Didn’t Even Last 8 Months!!!

Didn’t last even 8 months!! Very disappointed. Sad to see the quality has dramatically dropped. Up until this point I was pretty satisfied with the iron but not anymore.

The on/off button is badly positioned, I constantly was turning the iron off when using.

Not hot enough

Made of poor quality materials

Black & Decker used to be made of much higher quality materials. This iron is mostly made of plastic, the only metal is the very thin ironing plate. I will be returning it for a refund.

30 sec auto shutoff WHILE IRONING
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The thing shuts off every 30 sec even while iron is being used flat on ironing board. I checked the manual and this is a (ridiculous) setting that the manufacturer has built into their product. It's a shame because it makes it very difficult and annoying to use for both sewing and garment ironing. I can recommend this product for the excellent amount of steam and good amount of heat needed for both sewing and garments, but the auto shutoff being 30 sec instead of minutes like others makes it almost useless.
