Great cameras—but the AI thinks I'm a child
DOUGLAS Posted
Very happy with these cameras. Setup was easy, and the 2K video is sharp; night vision is good, and the motion/person detection has been reliable—though I have had to adjust the sensitivity settings to keep notifications down. The wireless design makes placement easy, too. My only complaint is with the AI’s judgment. One day I got out of my truck to grab a bag from the rear, and the camera identified me as a child. I’m a grown man, so either the AI needs some work, or I’ve discovered the secret to aging in reverse! (which is apparently being 5'7" and weighing 170lbs) Overall, excellent cameras for the price. The app is easy to use, with good picture quality and plenty of useful features.

Motion perimeter is too sensitive
LUCASJ Posted
The cameras are decent, but the motion perimeter is too sensitive. When you adjust the sensitivity down to one, it still drains a lot of battery juice. But other than that the cams are nice. They're smart. They define if it's a dog, a cat, my fiance, my stepdaughter the mailman all the way to the Amazon guy. It sends an alert

I chose 3 cameras to go at each door to the outside of my house and the garage/alley area. I've not had them in that long. Occasionally I have time to see how to use them, so I'm learning as I go.

Easy setup! The video is crisp, I have 5 cameras, Batteries last good. Tried the solar panels, but not enough sun in the locations of the cameras for me. Would definitely recommend!

If you need easy to install cameras this will do the job. Batteries are expensive and theses suck the life out of them quickly.

Hello ALYSONW,
Thank you for your review of the Blink Outdoor 2K+ 3-Camera System! We're glad to hear the easy installation was a positive experience — that's definitely one of the things we designed these cameras to deliver.
We appreciate your honest feedback about battery life. We understand that replacing batteries frequently can be both inconvenient and costly, and we want to help you get the most out of each set. Here are a few tips that can help extend your battery life:
Adjust motion sensitivity: Lowering the motion sensitivity in the Blink app can reduce unnecessary recordings triggered by things like passing cars, animals, or tree branches, which can drain batteries quickly.
Set activity zones: Use the Activity Zone feature to focus detection on specific areas that matter most, like your front door or driveway, rather than the entire field of view.
Reduce clip length: Shortening the recording clip length in your camera settings means less processing time per event, which conserves battery.
Optimize retrigger time: Increasing the retrigger time between recordings gives the camera a longer rest between activations.
Use the Sync Module: If you haven't already, pairing your cameras with a Sync Module can help manage power more efficiently.
These adjustments can make a noticeable difference in how long your batteries last between changes. If you'd like more personalized guidance on optimizing your settings, feel free to reach out to us at 1-888-280-4331 — we're happy to help!
Thank you again for choosing Blink for your home security.

Not great with 5G Network
AKarim Posted
Had connectivity issues. Doesn’t work great with 5G network. After speaking to customer I’ve had to return them. Subscription plan is great. Only charges one subscription fee for multiple locations.

Hello AKarim! Thank you for your feedback on the Blink Outdoor 2K+ Wireless Smart Security Camera — we're truly sorry to hear about the connectivity issues you experienced, and we completely understand how frustrating it can be when a security camera doesn't perform as expected. It's worth noting that Blink cameras operate on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only and are not compatible with 5 GHz networks, so if your router is set to broadcast only on 5 GHz, the cameras will have difficulty connecting. To resolve this, ensure your router has a 2.4 GHz band enabled and connect your Blink devices to that network specifically — many routers allow you to create separate network names (SSIDs) for each band to make this easier. We appreciate your kind words about the subscription plan, and we're sorry the connectivity experience didn't match the value you found there. Thank you for your feedback!
