Funny enough, dispite being exclusive for the Nintendo Switch edition of the game, the case itself can not actually hold a Switch cartridge, and the insert that came with it, falls out because of how it was cut to fit into the document side of the case (the other side holds a disc, and has a slot to hold an armature that would allow multiple discs)

Nice looking metal case, though the switch cartridge slot is an insert which is loose fitting. Recommend to those looking to get a disc copy and/ or are looking to just get the case, wouldn’t recommend for switch users

I got Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for Switch, and this came with it. As a PS4 or XBox One case, it's fine...it looks nice and holds the disc with no issues. However, the Switch "insert"...ugh. It's a plastic insert that does hold the card, but mine does not stay in the case if I move it slightly.

Love the design of the metallic case. This is actually better for the PS4 and Xbox One disc versions. The Nintendo Switch cartridge holder is just a separate plastic inlay, a sheet which doesn't even stay in place when you open it. For the collector, an absolute must. I don't think this was a well strategized incentive for the Nintendo Switch and would have been better for the other versions. The graphic here is inaccurate too. Please see the pictures for what you get. It loses one star for that, but I am an obsessive collector and fan of Bloodstained (and Backer!), so I will only use it for display and not to hold any of the Bloodstained games. :)

This steel case is gorgeous without a doubt. Unfortunately, there are some flaws with the design, especially in regards to the Switch cartridge holder. It literally falls right out of the case, due to the cutouts for the clamps. If it didn't have those cutouts, it could've slipped under the clamps to hold it down, but that would only solve half the issue. The other problem is that with how rigid the plastic Switch sheet is, it's very difficult to mount and remove the cartridge. And finally, the fact that this has a Blu-ray (or DVD, CD, whatever) disc slot really makes it confusing as to why it was only offered for preordering the Switch version. I had to buy a PS4 copy to play, and a Switch copy just to get the case. Plus, on top of all this, the Novobox case arrived crushed, from the smaller Switch case being pressed down into it during shipment, so I had to have another sent as replacement. Best Buy's customer service was very efficient however, and got the new case to me in just a few days, and the broken one is on its way back. Overall a nice preorder bonus, it was just too much of a hassle to get one. If there are leftover cases, hopefully Best Buy will just sell them off seperately.

Everyone else has pretty much already covered all there is to say about this case. The actual design is gorgeous. You can see the multiple layers used to imprint the art in the metal, and it's quite a sight in-person. Just never use it as an actual case for your Switch cartridge. While the plastic insert in mine doesn't seem to be as flimsy as other people's (it doesn't fall out every time I open the case), I still wouldn't risk putting the actual cartridge in this. If you bought the PS4/XBO version, you could store the disc in here just fine.

I've never been so excited to buy an EMPTY CASE in my life. It looks gorgeous and is great... assuming you didn't get the Switch version. Novobox makes Steelbooks for typically PS4/XBox so the inside of this is for a DISC. So if you have the PC/PS4/XBox version then you get a great case to complement an amazing game. For Switch owners... you get a crappy plastic insert. Yeah..... I don't know why this case was for Switch pre-orders... but hey? Great for everyone else?

Excellent bonus item to include with the game. Has a glossy finish, colors are vibrant and the way the art appears as one large piece when case is fully opened seems unique. Only comes as Blu-ray size/style case, but people buying for the Switch version get a plastic cartridge holder insert. Great if it's free, but $15 seperately seems a bit high.

Feels a bit cheap compared to other steel books I've come across. This is indeed a CD - holding case, and there is a plastic insert thrown inside that has a slot for your Switch cartridge. This said plastic insert isn't attached to anything so it is free to move about the inside of the steelbook and will fall right out when you open the steelbook.

This case is beautifully done. It has a glossy finish and the art is embossed very well onto it. It does show fingerprints like mad, so you will need to wipe it off if handled often. NOTE: This case is great if you have the PS4 or XB1 disc, but the insert they added to hold a Switch cartridge is complete junk. It is just a cheap piece of plastic that will fall out the first time you open it. Do not buy if you plan on using it for the Switch version!

The case is beautiful, but it is a metal case instead of a steelbook. It also doesn't really hold the switch copy of the game as it just has a loose and replaceable insert to put a switch game in which is cheap and terrible, considering it was only originally included with switch copies. With that said, still very nice.

I lime the cover art and the colors, it came free with the game purchase so I can't complain much. The only flaw is that the inside of the case is flimsy and looks loke cheap plastic. Other than that if you like collecting Steelbooks this would be a good addition to your collection, but it won't be your best.

The art and build of this steel case is really nice. The fact that it was only available to people who bought the Switch version makes no sense, since there was so little thought put into the design of this case for holding Switch cartridges. On the right side is a standard sturdy spot to hold a disc. On the left side, there is an insanely flimsy plastic insert with a spot to hold a Switch cart. For some reason, even though this insert could have been held in place by the instruction tabs, they deliberately cut the plastic to fit AROUND those tabs, causing there to be no support. As a result, this insert will fall out every time you open the case. Unless you plan to sell your Switch copy and buy an additional PS4/XB1 copy (which you probably should since the Switch version of this game is awful anyway) this steel case makes no sense.

This is a good free bonus with the purchase of the game, but it's definitely not great for Switch games. It's the size of a bluray case and to hold a Switch game it has a plastic insert inside the case. Again, it's a free bonus, but don't expect too much as a Switch owner. Otherwise it's great.

This came included with my purchase of Bloodstained for Switch. And as such it included the typical disc mount for PS4 and XBox One, but also a plastic insert for holding the Switch cartridge (very versatile). All around this case is great. The artwork is beautiful and even has portions that have the polished steel showing underneath to accentuate the art being shown.

A lot of people complain that the switch slot isn't great, but I never keep my games in the steelbook anyways. For me it's just a display piece and it looks fantastic. The holographic cover is so detailed and beautiful and has a nice gloss coat finish that will defend it from scratching (a problem I've had with many other steelbooks). Definitely a great collectors item.

Steelbooks are mostly for decoration or overall looks. This particular one is pretty impressive as it takes from the original cover art of the game. I usually don't put the physical games in these steel-books as I use them more as visual pieces. This is a limited piece so if you want to get your hands on one. You'd want to do so as soon as possible.

Outside is great and looks amazing but the spot where you put the switch game is just a plastic card that you insert. This is because it is the exact same steel book you get with the ps4 version of the game so it has the spot to put a disk built in.

This is one of the best looking steelbooks best buy has put out. If you have a chance to get it, it's totally worth it. If you bought the switch version it comes with a plastic addon piece that can hold a switch game. The plastic holder is really loose and falls out of the case easily. This steelbook was designed for disc based games.

The metal case looks really good, especially the inside but it looks like it was originally intended for the PS4 version. They did put a plastic slot for the switch cartridge but it’s not even attached to the case. Open with caution!!!!
