It's me again!!!!!!!!!!! You already know what it is!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, the cd is good and I would recommend this cd. However, this cd is not long enough. It has a good sound, but it may have to grow on you. If you are a true Maxwell fan, you will be fine. I am not a real fan,but this cd is special. I am a Prince fan and Max reminds me of Prince on some songs. Stop The World will put you in that mellow zone. It is a true hit. You will feel this cd for sure. I am a music critic from the oldschool and I will tell you if something is garbage. I listen to a lot of true oldschool and this cd takes me back. There could have been more songs,but it still is pretty good for as long as he was away from the music. All Max fans should have this cd at this very moment. Peace N Love Always...................... Ok here is the deal, I think everyone was expecting the old Maxwell with all the hair and the slow groove ballads on most of the cd, but this is not the case. 8 years in the making, hmmm... I am torn. He was went totally neo-soul but he does have a message if you listen to the words, like on the song, Playing Possum. So I will recommend the cd, but you have to listen to it for it to grow on you. So if you are looking for of his like Softly, Softly, you are not going to find it on here, but if you are looking to hear some good music go out and buy the cd.

I was eagerly anticipating this release. I will admit that I am stuck on Bad Habit, because his voice and presence is a bad habit for me. LOL! At any rate I was craving more of the "Pretty Wings" sound and Bad Habit takes me there. From the quick once over I did I am pleased. I need to spend a day in the house with the surround sound and take it all in.

keeping inline with his touch for R & B Maxwell has come through again with selections which expresses his overall versitily to combine his jazz infusion that reaches all who appreciate his unique touch that sets his music apart from others

I was fortune it enough to get an early copy of this CD so I have had time to listen to it a few times. The first song is classic Maxwell, just good music. Then it moves into a more uptempo song but soon has you vibing to slow song. Over all I would give it an 8 not because of the quality of the songs but because I would expect more after such a long hiatus. This is just down right cruel of Sony or whom ever had control of the songs to release a CD with only 8 songs + 1 with music. Anyway I'll save my whining for another day, today I will celebrate and enjoy this great music he has put out...Thanks Maxwell

Maxwell is back to his old games again... Giving the People what they want GOOD MUSIC. Pretty Wings was just a taste of the much waited CD from Maxwell. 7 years out of the game and we only get 8 songs "that an Old School CD" no 18 songs here. PHOENIXRISE is just a get Jazz Outro.. Songs like STOPTHEWORLD and LOVEYOU are must play for that speical someone in your life. I can't wait for Part 2 of BLACKsummers' night. Maxwell please give us at least 15 tracks next time......

I could not wait to buy this album since the moment I heard Maxwell was releasing a new CD. I rushed to BB as soon as I got off work to buy it. Needless to say, it's well worth the wait! The instrumentals are smooth and set a nice groove. As always, Maxwell's vocals are sublime and melt you like butter. Buy this CD now ( and all his other releases for that matter)!

I think the CD is different from his other CD's, but it still has the same vibe and sexiness that Maxwell brings. This CD is Maxwell doing Maxwell! Him giving us another part of who is and the man that he has become.

Maxwell is back!! He may have lost the hair but he has not lost his touch! This cd is as soulful as all his others! I am loving this one because he is so genuine, so classy! Makes me feel grown & sexy!!

to be honest this artist is horrible. I find that he has no talent. He should save himself the trouble and quit
