Why is a film noir western? Most of the action scenes happen at night. All, but one occur under the moon. Hence, the films title. This was an early one for Robert Mitchum and despite the poor depiction of him on the cover; he is great in this. That Blu-ray art is taken from the original poster. It's just weird. Robert Wise directed this film and he did a terrific job. i am giving this a high rating because it earns that rating. Now Saddle Up Cowboy.

Older Robert Mitchum western, but very good. Picture and transfer are very good for a black and white film.

This film is a Western, but shot like a Noir. Robert Mitchum is excellent in this film.

Possibly the best Robert Mitchum western. Has a wonderful noir vibe to it. Great transfer.
