This is the first of the revived Vestron Blu ray releases I've watched and I'm happy with the picure quality, bonus features and the film itself. It was originally conceived of as a sequel to the HGL camp classic Blood Feast and loosely adapts that film's plot. It injects it with tons of '80s slasher era kills and an over-the-top tone that make it generally enjoyable to watch. I do wish these titles were cheaper and I feel, even at the sale price of $18, are way overpriced. Compared to the Blu ray releases from, say Vinegar Syndrome, you get a lesser picture quality, lower quality packaging and higher sticker price. Still, it's a worthy addition to any cult, camp, horror or exploitation fan's library.

With this second release (the first being Chopping Mall), Vestron Video becomes a major player in boutique labels. They've gone the extra mile to give this little seen gem (covered in 1987 by Fangoria and forgotten since) its due. What we get is a basic unofficial remake of BLOOD FEAST, with the comedy amped up. The director is represented nicely in the extras, and it's quite obvious she took the task seriously, despite its comedic bent. Two brothers open a restaurant and serve human flesh to the foodies who "eat it up", egged on by their bodiless uncle's preserved talking brain. If that sounds like something you'd want to see, you should definitely check it out.

I think my favorite scene in this flick involves a bouncer at a night club being thrown into the street, getting his head smashed by a lowrider as it bounces by. Yes, this is the kind of movie Blood Diner is-- it just doesn't care. The lead actors are ridiculous, but I enjoyed them. I mean, they take marching orders from their deceased uncle's brain in a jar. There's lots of gore and nudity, unhinged over-the-top nonsense-- I couldn't help but kind of love this goofball of a movie. If this kind of thing floats your boat, why not treat yourself?

I've seen the film before and I thought it was kind of a confused horror/comedy where more things didn't work than were successful. I bought it because it was on sale and to complete my collection of vestron blurays. The film looks great and the special features commentary add a lot of explanation to some of the more confusing elements, the movie still doesn't work even with the reasoning behind those confusing elements but it's interesting to know.

Of the titles in the Vestron Video line, Blood Diner was the one I knew the least about, but it falls right in line with other horror comedies like Eating Raoul or Microwave Massacre. Quality wise, it falls somewhere between the two, but the movie and the supplemental package make it worth picking up for adventurous horror fans.

Another great release from the Vestron blu-ray series. As with most if not all of these Vestron releases, they are expensive and are for a limited group of people who like this kind of cheese. Fans buy with confidence & blind buyers should steer clear.

Similar to Chopping Mall, Blood Diner appears to be schlock... but is actually an unpredictable, incredibly entertaining horror film. Try it... you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Blood Diner is a great fun horror comedy! The features on these Vestron Video series is what makes these blurays well worth the money to buy them! Great transfers too!

Growing up watching horror movies have always been a passion of mine so when I discovered Blood Diner on DVD a few years back, it was definitely a lost treasure rediscovered... And the Blu Ray version is definitely well worth the price I paid. Passing this one up will definitely lead Uncle Anwar to scream at you, "You fools!" Get it now!!!

this is the funniest movie you never saw coming! i cannot recommend this movie enough to people who like far fetched crazy plots that surprise you with every scene! you will not be disappointed by this hidden gem of the 80s! my fave vhs is now an excellent BD thanks to the return of VESTRON HOME VIDEO!

Vestron does another great release like Chopping Mall heavy on cheese but fun. Love the added extras as well.

This movie was definitely a crazy fun watch. The video quality on the blu-ray was great and the special features were interesting as well. This new Vestron Video Collector series is worth looking at. The releases are of pretty high quality.

Though I don’t like Blood Diner as much as the other releases in this series Lionsgate is releasing under the Vestron Collectors Series. The special features are great and commentary made the film better for me personally.

It's a crazy horror comedy that I like more and more each time I see it.

This is a classic comedy/horror movie. It's full of laughs, and gore.
