The motion detection is incredibly unreliable, often missing obvious activity or triggering for no apparent reason, leading to a flood of useless notifications. The video quality is subpar, especially at night, making it difficult to clearly identify visitors. Furthermore, the battery life is far shorter than advertised, requiring frequent recharges that defeat the purpose of a wireless doorbell. Save your money and look for a more reliable option.

The instructions for set up were less than helpful. I ended up calling tech support to get the doorbell set up correctly. The "two-year" battery life advertised lasted less than a month. We put new batteries in it a few weeks ago and the batteries are low once again, At this rate, it will be cheaper to replace the doorbell with another brand than to keep replacing batteries.

Regarding the battery life, I'm concerned to hear that your batteries are draining in less than a month when the doorbell is designed to last up to two years. This rapid battery drain is not normal and suggests there may be an issue with your specific unit or its settings. Several factors can impact battery life, including:
High motion detection sensitivity or frequency of recordings
Poor Wi-Fi signal strength causing the doorbell to work harder to maintain connection
Extreme temperature conditions
A potential defect with the unit itself
I'd strongly encourage you to reach out to Blink's customer support at 1-888-280-4331 or through the Blink app. They can review your doorbell's activity logs, check your settings, and determine if there's a defect that warrants a replacement unit under warranty. Given how quickly your batteries are draining, this really does sound like it could be a defective unit rather than normal operation.
