really took that to heart.
