While many tote that this game is difficult (and it can be), the hurdles of difficulty in this game can be easily overcome by utilizing the great multiplayer making it an experience like no other. The depth of this game is spectacular: the gameplay, the story, the graphics--you name it, this game has it. Do yourself a favor and play this game. Simply amazing!

Of what I can get through the game has stunning visuals. There is a definite lovecraftian tone to this game which I dig. However the difficulty level is very very high. This wouldn't be so bad except for the lack 9 save points, long load times, and losing all your currency. Fans of dark souls will love it. Those who didn't like dark souls I'd stay clear

Graphics are great, the character/enemy design is beautiful, the world is amazing however it is difficult. I died 6 times at the beginning of the game, that is a trend in this game. Because of its difficulty I haven't finished the game yet, however I will continue playing it. The controls are little hard getting use to but I love the speed of action in this game. Fan of dark souls, or just like tough games, then get this game!

This game has an amazing story and great graphics, from what I can tell you of the 1st level which I cannot get past. This was my first game of the series that I have played and it is frustratingly difficult, should have tried the original dark soul games. I like a challenge BUT I do not like having to replay over and over again the EXACT same level. In short beautiful game to watch being played but unrelenting to play.

This is THE game to own with your PS4. The similarities to Dark Souls are obvious, but Bloodborne absolutely stands shoulder to shoulder with its predecessor on quality while being different enough to be fresh. The focus on equipment is greatly diminished, evidenced by the reduced weapon and armor quantity and the removal of a equipment load mechanic, but every single weapon in the game feels different, and has multiple configurations that can change its moveset drastically. The combat is a lot faster and focused on offense, to the point that shields are almost entirely removed from the game. This game is all about dodge and attack rather than sit back and wait for an opening. Honestly, if you have a PS4 and don't have this game, you are doing yourself a disservice. This game absolutely holds up to the Souls' games mantra: Tough, but fair. You WILL die in this game, but it will only make you want to do it better next time.

This game is extremely challenging and will take MANY hours to get good at while leveling up in order to get better weapons and destroy the bosses. All these years later I'm still addicted to this game. Highest recommendation!!!

This game is magnificent. It's very similar to the souls series but with different gameplay mechanics such as the ability to block is frowned upon. Weapons CAN be found in the wild and load times are not 40 seconds long maybe 20-25 seconds. Stuff that is missing that used to be in the souls game like blacksmiths and factions aren't really noticeable because this isn't souls it's a new franchise with different approaches. If everything was the same then I would have played this game already. The atmosphere does change it's all not just gothic architecture. These people complaining about all the things I've mentioned here either haven't played the game because they only have an xbox or didn't play long enough. The game is phenomenal. Anything less than an 8 is ridiculous and the zeroes are absurd because that means the game is unplayable which isn't the case.

My friend and I have been playing this game nonstop since we bought it several months ago. It is a great co-op game, and is definitely challenging! If you enjoy the Dark Souls series, you will most likely enjoy Bloodborne. The only difference between the two is that Dark Souls is played in a defensive manner, whereas Bloodborne is played in a more offensive manner. Don't be fooled - it is still just as difficult though!! The story, art, level design, and characters/bosses are SO well done. I'm not one that usually continues to play games after I beat them, but I keep coming back to it. There are dungeons in the game that are randomly generated so that the game continues even when the story is over. There are new weapons and armor you can find in them as well...as well as some new bosses that I won't spoil. Have fun raging though. Some of the dungeons have penalties to make it extra hard (50% less health, etc.). PS: if you get the platinum, Sony will email you a special theme for your PS4 ;) PSS: get the DLC too. There are amazing new weapons, levels, and bosses.

The game we have all been waiting for, and it does not disappoint in the slightest. Loading times can be a bit long but I did not mind as the game didn't force a 40 gig + install like most other titles. As far as gameplay, it is fluid and intense, with an atmosphere that will draw you in hour after hour. I am in love.

Did i mention thhis game is HARD? But boy is it worth it. I have never played any dark souls games but this caught my eye. The game has monsters that jump out at you. No matter your level anyone can kill you with 1-3 hits. Evade and strike all the way. Learn hitting patterns and combos. If you get frustrated over games easily this is not for you. But if you like long challenging games this is a hit. Visually stunning. This is one of my favorite games of all times. The story is kind of hard to figure out but the visuals and gameplay make up for it. This to me ranks up there with last of us... I love RPG games and first person shooters. This is a 3rd person Semi-open world RPG. The game is fairly linear so it is not hard to figure out what to do but with many side quests to explore if need be. My only complaint is that it can be really far between way points at times but the game smartly makes up for it by placing shortcuts throughout the map... You just have to find them and unlock doors or elevators... Awesome awesome awesome!!!

Challenging game that teaches the player to learn as they go. One must learn from their mistakes and adapt to overcome difficulties. This is not a game for those looking for a hack and slash, like the devil may cry series. You'll do horribly if you try to play it like that. Great mechanics and great atmosphere. If the game is too hard for you, there is co-op....if you really need it.

This game is incredible. While the Order was somewhat of a flop, this game is crazy awesome. I like better than Demon Souls, but its appoachable if never played any of their games as long as you are good with learning by death. You will die a lot! Great graphics, large world, suspenseful and mysterious story.

Bloodborne is a ruthless game. It's challenges are many and unforgiving. Death awaits around each new (and old) corner. Anxiety builds as death drops all gained experience points - the only currency to improve your durability and strength. Fear as you walk into an area, unaware of the hulking, savage beast that awaits. The beauty of the world of Yharnam and its massive gothic chapels ceaselessly watching over your quarrels. And the growing perseverence you amass as you repeatedly die, progress further and learn tricks to tackle each new monster, then die again. Bloodborne wants you to die in a world that's given up hope. Bloodborne hopes you're will breaks before you know how to play. Bloodborne is as masochistic as those who play it, because for all its brutality, it yearns to be slashed and crushed piece by piece.

Bloodbourne is a atmosperic masterpiece which will leave you breathless. This game is very challenging and not for the faint of heart. It will provide a very rich and rewarding experience to those who traverse the world of bloodbourne. Defiantly a GOTY contender and currently the best game on the ps4.

If you own a PS4 you should play this game. It is awesome and tough, but it is fair too. It's easy to get frustrated with it, but there is multiplayer so people can help you out. After a certain point everything clicks. The atmospheres and weapons are amazing, not for those with weak stomachs.

Ever dreamed about hunting your nightmares? Ever dreamed about a world that didn't need saving? Ever wanted to destroy demons in an eerie world? This game is for you. I have never touched a Dark Souls game. I've only ever watched Game Grumps play Bloodborne. When this game dropped in price, I decided to pick it up. It's quite a new genre in gaming for me. Pros: Fighting is smooth RPG elements are neat Overall experience is fun and challenging Cons: Hard as heck (aka challenging) Not for people with no patience Grinding This game is fun and tests your patience. You really need to grind and practice fighting, but in the end it's so rewarding. If you do not have patience, this game is not for you. This is not your fun and loving final fantasy with a good story and RPG elements. This game has RPG elements more and a really subtle story that exists. It's all about the gameplay and learning how to kick some demon butt! Good luck!

The game is really challenging like any Souls game but just like those it is rewarding. Good graphics, nice atmosphere. The only gripe is the long loading times. It makes dying the worst thing in the game since it takes close to a minute before it brings you back out. Great game otherwise.

New to PlayStation and this was a must-have on my list. I managed to find it for $15 which is an amazing price for any video game. The story and design appeal to me more than dark souls but offers the same challenging gameplay which is frustratingly fun.

Bloodborne is a a extremely hard but rewarding game that stays true to the souls series. The combat is fun, the enemies are terrifying, the world is very interesting to explore. The only thing I can say is bad are the loading between deaths and its so important since you die ALOT.

This game is the epitome of challenging. From software takes what they've learned from producing dark souls and makes play faster, but just as difficult. A variety of weapons are used against enemies that ALWAYS pose a threat. May the good blood guide you, good hunter!
