It blends well, has a few different options for smoothies, shakes, ect. A bit more intuitive than your bottom tier blender. Blends well. Fairly quiet but not the quietest out there. Its a solid middle of the road blender.

The preset mixing program buttons are nice to have for milkshakes and smoothies. The blade assembly in the bottom of the jar is easy to remove for cleaning after each use for quick cleanup. I like the glass jar and it is sturdy when sitting it on the counter with the wide jar base.

So for small protein smoothies it would work, but if you wanna crush hard ice probably look for more expensive options.

Maybe a little bit quieter but not much I can tell. Shipping was bad, box was broken and inside got dirty. I had to go to a store to return it and got a replacement order. The new one was fine with shipping box.
