Great phone for a great price

This is my 3rd BLU phone, my family has turned BLU as well lol. My first was the Blu Studio 5.0, my second was the Blu Studio 5.5S, and now this phone Blu Life One XL. I have come to expect certain things from BLU, such as cheap prices and good quality phone, along with great design, colors, and dual sim slots. This phone does not disappoint. Nothing for 200 and the features that this has (comparable to galaxy s4/s5) can disappoint. It starts off great, super bright screen!!! You can see the vivid colors right away and its so bright that I literally have to keep it on the dimmest setting when indoors because it hurts. Screen has great sensitivity, which is a super plus! Pretty fast response for a phone that is only working with 1GB RAM, but again for 200 I am not a complainer. Camera is great...outside where theres good lighting. Once your inside and its a little dim even with the flash it is a bit hard to get a super clear picture, but if you know how to work it which you will after a while you will become a master at it. I would give only one downfall of the phone. It does come with Android KitKat 4.4.4 out of the box and it does say that it is upgradeable to Lollipop... but its not. And with BLU, they don't constantly update like other brands do so you are pretty much stuck with whatever version you have on your phone now. They do not continue support for them, so you will not be updating your phone anytime a new patch is available. They keep the costs down for us and themselves by not providing support. So if you are not a person that constantly needs updates and new android versions, then this will be fine for you. I had my Studio 5.5S running on JellyBean for 2 years and I honestly didnt care for nor need an update.

Excellent phone for the money. I had to get use to the size of the phone but I'm loving the big screen. Easy to use once you learn the functions. Good quality.

This came out as a new model from BLU, so I bought it. very impressed by the options and features plus the big screen. And I've been a really long time cell phone user. This android phone is one of the best with a great price. And the only cellphone that comes with its own screen protector and a protective case. All BLU cellphone models do come with it. Battery life is good. It is a truly spectacular andoid phone.

This phone came with a quality looking box. A better material box than most 500.00 phones. Ear buds, screen protector, USB wall charger, and instructions that few have ever read. The phone is seamless for the most part. The screen is great, the blacks are quite deep. The speak is loud enough for speaker phone. The camera is good, its not an LG g4, but the camera is good. Call quality is crisp and distinct, without being loud. Over all a huge value in the world of unlocked phones.

    Best Blu I've had

I've tried many Blu phones before. There always seemed to be an issue with an overly touchy screen, or lagging, bogging down. I thought I'd give it one last shot with this version, mostly because a Best Buy employee said the processor was good and made a big difference. He was right. I'm not having any of the issue I previously had with the Blu phones. I love this phone. I'd give it a 5 star, if I could transfer apps to the external SD card. That's my only regret. I'm hoping they'll allow somehow and update to lollipop.

Not so good, spend $100 more for Sony please...

I just bought one, and found a few problems. The reception is not as good as my older HTC phone, it dropped several calls repeatedly in my normal office zone - this was already a no-go on the first day. I had trouble hearing the speaker phone in the car, although it has a nice warm sound, not tinny, but was about 30% quieter at max volume. A BIG problem was the power button being right next to the Up/Down volume buttons, and the same shape and size - I kept hitting OFF on the power when I wanted to turn down the audio. Another bad thing: the camera hides the flash on/off/auto setting (which I use a lot) inside a menu and down the page, very hard to get to quickly. The camera was not that great, although 13MP. So.... I returned mine today and got the Sony C6 Experia for $100 more; it solved ALL these problems. It's really worth the difference and ALL the format and software problems are not on the Sony. I loved the dual-Sim option on the Blu, but it's not a daily issue, as these other things are...

Spanky, sure you can transfer the apps to the SD CARD, go to settings-apps-upper right corner (3 little dots) then preferred install location and u choose sd card or phone. I have no problems with the phone right now, no complains at all.

This phone was horrible it started having tech issues like 2 wks after I got it. I couldn't send any picture msgs. Every time I watched a video the screen would flash blue. There were just a lot of issues with this phone don't waste your money. The camera is supposed to be 13 megapixels but pictures didn't come out that great. This phone was very slow loading things.
