This is the new upgraded Evercade EXP. This is a handheld like the original. This has upgrades across the board. Better screen, better video Output, more power etc. The 3 Evercade systems are: The Original, The VS, (not a handheld is great for multiplayer) and this newest addition. All cartridge based games, (with the exception of this newest one, it has many built in games). Just Get one, they are fun.

This is a much improved version of the original Evercade, and also plays games that previously only the console-plug-in version (the Evercade VS) could run, so its the best of all worlds. Main perks also include some preloaded Capcom games, including some actual "big name" ones like Mega Man, and the enclosed irem cartridge includes one of my all time favorites from the eighties: Moon Patrol. The real advantage of this system is its ability to connect through wifi smoothly, as it opens up a lot of future possibilities and makes patches and updates much easier. The compatibility with all other Evercade cartridges is a plus, and there are even hidden games on this, which my son has already found a few of (thank to Youtube, I think). This isn't necessarily a portable timesink in the way a Switch or Steam Deck can be, the Evercade is focused on a generation of games meant to be played in spurts, or with a handful of quarters in an arcade, except now you can do it on the go and with infinte quarters. There are games on this thing I've finally played to the end without breaking the bank, after forty plus years of never managing to get far in the arcades before I ran out of change, so well worth it for the nostalgia factor as well as appreciation for the idea of games as an art form.

Nice handheld. Limited game selection but growing. Hopefully more studios will sign on.

The game system was a piece of junk. The up button quit working after a couple of minutes.

This retro handheld is really interesting. It's great to be able to play the system length wise to play select games vertically as intended. It completely changed the experience.
