Customers are pleased with BioShock Infinite's captivating gameplay and storyline, praising the immersive environment and unique setting. Many also highlighted the game's excellent sound design and weaponry. While some found the difficulty level to be somewhat easy and the save points infrequent, the positive feedback on other aspects largely outweighs these criticisms.

I bought Bioshock II a year ago and loved playing it. I've played that campaign many times. I was nervous when I read that Bioshock Infinite wouldn't be set in Rapture, but would be set in the early 1900's. I've loved Rapture's graphical looks and enjoyed campaigning in that environment. I'm glad I bought Infinite! The environment is just as detailed as Rapture . . . and just as unique. My wife, who's not a gamer at all, said that of all the games I play, Infinite is the one she likes watching me play because the maps look so authentic. (Wow!)
Without spoiling the plot, I'll just say that some aspects of the game can be combined in so many different ways that you could replay the campaign many times and never play it the same way twice. It's only limited by your creativity.
The best part of the game for me is the story line. As you play the campaign, you'll see bits and pieces of Bioshock and Bioshock II. The ending is well worth it and it helps tie together all three games (or does it? You'll have to decide!). Playing this game was like reading a good book you just can't put down!
The only two negatives are the lack of a multiplayer mode (which may be a positive for some gamers) and the fact that the hard mode isn't much of a challenge for an experienced fps gamer (I play Battlefield 3, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, and Call of Duty II Modern Warfare). I chose "hard" on my first play through and it seemed more like normal to me. The most challenging difficulty is "1999 mode", which you unlock after winning the campaign once (any difficulty, I think). "1999 mode" is REALLY challenging, so you'll have to play through once on a lower difficulty so you can unlock the better difficulty.
Overall, there were no audio or video glitches during playthrough and the game didn't lag despite the heavy graphics load during combat (explosions, etc.) on xbox 360. Like Bioshock II, the game auto saves frequently so you don't have to worry about saving all the time. It takes about 10 - 12 hours to finish the campaign because, after all, it is Bioshock so you have to search everywhere on the map for money and other things you'll need, which takes time.

I haven't had a chance to play it a lot, but the first two Bioshocks were some of my all time favorite games. I'm sure this one will be the same. It is nice to be outside, instead of underground, so that is a good difference. This game also allows you to interact with many more things than before. There are real people and many mini games inside the carnival in the first level.

I loved the first Bioshock. There was nothing like it at the time. I think that comes into play with this review. Infinite has all the things the original had. An excellent story with an amazing detailed atmosphere. The environment seems almost on the opposite end of the spectrum from previous Bioshocks. It also has the same combative formula. Stiff upgradable gun play mixed with various powers. These powers were called plasmids and are now called vigors in Inifinite. Some of these vigors seem recycled or just simply not that fun to use. I find myself using possession and devil's kiss all the time. It also seems a bit graphically outdated although, I believe, the atmosphere and detail more that make up for that. Please don't let that deter you from trying this game. Its great. It just would have been one-of-a-kind if the first Bioshock didn't already exist

I was late to the original Bioshock, but was totally blown away after playing through it. Bioshock 2 was satisfying when it came to the gameplay, but couldn't touch the original with its story. Bioshock Infinite, on the other hand, hits all of the notes of the original and goes beyond. The setting of Columbia is every bit as beautiful and intriguing as Rapture. The gameplay is every bit as exciting as the previous games, with both familiar and new elements added. The game can be challenging and there's plenty of hours of enjoyment to be had. It's a game not to be missed by fans of the original bioshock, or anyone who enjoys the ocassional FPS.

The storyline and concepts are fantastic and explore some interesting territory that you don't usually get to see in games. The astonishingly high level of violence can seem out of place at times, especially for those who are not seasoned gamers. Solid controls, minimal bugs, easily recommended. While this is not a direct sequel, and you'll certainly be able to follow the story without playing the other games, the first Bioshock is so good that it's why this game got such good reviews.

Great game, had a hard time putting it down. Great story, characters, and setting. Never felt more immersed in a game than I did during Bioshock: Infinite. Gameplay and controls are solid, but battles do get repetitive. However, not extraordinarily long and you'll wanna play it again after you beat it, but that's about the extent of the replayability.

I love the first two BioShock games, and BioShock Infinite is definitely a worthy sequel. In many ways, it's better than the originals. The most impressive thing I noticed was the difference in environment. Although I loved the look and feel of the first two games, I could never fully appreciate the environments because of how closed and dark it was (which definitely helped add to the atmosphere), but BioShock Infinite features beautiful, open and illuminated surroundings (without detracting from the atmosphere that the first BioShock games are known for). Game play is as good as ever in the BioShock series, and if you're already familiar with BioShock, then you'll still feel right at home here. However, my one and only gripe is the game ending. The first two BioShock games featured endings that could be influenced by the choices you make throughout the games. Although BioShock Infinite still retains the ability to make many choices throughout the storyline, none of these choices affect the ending. Still, this is a small negative that most gamers can easily overlook, and therefore makes the game worth the buy.

Bioshock 1 was a great game. Its sequel, not so much. Bioshock Infinite feels like the true sequel to the first game. It has a great story, great atmosphere, awesome graphics and more. You will not be disappointed.

I really don't know where to start. So I'll try:
If you've ever played the original Bioshock, you'll love this game. It's absolutely stunning throughout. The level of detail as far as making Columbia feel alive is astounding. Basically it's one of the best looking games to ever grace a console.
What good is a pretty game if the gameplay isn't up to snuff? Luckily, Bioshock: Infinite delivers in spades. This isn't a typical run and gun first person shooter. It's purely story driven and keeps you enveloped until the end. Booker DeWitt is an awesome protagonist, but Elizabeth steals the show.
I won't go into anymore detail because I don't wish to spoil what may very well be GOTY 2013. The ending will shock you!

I loved the first two BioShock games and this one was equally amazing. The new storyline of Columbia is such a great turn for the series. It opens it up to new and different environments and abilities. I would definitely recommend this game to a casual or hardcore gamer.

This is the third installment of the BioShock series yet it is a standalone game with a very good story and surprising plot. If you haven't play any other BioShock games this would be the best to try as it doesn't pick up from the story of the last two. Exceptional game.

I enjoyed Bio Shock, Bio Shock 2 was even better, but Infinite is by far the best of the series. The visuals are stunning as usual, the story has plenty of twists and turns, and it will keep you guessing until the end. The downfall was the short play time, I tend to be an explorer, grabbing all I can and making sure I don't miss any part of a game I can access, still with all the wandering, It only took me 14 hours to complete. The good news is I'll play through again just to see what small story hints I missed, now that I know the ending. This one is a must buy

Bioshock Infinite is a beautiful game. The city in the clouds is as creative and entertaining as the city beneath the sea was in the first Bioshock. The story can be spoiled if I divulge too much so Ill just say that it's interesting and a bit of a puzzle. The gameplay is not really ever a puzzle. I thought it was almost always clear of what to do next. Finding collectables can an extra challenge. My only complaint was that some fights felt a little too frantic compared to the pace of life in Columbia. But it is a game after all, and a really fun game overall.

Just to be clear, I love this game. However, when comparing it to the first two Bioshocks, I did find that the difficulty was somewhat easier than the first two. (And yes, I'm playing on hard.) The storyline is epic as usual with these games and keeps you enthralled, wanting to know what happens next. The only other big disappointment I had was that it's not as scary as the first two games either. This game is about all those little things, so take your time playing it. Overall, awesome game. n_n

As someone who has played the original BioShock and loved it, I didn't think that the third installment in the franchise could really be that much better (as sequels usually aren't). BioShock Infinite proved me wrong, with beautifully designed open-ended levels, a compelling story, and action-packed gameplay that lured me in more than any game in recent memory. If you're at all a fan of first-person shooters, this is a game you have to play.

I love the Bioshock series. Getting this game was a no brainer. I read minimal things about it so I could just play through and decide if I liked it or not. Great game indeed. Excellent storyline and is something you'll enjoy if you liked previous bioshocks. The game is actually very easy. I played on Hard and it felt about the difficulty the game should normally be. I'm fairly experienced in FPS though and don't wan;t the game to be super easy.

A worthy addition to the BioShock series, Infinite abandons the darkness of Rapture for a brightly lit city above the clouds, and thrusts you into the middle of a civil rights powder keg ready to explode. The gameplay itself won't raise any bars, but it's competent and fun, and the setting, story, great characters and mature themes come together to form a completely unique experience that shouldn't be missed.

Stop reading my review and buy this game. -_- I mean it. Fine since you must know more: the story is both perplexing and intriguing; the characters are compelling except for one scene; and there's a new feature in the combat that allows battles to happen across bigger spaces (you'll find yourself using it alot).
