I like the fact it is wireless and easy to install. It is weather proof. The battery lasts a little over 6 months but under default settings for sensitivity and video clip length.

This is a good camera system if you do not need anything fancy and or sophisticated. They are very easy to install. Setup takes a few tries to find the sweet spot adjusting the Sensitivity, Clip lengths etc for a better result. (first I was not getting motion notifications even pulling my car from the drive way, then I was getting notifications on false alarms, but finally I got the the right setting.... The only Con I faced with this camera is 1 of the 2 is having lags because it is not getting good Wifi signal strength even though is 20ft apart from my router, but there are 2 block walls in between. I may try a Wifi extender later on.... Overall good purchase

The quality of the video is good both in the day and night. Best part of this camera is that it comes with cloud storage which you do not have to pay a monthly fee vs Ring. This is not a doorbell but it has motion sense. Troublesome part is to find the perfect setup of sensitivity and manual blind spots so that we can see packages delivered without getting the camera triggered by headlights from cars. Will change the stars to see how long the camera will last based on the batteries it provided (it says one full year but I highly doubt it, I hope I’m proven wrong)

Decent resolution and very easy to setup. Once you adjust to avoid too many false alerts (sensitivity) level it works well. My issue is there’s a good 5-7 second delay from when it’s triggered and when I’m notified so by the time I look or want to react, too late. The volume for the two way speaker is also too soft so I have to scream to be heard by the person by the door. A couple misses completely that I can’t explain - camera didn’t turn on. All that said, a cheap and easy way to see what’s going on at home and adding cameras to existing is easy... so it’s growing on me

The Blink XT2 cameras will still send notifications when a clip is successfully uploaded. Any lag is cause by slow speeds or weak signal from the WiFi connection. You do have the ability to adjust the volume within the camera settings in the APP however if you continue to have issues we would suggest reaching out to our Tech Support Team directly to troubleshoot, support.blinkforhome.com

Can't be secured, won't detect human activity

Note that the failure of these cameras to detect human activity might be due to the fact that, since they can't be secured outdoors, I am currently using them through windows. However, my main objection is that the actual camera body only snaps on to the bracket which can be secured with screws, which means they can easily be stolen. My second objection is that while they don't detect actual people walking up to my window, or cars driving in/out the driveway, or even the men who were running around in my front yard, even on the highest sensitivity setting, they DO get triggered every day by changing light. By that, I literally mean that when a cloud passes over the sun, so that the view goes from bright to shady and back within a few seconds, the motion sensors are triggered. Repeatedly. I've been trying different sensitivity settings for a couple weeks, and haven't yet found a sweet spot. That could totally be user error, and again, the window might be interfering with the motion detection, but I can't afford to leave them outside unsecured to find out. I have googled third party brackets, but none of them secure the actual body of the camera. I am considering using metal pipe clamps, because at least those would need to be unscrewed or cut (and hopefully trigger motion detection!?) That said, the camera quality is alright. The price isn't bad. They were easy to set up. My least favorite thing about them is that there is no desktop application from which to view the feeds, and you cannot stream them. After some research, I'm finding that not many outdoor cams do. Overall, I would not recommend these cameras for serious security use.

Laurie, We are sorry for any issues you may be having however, The Blink XT2 cameras can not reliably detect motion on the other side of glass. Some users have placed cameras facing out a window or through a glass door to use the Live View option. A Blink indoor or XT2 camera looking through glass will react to the near side of a pane of glass, so it will not be activated by motion beyond that to create clips when in the Armed state. If you are having any other issues with your Blink cameras we would suggest reaching out to our Tech Support Team directly to troubleshoot, support.blinkforhome.com

Been wanting cameras for outside my house. You never know who or what’s lurking around outside. These little things are a great value. Viewing radius is decent. Not sure how long the batteries will last. Only had them for a little over a month. But I doubt they’ll last 2 years like the box claims. But I’ve had days where the cameras will go off multiple times. The app does warn me, though, if there have been excessive alerts from certain cameras. And it even warns you that the batteries may not last the two years. All in all, a great buy. Way cheaper than the other camera systems. Not as many features as some other systems (i.e. no lights) but they are motion-activated with night vision, which is actually pretty good. Love em. Looking to get a couple more maybe.

I purchased this camera (08/28/2020), I set it up in maybe half hour, because I was playing around with all the settings and fun stuff. This camera is sooo easy to use and adjust. I have set it up in my living room, motion detection is a little odd, still playing with it. The size is perfect, the quality is up to expectations. Battery life of 2 years (2 - AA batteries included). The only downside is how 100% live is. It’s got a few seconds delay which is normal but it makes it really odd when setting up mic settings, adjusting the camera to a fraction of an inch. The app is a little odd to use but after playing for 10 minutes you can easily navigate. Will buy more of these, and possibly one for my wife and my car.

Easy enough to setup. Download the Blink app first. There is no monthly fee with this system. Owned for a month and no issues. The ability to talk through the camera you are live monitoring is great. Be careful where you setup outdoors. Leaves moving on a branch sets off the motion detection. You can set the sensitivity for the camera but best to clear cameras view of branches. Good camera for keeping an eye in and out of your home while away.

This system is good and easy to setup. It makes security accessible and affordable for everyone. I would have given the Blink system a 5 star rating, if not for the following reasons: 1- Sync module does not support 5 ghz wireless - the result is that I cannot leverage the wireless speed and range provided by my router. 2- Lots of initial adjustment of sensitivity and activity zones, unless your monitored area has little activity. 3- Even with adjustments, it picks movements outside the selected activity zones. This results in more alerts and would definitely impact battery life.

This was the right solution for me. No monitoring fees, no installation fees, audio capable, no wiring, remote access and more. When I caught the two camera system on sale I jumped on it. Front door and back patio covered. The patio detection was way too sensitive to start and the flapping BBQ grill cover would set it off but a tweak on the sensitivity setting and it was good. The audio is good and motion detection is awesome. The only improvement I can think of is a push button by the door to do a 5 minute disable so it wouldn’t record me taking out the trash. The free cloud storage has been more than sufficient for me. I have been using it for a few weeks and it has worked exactly as I had hoped it would.

I picked this 3 pack up when they were on sale for a really great price. I was looking at them before they came out but was hesitant to purchase them after reading early reviews. After the reviews improved, I went ahead and purchased them after considering Ring and Arlo cameras. They are a great value for the money. Installation was a breeze and the camera quality is great. My only complaint about them is the speaker is too low and the audio clips have too much noise and I don’t think my settings are off either. But I like not having to pay for a subscription and that I got 3 cameras for the price of one Arlo and Ring.

Initial un-boxing and setup was great. Installation was easier than the XT1 with the improved mounting brackets. Drilling into stucco is never too much fun, but these weren't too bad with the use of some stucco anchors (sold separately). Adding cameras using the QR codes is fantastic, and the complete wireless capability using the lithium batteries is really nice. 2 weeks in though is when all the issues began. I started noticing I was getting less and less notifications of motion detection. Then I would every now and then purposely try to set one off while taking out the trash, and yet I would have to sit there waving at it for a while before I would get anything. Finally two of the cameras just completely gave out. I was unable to view the live feed at all, just kept giving me error messages for not being able to connect. I started with all the basic troubleshooting, removing the batteries, trying a different set of batteries, restarting my router, testing WiFi connections at the perimeter of my house to ensure I have sufficient connection reach, etc. Then when I attempted to remove a camera and re-add that's where I really ran into the trouble. It would not reconnect no matter what I tried. Finally I gave up, and the app directed me to contact the customer support and technical assistance. Very frustrating! Definitely an outsourced call center working off of robotic scripts. The first guy I talked to walked me through dozens of troubleshooting steps, most of which I had already tried. Then he made me run some WiFi test app, and determined that because my router was setup with dual band (2.4 and 5 GHz channels) using the same name (that way all my devices connect seamlessly without having to run two different network names) that this was the cause of why my cameras, which have worked fine for 30 days, are now all of a sudden not working at all. This was certainly not it, but to prove my point I sat there and went through all the steps he requested, surprise: it still didn't fix it. After 45 minutes of an extremely frustrating phone call, he finally submitted to send me an exchange under a RA number. When I informed him that this was a 3-pack of cameras, he refused to send me another until we could verify the replacement worked. So guess what I did today, connected the replacement camera to my dual band network with the same name with no issues whatsoever, and then had to endure another 35 minute phone call with a different representative to get my 2nd camera ordered because she refused to listen to anything I said about the previous call. My recommendation to anyone considering, unless these are going to be used inside a home, or in a well-shaded area, I wouldn't recommend. I think the main issue I ran into was the Arizona heat beating down on these for days that they just could not endure on the perimeter of my home. Really hoping I don't have to put up with swapping them out under the manufacturer's warranty for the whole year, otherwise I'll end up just returning to Best Buy under my Geek Squad Protection plan. I'm holding out though because switching to a different camera company will probably cause me to have to drill even more holes into my stucco!

Pros: Installation is about as painless as it could be. The self-contained batteries eliminate the need for power wiring, so you can put these cameras just about anywhere you want to. It remains to be seen how big of an exaggeration the claimed two-year battery life is. The price was right. Cons: The cameras don't always work quite right. I get some oddly corrupted video recordings at time for no apparent reason. The range seems a bit limited, but that's to be expected. They've got to be pretty low-powered for the batteries to have a decent life. Overall: Pretty good setup for the price.

I’ll start with the good. These are super easy to set up and install, the app is pretty solid, and they do everything I want including live video and talking through the speaker. The value is incredible compared to the others I compared with this bundle. The only drawback I’ve experienced is that the sync module was randomly disconnecting from my network. However, I haven’t experienced that since I set it to run on a schedule (possibly in related). My next step was going to be to assign it A static up. Aside from that, it’s been tip top.
