The Blink XT2 Cameras are not worth the money. The brackets that are designed for this camera system are horrible. The company needs to have a more secure mounting that attaches the cameras to the bracket. The day vision is clear but the night vision is horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone.

These cameras have done nothing but break since I got them. I keep getting told firmware and IR issues whatever that means. The batteries died in a day this is crazy. Going to see about a refund and to check out ADT this weekend!

Pros Price was excellent because of sale. Super, super easy setup and installation. Not even kidding. Wireless. Free clip storage online. Good quality video with microphone and speaker. Cameras look fairly durable and weather proof. Good so far. Can expand the system by buying more cameras. Cons Does not continuously record. Not a DVR kind of system. Kind of finicky about what it decides it needs to record. Misses some events because of a delay in recording. Sometimes. Uses batteries that will eventually need replacing. Overall a decent system. However, I would not purchase these at full price. Wait for a sale. This is more of a security system than a video monitoring system. If it doesn't capture the event in the first place, then it's gone forever. You can't go back and search footage to find what you're looking for. This is the main disadvantage of this system for me. Given that it is kind of spotty about what it actually records anyway, there's always the risk of missing it. But if the price is right, it's a lot better than nothing.

Waste of money. It always goes offline and stops working. Sick of it.

If you are looking for a SECURITY SYSTEM, this is NOT what you are looking for. IF you are looking for something to use to MONITOR what is going on, than this is for you! I too wanted to use this as a security system but not for that price point. Buy a hardwire system. PROS: 1) Easy setup. Either read from the small pamphlet given or do as I did. Download app and it will direct you to do EVERYTHING step by step. 2) Its wireless so set up was a breeze. Screw the mounts of where you want the cameras and.....WALA! 3) Clear picture quality whether night or day. 4) 2 way conversations at the "push of a button" 5) Audio is clearer than expected. 6) Alot of features you can tweek to suit your needs. 7) Fairly cheap compared to other monitoring systems. 8) Free CLOUD. No monthly fees CONS: 1) Wish I could [LOCK] my settings. I have multiple phones to observe the system at any time. 2) Does not record very long. Only 60 second intervals. 3) Only saves 7200 seconds or 120 minutes or 2 hours at a time. 4) You can record only 5-60 second clips 5) You wont get IMMEDIATE notification alerts when cameras are triggered. 6) NOTIFICATIONS are received 20-30 seconds after camera(s) being triggered. Final words: Only had it for "24hrs" but will update when there are anything that changes. My cameras were going off alot at night. I had to GRAY out areas that tripped them IE: moving car lights reflected off car doors. So far (at night) the cars passing have not tripped them so no more unnecessary recordings. So far so good.

I'm my opinion, this is one of the better completely wire free camera systems. The quality of the picture is very good, the microphones are clear, and the speakers are also clear. If you turn the volume up to high, they distort, so the people you are trying to communicate with might not hear you clearly. The night vision is also surprising good. There are however some draw backs, there is absolutely no way, you will get 2 years of use from the batteries. With the medium use, I use them, they will probably only last about 3 months. Still not terrible. You can change the active field of view, to help lower the false motion triggers, as i had to. This will extend the battery life. The setup was, for the most part, very simple. I would definitely recommend if you are in the market for a fully wireless security camera system, that is not going to break the bank.

These are decent cameras with an OK set of features. It all depends on what you are looking for. Unfortunately, these don't really meet my needs for a camera system. On the plus side they are compact, seem to be well built and were pretty easy to setup. Being a battery operated camera, I should have realized that I would not get a continuous video feed like my wired Nest doorbell. So that's not really a point against Blink, just my application. I tried setting up motion detection, but my application was to fast of motion for the camera to detect it. These would be great if you want to be able to spot check a remote location. You do get some storage in the Blink account so you can save motion activated clips there. Again, these are decent overall, just be sure they fit your intended application!

Hands down, there is NO BETTER self monitoring system on the market. These cameras are super easy to install, very clear picture and sound, and best of all...NO MONTHLY FEES!!!! I have had these cameras for almost a month and they have been through rainstorms and high winds, but have never stopped functioning. They were extremely easy to install and with them being wireless, you can place them just about anywhere. My entire property line surrounding my house is visible through just 4 cameras, and they catch everything. Settings on these cameras can be adjusted however you like them to be set. Sensitive to motion, or not. Night vision is great! I will buy some more if I ever feel the need. We also installed them in the house which is great to check in on pets.

Great battery life and picture is good. Awesome that they are completely wire-free and can be used indoor/outdoor but I just wish that it was easier to watch them live. You can watch live, however, every 15 seconds it asks if you're still there and then if you don't respond it will close automatically. I realize this is to save the battery longer as live views consume a lot of battery but still wish it would be more of an option. Other than that great product and easy to see the motion-recorded clips and delete etc. through the app

The install was very easy. Download the app and and start adding devices with the QR code on module and cameras. Takes maybe a minute or 2 to update firmware and connect. I have about 1200 sqft down stairs and 500 upstairs home so I put the sync module in the middle of the home (right beside the wifi router). Started hanging cameras and getting them angled just right for the areas I wanted to keep an eye on, then armed the unit. It was picking up things great, the garage apron even picked up a spider building a web over night. Week goes by and my cameras stop picking up as much which I thought was odd. Then another week goes by and the garage apron camera doesn't even pick up my wife leaving. Seen that my wifi strength was getting weaker to the camera for some reason and nothing has changed from the original install. Cellphone still picked up the signal just fine where the camera was positioned. So I went out and got a wifi extender, boosting the signal back up and it started working like the day I installed the system. The picture is clear, night vision is pretty decent as well. The motion sense needs a big change. Mine is only picking up motion that is going across the camera at about 10 feet, which id like to have it pick up further out. If you approach the camera in a straight line you can get within 5 feet before detection. I like the easy and concept of the blink system, but still needs tweaks.

Camera works good, easy to connect, mount etc. Still trying different mounting locations as camera sometimes takes video at night with absolutely no motion. Two year batteries lasted about a month because of this. Also snow forces me to turn it off. All in all I'm happy with it, just wish I knew what all these ghost videos are caused by. Night vision works good, lets me see cars, driveway, probably 50 feet or so, not very clear though. Daytime is great, really clear videos.

This is the 4th XT2 camera I've ordered, so that tells you right there what I think about it. 2 of those were given to my son for a Xmas present. He liked them so much, he bought his own 3rd XT2. All used outdoors. Easy to install on the 1st attempt. Video quality at daytime is very good. Night vision is OK, which is pretty standard for all security cameras. App is is easy to use and fairly intuitive. Free storage is awesome. You can select options to record videos as long as 60 seconds, which covers most motion activities. Lots of other options in the app, such as sensitivity, activity zones, and more. Not many free storage cameras offer activity zones. It's a basic activity zone function with you selecting which tiles you don't want motion detection in on a 25 tile board. Not as flexible as others that allow you to draw your own zones, but but it does the job. Live view is an option. The sync module does not have to be attached to the router by cable, so you can place it in a user friendly location. Includes Energizer batteries, not some cheap inport brand, so thumbs up right there. Battery life seems still strong after a month. This comes with an included wall mount bracket that I've used on my exterior installs. While I haven't used this for interior use, it is limited by the fact that you cannot aim the lens up or down, which makes it difficult to use on shelf. Too bad that they do not offer or include an adjustable bracket that would allow this you to point the lens up or down, while sitting on a shelf. Using the included mounting bracket to mount the camera to a wall would overcome this. I've tried Ring and Arlo, and were disappointed in cost of storage (Ring) or poor motion detection (Arlo). The XT2 is better than either in both categories. Very happy with this purchase.

I was surprised on the quality of these cameras for the price point and being battery operated. At default it's set at 720p ...you need to change the picture quality to enhanced to get the full 1080p Full HD. I Feel like for the price these cameras are great...there are some things missing but you get what you pay for...go buy the more pricey cameras for that. I love the activity zones on this camera because there is an advanced feature which lets you go deeper into 1 activity zone and cover a certain amount rather than having to cover 1 full zone box. Something I have not seen in other cameras. The motion detection is great but not perfect....With other cameras like the Arlo Pro 2 you can set the camera to detect whatever you want like People, Animals, Cars, and other motions. The XT2 detects everything with no filter so this may be a problem for some but not all. The picture quality is great in the day and I was impressed with the night vision but its only clear for about 6 to 8 feet for night vision but past that it does get a little hazy but you can still see everything good..it is not bad like it sounds. To fix this problem I have the light on..on my front porch and my garage light is also on so I can see everything clear with the night vision turned off. The storage on this is good and free which it was I like...if you delete all your non important footage thenyou will be good to go with no problems. The default settings on the camera will help you get close to that 2 year battery life but depending on how much motion detection you are getting daily and how you adjust your settings like putting the picture quality to enhanced will affect your battery life. I feel like having the best settings will get you about 1 year to 1.5 years of battery life which when you think about its freaking great. not having to charge or change the batteries on a regular is great. I had the Arlo Pro 2 cameras and I was charging the batteries every 2 months...that was a pain....For the price that you are paying this is a great camera.

Decent quality camera. It works really well at night. I like the fact that it's wireless. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't record continuously. It only comes on when it detects motion. Also the motion detection is not as reliable from a distance. In order for it to recognize a person they have to be really close. It's also not a real time system unless your in live view mode...

We needed good cameras at an affordable cost and these were perfect. We do have a high usage rate for out front and back cameras due to having a dog and higher traffic, so battery will last a shorter time than stated. But good camera all around, good night vision, easy install, good live feed, can set your recording time, and the sensitivity of the motion capture.
