Decent MCU movie. I expected more from it, but Florence Pugh was really fantastic in it and played a strong female character who you also feel very sympathetic for through-out the movie. She brought a kind of vulnerability that didn't feel like she was overstating her victimhood. In the context of the film you can really understand her characters viewpoint. And her character was just really lovable through-out the film in many ways. But unfortunately besides her, there's not a whole lot more that really stands out in this movie. Johansson was good in her role, as usual, but is definitely overshadowed by Pugh's performance. And I hate to say it, because I normally love David Harbour but he was definitely one of the weak points in the movie. His character leaned too heavily on comedy for its own good to the point where it's just too hammy. Also David Harbour couldn't stick to his fake Russian accent and his American accent came out many times during the movie randomly in the middle of his lines. Overall it's an enjoyable movie but definitely not one of the MCU's best.

The film itself is fine, but there are so many minor things in the film that build up to a frustrating watch. Florence Pugh is the standout of the film, and I can't wait to see more from her. But the film doesn't really justify its own existence. The steelbook is fine too. Overall, I recommend watching it before buying this steelbook.

Scarlet Jo is incredible. I've been a fan since Iron Man 2. She is a great role model for my girls or any one. This movie seemed to be another example of too many executives getting involved. The ending made no sense and we still have to see what VAL is up to. I mean, I guess.. if its not broken, don't fix it but this insert superhero here, insert broken, sympathetic villain here plot is getting a little old. Its the MCU, we could live with some interesting unresolved issues. Nothing unresolved in this film was interesting. Her sister was great in Hawkeye, but even that was a little forced. Who knows, I'm getting too old for this s'tuff'.

I really loved this back story about BLACK WIDOW. I especially loved their choice of her ' sister ' Florence Pugh she is a great action star too, even though this is first time I've seen her in a movie. The father is a good pick too, but one i enjoyed most was the mother: Rachel Weisz from Mummy series, she is such a great choice. The action is really good, i was a little confused on where in the marvel universe this time line fits in, especially the very last part. I really think this character deserves atleast 1 more movie to round out story line. I also like to see 2 more for Doctor strange, black panther and 3 for hulk with Mark Ruffalo. The newest live action movies are such much better since the first IRON MAN. And since i am such a Samuel L Jackson fan he needs his own 3 series as SHIELD leader including his beginning.

It shouldn’t have taken 11 years for Black Widow to get her standalone and it’s unfortunate that when she did we were in the midst of a world wide pandemic. But, what Scarlett Johansson & Cate Shortland delivered was nothing short of awesome. Everything from the action to the set pieces is pretty spot on but where this film really shines is in the dysfunctional family story line. The sarcastic banter between Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour & Rachel Weisz is just outstanding! The dynamic between Johansson & Pugh is so exceptional I wish we could’ve had a second starring vehicle for them. All in all I thought Black Widow was a perfect send off for Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff.

Black Widow was one of the origin Avenger stories that was dangled in front of fans for a long time before finally coming to fruition last year. The movie itself tells the harrowing tale of Natasha Romanova, (fictional Avengers character), in how she became the elite agent fighting with the Avengers and how her past catches up with her. Personally, I thought the film was well done. The 4K release really is reference quality material both visually and with its Dolby Atmos soundtrack. I highly recommend the movie especially if you are a fan of the series.

I loved the video. How can anyone not love Black Widow's final movie in the MCU. The action scenes are great. I loved the dialog interplay with her sister, father and mother. Scarlett was a terrific selection to play the Widow from her first inclusion in Iron Man 2, so this is a great sendoff for her. Plus, I waited patiently for the Blu-Ray/digital, so that sales would probably be received by her, than going digital from Disney plus. Knowing Marvel, I know enough that 'death' is never final in the Universe, so she's young enough that one day, we may see her again. Never say Never. Oh snap, Bond quote, but it holds for her too.

This was such a great backstory movie. There was a lot that has been missing about Black Widows's past and this answered it all. This is not a sequel movie, but more of an origin movie. It starts out with Natasha as a youngster with her sister and parents in 1995. After that, most of movie takes place in 2016, right after the events of Captain America: Civil War. The addition of Natasha's sister in particular, was awesome! She was as badass and funny as Natasha. The two of them working together was a thing of beauty! Great action. great story, great laughs and filled in so many missing pieces of Natasha's story. Well worth watching!

The movie is ok, about a 3 5 to 4 out of 5. This release gets a 5 because the steelbook is gorgeous, the transfer was well done, very satisfied. There are plenty of reviews out there about the film. The action and fight choreography was good if a little over the top especially near the end. Male characters were shorted in the quality of their writing and roles. David Harbour was grear with wgat he had to work with. so largely wasted. Scarlett and Florence Pugh were excellent abd understandably were the focus. Good popcorn movie. Solid buy! Received in the mail, well packed and without damage. Much appreciated!

While it can't help but MCU it up in terms of plot conveniences and mood-killing humor (though I enjoyed the repeated meta-joke about Nat's choice of superhero landing), it mostly delivers on the return to the Winter Soldier flavor I was hoping for, and makes a better Infinity Saga epilogue than Far From Home, not to mention a way better "girl power" MCU film than Captain Marvel. I can applaud how it makes good on its promise to make the Me Too movement part of its central theme, though the effort might have made a lot more impact with a more interesting villain and a lead actress less inclined to praise known predators. Also, I'm down for whatever extended part Florence Pugh has to play in future MCU projects, because she easily walks away with the movie.

Scarlett Johansson made me fall in love with her after that fight scene in Iron Man 2 and Natasha reveal herself. I couldn’t miss the chance to see her back story. Now if you own a blu-ray, you intend to collect these DVD. Black widow was a long story. I’m not familiar with the comic book story so, I can’t say how close they came to on screen. This will appeal to the 70 & 80’s babies that can appreciate a good spy drama. The young folks 90’s to present is gonna have to do a little googling to understand the way things use to be in the pre-computer era.

The movie is overall great, effects/acting/story/etc., and I really don't get the negative reviews. Black Widow is at least as good as most of the other superhero movies, if not all. An aspect I particularly liked was how the humor in Black Widow isn't asinine and silly, as if meant for children, contrasting some the humor that's been being infused into these superhero shows which can have a tendency to be too silly in some of the other Marvel movies. Would rate it 4.5, rounded up to 5, as there are few completely perfect movies but BW is overall great

Many of us Marvel fans have waited years for Black Widow to finally get her own movie and now it is here. I must admit that this flick threw me off just a bit from the beginning. It is more about her past and the family she grew up with long before being a Super Hero. Her sister teams up with her against the Russian mob and there is a bit of a dark edge to the entire movie. I still liked it, but it is not one of Marvel's best. Perhaps the Pandemic affected filming, availability and director/staff/production team, etc. It didn't really have that magical Marvel feel to it for me. Very predictable plot. I gave it 4 stars because I'm a big fan, but honestly this movie would probably fall right into the "3" star range for most.
