This is a great twist on FPS... I think it's as almost inventive as the original Deus Ex. Best graphics I've seen on any next gen except for R&C on PS3. The combination of FPS and RPG is great. The cool thing is that you totally feel like the world of rupture is alive, all the creatures are doing their thing regardless of what you do... And yeah, its creepy at times... Highly recommended. Deserves all the GOTY awards and hype... unlike the other xbox title which I won't mention...

I rented this game because i wanted a good single player game, and I got what i wanted. If you don't have online on your console, I would deffinitely recommend this game. It only took me a couple days to beat, but that's if you play it for a couple hours each day on easy. I expected it to be creepy and scary, and it was at first, but after a while, you can sort of tell whats going to happen. this is my 3rd favorite single player game, behind fallout 3 and halo 3 ODST

I bought this game after playing the demo on xbox live. I was very impressed with the graphics and the music that transported the player back to the era (1959-1960). The game is fantastic and definitely has replayability value, even though there is no multi-player options. You can't go wrong with this game. Check out all the other game sites reviews and you'll see why this game MIGHT be game of the year...of course HALO3 will probably have something to say about that.

One of 3 must own games for 360, Gears of War, Oblivion, and now Bioshock! Something to keep you busy til Halo 3.

Great story mode with even better controls and HUD. Must-buy for the holiday season and for every xbox 360 owner.

This game is one of the best I've played in awhile. The gameplay is superb and the environments really are stunning. My only real complaint is that the game is too short. It has definite replay value but gets a bit too easy after a few times through.

2K Games is making astounding strides in the last few games first with the darkness and now with bioshock. This game sports one of the best graphic engines i've seen since gears of war, the story has it's moments where you're wondering what your actual purpose is but the gameplay will easily make you forget that. the enemy a.i. will scare the pants off of you as enemies never stay in the same place twice. You have a bunch of weapons at your disposal from pistols to your own body with the ability to "splice" yourself to give yourself some crazy powers. Aside from all of this there's still the ability to "hack" items throughout the landscape to give all types of advantages, and then there's the infamous "big daddies" and how you decide to deal with them, if at all will change he overall gameplay and story outcome. This is a definite buy....Until halo 3.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. I really liked the look and feel of the game. The game was balanced and not too hard on normal. Now that there is some free DLC, I will probably go back and play through again on the next difficulty level. One thing that got a little tiresome was playing through the "Pipe Dream" minigame over and over again, but it's a minor complaint. I'm not sure what the plot would be, but I hope they do a Bioshock 2.

You will have a hard time putting this one down! I know I did. I played it thru once on regular skill level and once on the hardest skill level. Even on the hardest skill level it was not all that hard, but still a sure bet for your collection.

This is it! Fantastic game that really sucks you in. Let me put it to you this way, I'm a smoker and usually I take a break from a game to get my fix. Doesn't happen in this game. I played the first time for 5 hours straight, (girlfriend was busy on the internet), and never felt like getting up. Lots of secret areas and things to discover. Is this the Halo killer? Well, we'll have to wait and see when Halo 3 comes out. Definitely buy this!

Well? are you ready? Are you ready for jaw dropping graphics and gameplay? are you ready to be completely amazed. This game lots of customizations, great voices, awesome storyline, and the atmosphere is AMAZING! This game will suck you in!

I rented this game just to see what it was like. I couldn't get enough of it. Now I'm buying it.

the best part of this game is the graphics. also good is the different story/gameplay. on an hdtv set this looks pretty amazing. the gameplay is nice since it's something different from your typical FPS, but it's not incredible. i find the AI is getting kind of obnoxious and the levels can be a little repetitive. definitely recommended for the experience. not as great as some are touting it to be, but still a game to play.

first and formost is the gaming engine, what a game boils down to is how fun it is, and this game is amazing. its a sick combination of action and horrer, fighting with both guns and powers and a great story line. the first thing you will probably notice when playing this game is the best graphics in any game yet, i would place them slightly better than those of gears of war. overall, this game is revolutionary.

with Hd this is by far the best game ever even better than gears of war graphically.

Great game, great graphics and very open ended on accomplishing tasks throughout the game. Lack of multiplayer knocks it down to 4 stars, but the single player campaign will keep you very entertained.
