Bought the complete first season, and the quality of the show is unbelievably clear. The case itself is so cool!!The cover is a hologram, and when you take out the case there is a picture of every pirate. It comes with special features & digital HD Ultraviolet feature. Which means you can instantly stream & download on your pc, tablet, or smartphone.

This is an excellent series, with a very beautiful, cinematic shooting style. It looks really good on your typical HD TV set. Story line becomes very engrossing and it has one of my favorite actors in it (Tom Hopper), from Merlin, the BBC show. Everyone knows about pirates, but most stories gloss over the personalities behind these people. Very well done. I ordered season 2 already.

Black Sails is certainly adult oriented, not meant for kids due to extreme graphic violence and for PC crowd, nudity, however it is an intriguing series with lots of characters pursuing their own agendas. Point being, one must watch each episode closely so as not to miss the overall plot. If you enjoy series like the Game of Thrones for instance, you will also enjoy Black Sails.

After watching and enjoying Vikings, my husband and I decided to give this series a try. All I can say is that we weren't disappointed. This show is fantastic!! We blew through both seasons in less than 3 weeks and are now anxiously awaiting Season 3, which doesn't even start airing on television until later this month :)

Awesome show, if you like pirates you will definitely like this. The cinematography is excellent , the special effects and props were on points. This show doesn't disappoint, it started if off slow as expected but then bang action all day. It's a real good show , this belongs in everyone's collection. A must have, I will be watching season 2 in a few days .

Black Sails is a greaat show with a great story and i would love to see a treasure Island film with the same actors to end the show. Great acting, the locations are wonderful and transport you to the world of the Caribbean. Considering its a prequel to treasure Island they did a goog job of blending real life pirates and fictional ones.

I had never seen this show before cause I don't have Stars but heard about it...Great TV Show!!! Really keeps on your feet with the action and the visuals of the ocean and everything is amazing!! Defiantly a ADULT only series...not for kids or even Teens...be mindful....

Season starts off with a few notable characters from the folklore to get your interest. All of are trying to get the biggest prize that the pirate port of Nassau has ever seen, in order to continue in the ways of plunder, rum and women or something bigger for all Nassau's profit.

If you are interested in pirates, lots of action, stunning scenery and surprises, then this movie is for you. The acting is great and draws you into each of the characters. This is a great movie series and can't wait till the next season is released. Beware, this is not a family friendly movie.

This ain't Johnny depp and his incompetent crew. But rather characters with real motivation and problems. Captain flint is a madman and Silver is captivating. Can't wait for season 3. I love the development of the characters and their actions given the circumstances. Great series.

I have come to really appreciate this series. It is a perfect blend of fact and fiction and reveals the surprisingly democratic system that pirates maintained. Colorful characters and great locations. Don't expect "Pirates of the Caribbean"! :-)

I just started watching Black Sails and now find myself binge-watching...I'm in the middle of season 3 now. I love period pieces and this one is really well done. I love that they use historical characters like Long John Silver. Great show!

I bought this for my husband and we both love it. If you enjoy playing the previous version of Assassin's Creed, it's kinda like a gritty, live action drama with a similar flavor to it. Most likely going to purchase a subscription to Starz to check out season 2 now.

For any history buffs out there that thought pirate movies of the past (and not so past) were much too campy or goofy, this series finally shows a more realistic view of Caribbean pirates and the larger world around them. So good in fact, I almost forgot that Michael Bay produced this series.

This is a very good series. The story is quite involved really and you do have to pay attention, lots of characters, back stories, intrigue, etc. It does give a real feeling of being back in the time and place of pirates (and glad at the same time that I'm here in modern times USA!)

A Treasure Island prequel? Pirates? Long John Silver? Capn Flint? Billy Bones? Yes please! Whats not to like? Set 20 years before the beloved novel, these tales fill in the what if, or could have beens, or maybes. Well written and acted. Give it a go

Combining actual and fictional characters in a compelling story. Part of the season is too landlocked but they are developing characters and storylines for the future that come to fruition in later episodes and seasons. Definitely an overlooked series worth viewing.

Black Sails is one of the best shows on Starz!!! Season 1 was more of an introduction of the main characters and action. So sad to hear, that season 4 is the last Season. I will truly miss this show!!! It was quite a ride!

Nice combination of fictional characters and real characters. Cool lead into Treasure Island characters. Good production values and filming location. Not perfect for the Bahamas but pretty good none the less. Great show.

This season was much more entertaining that i thought it would be. it kept me interested and now i'm hooked and impatient to see another season.
