Maybe a lesser known Wayne movie worth seeing!

Wayne shows just how his acting had advanced as he had to carry a lot of the dialogue. The movie is comedic, serious and action filled. You will especially like the supporting cast that includes some cute young actors.

Great storyline.

It's about Communist China and the tenacity of the Chinese people to get away from it. It is family friendly without sex or a lot of violence. However, it is an adult theme and probably not well suited for children under 10 or 12. Lauren Bacall is her typical beautiful self.

Well Done Cold War drama

The anti-communist bent of the Cold War is evident. the bonus features are limited but a nice touch. Watch John Wayne's "Crusade for Freedom" speech in the bonus features for a better appreciation of the films political message.
