Blu has been around sine 2009. They are a small but growing company in Miami Florida. They rebrand phones over seas to make them their own and while some may not like that idea, their phones are very good quality. Come 2013 going into 2014 and we have Blu's first 1080p display phone with 2GB of ram. The phone's display is gorgeous and honestly for a $349 phone the display is as good as a Samsung or HTC phone. 2GB of ram is another first and a very welcomed one at that. 1.5gHz Mediatek quad core A-7 processor with PowerVR 544 graphics. Decent specs but not the beefiest. 13 MP camera which is a beast in low light settings, and a 5MP front facing camera. 32GB of storage standard, 4.0 Bluetooth, and GPS. No LTE only HSPA + 41 MBPS. AT&T where I am, I see 10-15 on HSPA+ which is very impressive. Build quality is top notch as well. Blu has their own UI over android 4.2.1 and you can not add widgets unless you download a launcher like Nova or Apex. So what is bad about this phone? Battery life is weak. 2000mAh battery for a 108-p display is kind of disappointing. You will need to charge this every night. And the battery is non removable. GPS........ Could NOT lock onto a satellite for over 10 mins. I could not use this as a GPS via Google Maps. I had two units and both had a GPS problem. That is a major draw back for a flag ship phone. If you Blu can fix this and they are saying 4.4 kitkat is coming before June 2014, that would be good, but for the time being, I did return this. Great phone for $349. Very sleek looking UI from Blu, and honestly a nice phone, but those two problem areas, need to be looked at immediately.
