Christina Ricci deserved an Oscar for her performance in Black Snake Moan. She was at every end of the psychological / emotional spectrum in this film. Samuel L. Jackson delivered a role unlike any he has ever done, portraying a man with an unbendable moral compass. His singing is actually not bad at all - great to see him in something other than the highly annoying Capital One Credit Card commercials.

Black Snake Moan is unique in its own way. Samuel L. Jackson as Lazarus tries to help Christina Ricci character Rae from her wild temptation for intercourse. She is a nympho and cant stop her urges. Lazarus only method is to lock her up and go through withdrawal as she tries to break free from it.

love this movie. we let someone borrow ours and never got it back, we looked for a long time before we found this one.

Black Snake Moan is a powerful movie, it has all the things needed to be great and when you watch it and the story unfolds you get a huge rush of emotions. Some of the best parts of this movie is where it will take you and leave you when it's over.

this is one of those movies that sneak up on you. It starts out like just another Down in the south black on white crime drama. it turns out to be something entirely different. Im not telling anything. So if your curious, get the movie and enjoy Sam Jackson at his best and C.Ricci at her best.

fist time i saw the film, i would have given it 5 stars without a doubt. second time, it wasn't quite as good as i remembered it being. still a very good movie, and worth buying at a lower price.

The movie may not be the greatest in terms of Oscar-worthy, but hearing Sammy L. pluck a geetar and sing some bluegrass made this movie very entertaining!

Sam Jackson and Chrisina Ricci, and blues music it dosen't get much better than this. The movie is gritty, dirty and raw, but it is a must see.

Black Snake Moan is a great movie. Actors are phenomenal. Especially Samuel Jackson. Entertainment galore with awesome blues guitar playing coupled with seductive sex scenes.

Timberlake and Kim Richards (plays Ricci's mom) are also excellent, as is Merkerson (Jackson's friend). Highly recommended.

i thought this might be one those raunchy dark movies (and it was) but it was truly a great movie with so much to offer

SOME GOOD BLUES MUSIC AND A BETTER STORY THAN I EXPECTED

I never heard of this movie until I saw it on sale at Best Buy. I watched it the other day, and it was really good.

Impossible to find in stores, well worth the wait to order.
