The Rock's here to look menacing and mess up whatever's dumb enough to block his path, and in that, it delivers what it promises, even if being made to feel like several different not-quite-complete movies in one to fit a two-hour window was the price to pay. While it's big on smash-happy action (in populated locations too - fancy that) and never allows itself to get dull, the fights are visually noisy and often undercut by editing a little too rapid, CG with zero sense of weight, and a few requisite jokey-jokes that don't quite hit. On the plus side, for those still worrying about SnyderVerse erasure, this, like all the DCEU's best efforts, was made with fondness for Snyder's JL Trilogy, as there are a number of very obvious visual tributes to it and Zack's stylings in general. There's even, albeit lightly, some addressing of similar thematic threads, namely the legend/public perception vs. the hero's personal reality. So it's not the big dramatic step we may have hoped for so much a tiptoe forward for the directionless DCEU. Is the franchise richer for its existence? I'm leaning on yes, even if I wished for as much flesh in the story as there is flash on the screen.

Spoiler alert. Get past the opening monologue, which does not coincide with any comic book origin, and its a fun ride until once again, it slides into a complete character arc that is so far off from the Black Adam character it disappoints. It's redeemable features are the interaction with the other characters and the cameo of Henry Cavilll as Superman

This movie isn't great, but it is entertaining. Good representation of a few great DC characters.

The film itself is Fantastic, very re-watchable DC action packed Fun. Since the Nolan/Snyder era ended. the DC handlers have not delivered the same quality. Black Adam is really Great though. It has been DISNEYfied, but is still Hardcore and the Rock really is Great casting. The Steelbook is generic though.

You need to approach this movie as simply fun entertainment or what most of the Theater Enthusiasts would call a Popcorn Flick. The quality of the video and audio tracks looked and sounded great. The storyline is not unique or inspiring and simply light entertainment with a few comedic points in the movie.

Excellent looking movie but make sure to have a 4k TV and a 4k DVD player to get the max.

Black Adam was really good, i really don't know much about Black Adam but this movie got my interest in it, plus if you a fan of superhero movies you'll going to enjoy this move and love the art work on the steel book as well

I am late to the steenbok collecting and thought I missed out on this. I got a notification for being back in stock and jumped at the chance. I really enjoyed this movie and the steel looks sleek!

Black Adam! Is there a movie that the Rock is not starring in? Lol! He is the man! This is a action packed movie from start to finish! Destruction on Steroids! Lol! Get this movie! Nuff said!

Great movie and ashame it didn’t do better in the theaters. Ashame DC Comics didn’t let the Rocks version come true with Henry Cavil as Superman. Would have made the sequel even better

One of the better steelbook from DCEU. Graphics, soundtrack and intensity is a 10/10. Worth the watch at home. Storyline…6/10. Henry’s appearance definitely pushed it to a 7/10 for me.

Nice steel, another DC film that was hammered with controversy. Really wish this stayed in the DC Universe. Rick did a great job, film was funny, plenty of action.
