    One of the best to do it out of NY. Debut album, with great songs and lyricism. Mathematics is definitely a standout.

    this is a great CD -- the best songs are Ms. Fat Booty, UMI says as these are singles but also Hip Hop and Brooklyn also shine on this ... great album overall -- get this along with Talib Kweli/Hi Tek Reflections Eternal and Rawkus Records compilation vol 1 from 95-2005 and you have a great set displaying the Rawkus family

    Mos Def will never dissapoint you if your looking for great Hip Hop. Black on Both Sides is brilliant from start to finish. If you dont have this LP in your collection, you are mos def missing out!
