This game is outstanding, from the graphics to the gameplay. One of the best features that this game has is the ability to shoot powers from your hand (i.e. firebolts and lightning bolts). Sadly the only thing that this is lacking is online play! but it is a GREAT game and definatley buy it

This game is a masterpiece. There is no other way to describe it. Some will say there is not enough action or the lack of a great multiplayer experience brings it down but this game is not like the others. This game begs you to play late at night with the lights off and your surround sound system cranked. It begs you to search every corner of Rapture for hidden treasures and hidden horrors. More than ever it begs you to try and sort out whats really going on in this underwater utopia. You will be engrosed, you will be awed, you will never want to leave. Don't get me wrong, there is some amazing action sequences in this game but from the opening moments its the story and the "whats around the corner" feel that truly makes this game great. The environment all around you is almost fully interactive leaving nothing that can't be blown up or scourged to find loot and items that ultimately help you with upgrades, mods, health kits, ammunition, you name it. BUY THIS GAME. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

If you like fast action with great art detail, and an overall creepy tone, this is the game for you. It's the Winner of G4's best game award and it's well deserved. I'm sick of games where the developers haven't put any thought in the plot and gameplay and this was a true gem.

Graphics are tight! gameplay is very involving with some exploring involved instead of a direct path which some fps's take. I like the upgrading my abilities part of the game as well. A nice option is taking a good or evil path which has a different outcome to the games ending.

Bioshock turned out to be a fantastic game. The overall game experience pulls you in to the story very well. The graphics are first rate and the voice overs and storyline are excellent. The characters are also interesting and creepy and are seemlessly part of the story. The slicers are fast and The Big Daddy's also pack a wallop. Game load times were fine and I did not observe any glitches with the game. Gameplay was mostly smooth with no issues that I could fine except one thing.... as I played the game I noticed I would get occasional freezes that really ruined the game. I looked it up on the internet and found out that when this happens, you must clear the hard disk cache for the game. It was easy to do by loading the game while holding down the right and left buttons above the triggers. Once I did this, problem solved! Other than that, I have nothing else negative to say. If you get the chance to play this game, do it. It is a must buy!

It's a great game, but it goes by way to fast. The graphics are excellent and the gameplay is awesome, the story line is superb and full of twists and turns. The plasmid feature could have been a little bit stronger. They aren't strong enough to use as weapons alone. Lack of online play really kills replayability. I beat it in a couple days, took another day to get all the achievements, and haven't played since.

I really love the Art Deco feel of the game. The plasmid and tonic system is good and it is a very involved first-person shooter. It is kind of short and is really easy on the lowest setting, but the content of the game outweighs that for me. Great game! Go get it!

Every gamer should own this or have played this. This is a great game with great graphics. The different abilities offer more to the gameplay, and the scary scenes have you creeping around every corner hoping something doesn't pop out at you. Very fun game.

Bioshock is the best and most involving single player experience I have had in quite some time. I am enjoying every plot twist and exciting turn the game takes! Using the enviroment as a weapon was so revolutionary for me, so not only can I use my shotgun, but I can light that pool of oil on fire with Incinerate and create a fire wall between me and my enemy! Or even electrify water to zap them! Never have I been so deeply engaged in a game's storyline. This game is much, much more. At first, i was discouraged from the game because i thought i didn't like scary games much. BioShock truly isn't very scary, and the only thing that will scare you is having an enemy turn out the lights and then attack you from behind. that's how smart the AI is. I give this game a 98 out of 100 because it doesn't have multiplayer - but its still one of the top 3 games I have ever played.

This is the most amazing game visually I've ever seen. One of the most strategic shooters I've played, and the storyline and voice acting is incredible. Nothing but positives for this game. If you have an Xbox360, you have to get this game.

A great game to pass the time till Halo 3. The plasmids are a very cool addition to the game and using them can be the difference. I love the telekinesis plasmid, picking up a cash register and throwing it at an enemy nevers gets old!

now this game is not for all gamers, but i would say if your willing to try something unordinary go for bioshock. I am a big gamer and a achievement junkie for xbox 360 reviews and i write reviews for xbox360achievements.org on how to achieve them. now this game is very eerie and takes place after being in a plane crash, you make your way in a litehouse with a submarine. the sub takes you to Rapture wich is a place far under the ocean founded by Andrew Ryan a scientist who created adom and messed with genetic coding. Everything fell apart in the city after everyone was spliced up to bad from the adom. its up to you to save yourself and use the adom to your advantage in order to make powerful weapons. ?s msg me on xbox live with any tips on any games. blitz1216

I bought this game with my 360 when i got it and i think its still a fun game but...it just gets old after a while but if you really wanna pick up a game with just about good everything then i think its a definate purchase.

it well deserves game of the year, this game is so fun and addicting i couldnt ever put it down. the weapons and special powers you get are sick. the campaign is sick. well worth buying. i strongly advise buying this.

One of the best games I have ever played. It has a great plot. It could have been a major motion picture, but I'm glad its a video game! It only has a single player storyline, but I could play it though again happily.

This game is awesome. My roomate has a PS3 and has watched me play this. He wants a 360 just cause of this game. Game play is great and it is creepy to play.

This is a game that grabs you from the begging and never lets up. This game has the best story i have played becuase you can decide your out come and it makes you think, so you are likely to play it again!

Bioshock was really fun, wasnt a real challange but at times it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, the graphics were good i love using the tonics and weapons i highly recommend this game!

This game is so awesome. I love how you can have many different powers from the plasmids. The game progressively gets harder...which I like. The plot is very different and unique. I love the graphics.
