I love the atmosphere of the game it is however a difficult game so you will struggle some to begin with but overall a great game and you can get it now for 20-30 dollars so also a great price.

I always wanted to try a game from FROM SOFTWARE (Dark Souls or Demons Souls) and finally bought a PS4 to play to Bloodborne. It's not an easy game. You will die at the beginning, A LOT! But then, you become better, you learn to be careful and not too greedy, you learn how the ennemies move and attack, you win some precious levels and improve your stuff. The world is dark, creepy, bloody and raw, the graphics fantastic and the music immersive. When I play, I am tensed, amazed, frustrated and satisfied, making it one of the best game I ever played!

This is a very hard game (along the style of a Dark Souls game, if you are familiar), where it is expected that you will die, a lot, before you complete the game. This is a third person perspective game in which you kill lots of monsters and enemies, gathering loot, leveling up weapons and supplies...and dying. If you are the type of person who just wants to run in and kill things quickly, this game is not for you. If you like to temper your action with strategic thinking and timing, then you will most likely love it. One of the best games of the year!

If you're a fan of the Souls game then you would be happy to know that this game does not disappoint, however, if you're not familiar with the series it can take some getting used to. What I mean by that is the difficulty, the series is infamous for being hard. However once you get the flow of how this game works it is surprisingly addicting! I also have to praise the game's eerie atmosphere and creepy enemy design, it really makes you want to play with the lights on. If you're on the fence I'd say jump on it, you're in for quite an adventure.

Like other games in the Souls game franchise, but harder at the start. Definitely a big learning curve to get over, but very fun to play.

Lets get the obvious out, if you don't like hard games just skip it. No one will be mad. The thing that makes this game hard and scary is the fact of playing hours without a check point and one simple mistake can have you redoing everything all over again. There's something about this though, I'm only about 10 hrs in and about 50+ deaths and yet I long to play it. It's a weird feeling, but gratifying one. I think the over all graphics are good, but could have been polished a tad more since the environment is a dark and bleak one. If you're not into putting hours into a game and get frustrated quickly, just pass this up. You'll save yourself some money and stress.

This game might not carry the similar title to Dark Souls and Demon Souls, but its got the same punishing gameplay. I myself have never played those games (but I've watched) so this was my first attempt at the action RPG. I was very scared jumping in because I've heard the game was very difficult. It is hard, but not so hard that you can't find reward and value from learning the new secret into beating the boss. This game is a must have for any PS4 owner that enjoys a good action game with RPG elements. Just remember, you will die, A LOT!!!

If you've played a souls game before, this should seem pretty familiar. Although it is familiar, it is very different, which keeps it exciting. The important thing is that this game is true to the souls franchise (even though it's a new IP). I recommend that beginners learn the basics by watching playthroughs of early levels and stick with it. This is a game that requires skill and is not unfair. You will die a lot. If you die it means you approached the situation wrong. Learn enemy move sets as well as your own. Keep at it...and GIT GUD.

Look, I will start by saying that this game is not for everyone. I will also say that if you don't like dying in a video game, this is NOT for you. You will die. ALOT. OFTEN. The learning curve is difficult. It is Souls Like but different. It is different from Nioh. Battle is fast paced, settings are beautiful, monsters are different and strategy is important. After all of that, if you are interested, get this game because it sold 2 million plus copies for a reason.

Soulslike games are some of the best games that are made. Bloodborne is one of the best games that FromSoftware has ever released. Unfortunately it is stuck on the PS4 and is capped at 30fps. Although you can play it on the PS5, it is not enhanced in any way and will play just like on a PS4. I am not a pc gamer, but I do hope they finally remake this game, or at least port it to other platforms instead of it sitting on a now dead console. Regardless this is considered one of the best games of all time and for good reason!

Literally, stop reading this review and click that 'ADD TO CART' button I know, you're worried this game is too hard. It's not. I tried playing all 3 DARK SOULS games and couldn't beat those. But I can beat this game (twice actually). It's a lot more forgiving, and the atmosphere is incredible. There's still a pretty solid online community and people willing to cooperate if needed for getting through tough boss battles. But you'll feel so accomplished after beating this game.

The first time I played this game, I as blown away but it. The atmosphere, setting and gameplay are unmatched by any other game. Bosses and enemy's are hard, brutal at time, but that's what makes this game fantastic. I seriously can't recommend it enough, do yourself a favor and purchase it. This is the best reason to get a PS4. Don't pass it up (unless you hate battling large spiders and snakes...)

First let me say, prepare to die... A LOT. And then some more. I'm a fan for the Dark Souls/Demon Souls series and this game doesn't disappoint when it comes to the difficulty of the game. There's one small difference that I'm having a hard time as a player isn't very good at melee... NO SHIELDS. Yeah, get use to dying... a lot. The graphics and the game setting is dark, eerie, and very gory hence the Mature rating. Though I don't like this game as much as Dark/Demon, it's still a fun game that have me spewing plenty of profanity after my kids go to bed. Overall, I can't complain as I got this on ad for $25 which is a steal.

I both love and hate this game. It's amazingly beautiful. Gameplay is great. It is just ridiculously hard. Now, it's not IMPOSSIBLY hard, but you will have to put a lot of time into it. In my younger days, this game would've been a 10/10. My issue now is that as an adult with limited free time, I don't feel like spending 3 hours on a game just to beat one boss. I have too little time, but also, I also have other games that I'm interested in playing. If you have the extra income, even if you don't like these types of games, I would recommend experiencing it. But if you don't have the extra cash, I would just watch a stream of it.

Another great game from, well, From. Bloodborne is a great time. It will kick your butt and you'll thank it for doing so. Warning: If you're easily frustrated by difficult games, this is not the game for you. Bloodborne is not a sequel in the 'Souls' series, but it definitely feels like one. The combat is a bit faster paced, and you're rewarded for being aggressive. That's where the differences end though. You still collect "souls" (now called echoes), the same mechanics exist when you die, kill a boss, summon a player, etc. Anyone who enjoyed Demon's Souls, or the Dark Souls games should definitely give this game a go.

Bloodborne is tough as nails and has an awesome atmosphere and rewarding gameplay. Do not be afraid to consult some Wikis and Guides to help you get started. The number 1 rule, once you get going, is to not ever get too cocky. This game certainly is not for everyone. There is a lot of blood, some of the monsters are disgusting, and the difficulty can be frustrating. Liking this game doesn't make you a more "hardcore gamer" and disliking it doesn't mean you suck at games. But if you like "Victorian" England, and horror (werewolves, beasts, etc.) and third-person action games, you should have a great time with Bloodborne.

First of all, let me say that 50% of the fun that I had with this game was in the character creator alone. I messed with the "similar face" option, and got some amazing results. If you mash the similar face option dozens of times, you'll get some interesting stuff. The game itself presents a dark atmosphere and story line, coupled with challenging, yet fun, game play. There is no formal tutorial to speak of, which is actually refreshing these days. Go into this one expecting to die often.

First off the game is a challenge at first. You'll die it's hard to avoid but once you understand the games mechanics it really gets good. You'll get better with each death and a successful kill will be so much sweeter when you finally do best whatever terrible creature is giving you a hard time. The game is also gorgeous and with the exception of some frame rate drops it runs very smooth. The world is awesomely designed like the Souls games before it the level designs are some of the best around. Buy It!

This a beautiful game, both in visuals, sounds and atmosphere. It can also be very challenging at times which is a breath of very welcome fresh air. Do not buy if you are not willing to notch a few of your own deaths onto your belt, because die you will. Quite a bit. The feeling when you surpass one of those challenges though, pure euphoria. I am honestly addicted to this game and cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone that isn't afraid to try a game that will not pander or hold your hand.

Without rehashing the reviews, if you like a challenge and a meaty adventure that doesn't hold your hand...then this is your kind of game. If things get too hard, then use co-op to recruit a couple of hunters to help you out. Still stuck? Hit up the plentifiul resources online to help point you in the right direction on your hunt. The game is really atmospheric, and depending on how you level up/progress you'll see different enemies than other players in the same areas. Well done FROM Software, well done.
