I'm a huge fan of gangster movies I try not to compare movies. But this movie compared to GoodFellas well there is no comparison. This movie is okay a little slow at times. It just fell like they left something out.

Black Mass is one of Johnny Deep best roles as a gangster. This movie does not disappoint. It has great acting and great action it's up there with my all time favorite. Go out and buy it it want disappoint you.

Interesting story finially told. The FBI's association with the Mob, rich keep getting richer, the disregard for human life it was unbelievable. Until everything falls, gangsters blowing the whistle to save themselves.

Deep has perfected his craft in this crime biopic on the infamous Whitey Bulger. This gripping tale of the Boston crime lord is far too incredible to believe. This movie also has a wonderful supporting cast.

This movie appears to be historically correct. The story line as a whole was good. The acting and action was very good.

Great movie and i got it at a great price. I didn't realize it but when i got home the case was opened and there wasn't a dvd in case. I took it back to Best Buy and they exchanged without any problems.

A disturbing look at the kind of folks that are out there wandering around while we go on with our daily lives. Depp does a great job of showing us the underbelly of society. A spot on job by the lead actor here

Ever since Whitey Bulger resurfaced in the news a few years back, I was intrigued to know more. I do realize the movie most likely took a few liberties, but it was still an interesting take on this man.

Johnny Depp is excellent as infamous gangster Jimmy "Whitey" Bulger. It's difficult to understand how such a family man could also be such a cold blooded heartless killer but Depp portrays the character flawlessly.

Not only did Johnny Depp do a terrific job as Whitey Bulger, but it told a great story giving us as an audience, so much intrigue, and suspense all the way to the very end that you never knew what was coming next..

Good movie overall. I appreciate they actually told it all the way to when Whitey was caught, even though they left a couple key details out about his wife breast implants which in the end led to his capture.

What. A. Movie!!!! Hands down the best role Johnny Depp has performed. An incredible amount of feeling and emotion evoked from both the actor and the audience. One of the best movies and mobster flicks out there!

I think it's a more in depth account to the story than 'The Departed' and gives another view of the same story form a different perspective. Well acted and a nice companion piece to the above named movie!

Black mass is a good movie but not as good as all the hype they gave it. Johnny Depp does a awesome job as Bulger, but go in with the expectation that this is a good movie and not great and you will like it.

Very happy that I am able to watch my favorite shows any time I would like for a very reasonable price. I had to go to various locations to get all that i wanted but it was worth it, in the end.

Compelling and powerfully acted. Johnny Depp is definitely in his element with this crime drama. If you enjoy true mob/drug dealer story's this one is a must. If Depps in Blow was 9 then he's a 8 in Black Mass.

Movie was well made with good story. Kept you on edge. Johnny Depp had a solid performance. Seems like they cut a bunch of parts out the story to get the overall story in but overall I enjoyed it.

I was not aware of this story prior to watching it. It was a VERY interesting movie for me! Will not give away any details as I think it's really worth a watch especially if you are intrigued by mob stories.

Good movie with an easy to follow plot. While there is plenty of action and some dark content, there is also enough explanation to find some truth. We'll done, have already recommended it to a friend.

I must say Johnny Depp gets so into character in this film he really out did himself as he portrays whitey bulge to the t .I recommend this film highly for your mob movie buffs a must to see and own.
