Produced by Netflix and created by Polygon Pictures (Japan). It has a distinctive appearance known from this studio. Other shows available on Netflix by this Studios are Godzilla and AJIN. About a decade ago, they created The sky Crawlers—that was an anime not for younger children. Blame! Is a strangely named anime about the survival of a small group of human, now living under the ground. The relationship of this civilization intertwined so much with the computer and when an infection caused the automated systems to go unhinged and human lost access to the city's controls. Youngsters go on a journey to find food and half of the group trying to survive and return to the safe house, a wanderer named Killy (yes, that is a strange name for a character) saved the day. Think of it as the cartoon version of Terminator. Most characters are desperate to survive and you cannot help liking them and feeling sorry for them. All the movies that this studio has produced at least within the past 10 years are exquisitely detailed. (They are not hand-drawn like the Studios that created Spirited Away.) Keep in mind that this is not geared for the audience like the movies made by Pixar. There is a lot of violence and some characters get hurt and are killed. Remember this before you show it to your 10-year-old. The English dubbed is expertly done. These are professional voice actors. I recognized some voices immediately and enjoyed this movie very much in English. (Of course, the original Japanese voices were done extremely well, too.) So if you like sci-fi anime, this is beautifully created with a pretty good storyline and excellent voice acting's in English and in Japanese – but like other movies/TV shows available on Netflix (from this studio), you may have to watch it more than once to understand the underlying story. (All of them are pretty much talkies.) Blu ray 1080p looks gorgeous. (However, on Netflix stream, it is HDR HD.) For the price I paid for, it is very reasonable and it will be prominently on my shelf for repeated viewings.

One of the best Sci-fi animation that I have seen last year, great story line, beautiful animation, it deserves to be in my anime collection.

Better than expected, once you start watching the story, it captures you and brings you in. You have to see the to the end. Will not disappoint.

Have loved looking for new Japanese anime films to watch!

First watched on Netflix, made it a insta-buy for me.

I like Blame, but by no means is this a great anime. The entire anime is all over the place and feels that you must read the original source material to have any understanding of the anime. If you are a fan of the Blame Mangas than definitely check it out. If you are unfamiliar with the Blame Mangas, I'd recommend watching on Netflix before purchasing.

Has alot of action. Great scifi feel to it. Loved the cgi. Looked really good. Audio was impressive to. Story was pretty good. I had to buy it for the price.

Pretty decent adaptation of the manga. I would have liked more but this has a pretty decent run time. Nice animation and I would say check it out!

I love anime it's the best in the store not online

First saw this on TV and it was a visual treat. Looks great on a 4k HDR TV!

An interesting anime that tells the story of what may happen when we let technology get too far ahead of us. Probably not an instant rewatch but still a fun one regardless

Typical Japanese animation. Show does hold your interest, because of a decent storyline.
