  • Good for younger kids

    Bought this for my 12 year old son and he (and myself) were less than impressed with this RC. I figured that since it had the 9.6V battery that it would have some speed to it but it is extremely slow. The wheels are hard and can not work on smooth surfaces like tile or wood. The power of it does drive over short grass which is good. The controls are smooth to operate. So for my review, this would be a great RC for a kid under 10 but don't buy this for a kid that has worked an RC in the past or loves speed. The $25 remote I bought from Walgreens was faster. I won't be returning this as I have other kids in the family that will like it.
