Ok on price if found on sale Had to return, found more reasonable price one.

After a few weeks it was not working at all.I received refund ffom manufacturer.

Good quality but was a bit hard to set up as the owner's manual did not explain. However, when called the customer service number, service was great and easily provided directions

I received a malfunctioning unit that had hardware issues with USB, reliable mute issues, and affected the XLR functionality as well. Had to keep power cycling mic to return functionality. Ended up returning it and picking up newer yeti x pro since I need the USB functionality more at the moment. Also is not supported by Logitech P-Hub app, who owns Blue now I believe and is the official software integration. Obviously, Logitech/Blue is leaving these behind and would impact functionality outside XLR. Disappointing experience from Blue/Logitech. Seems like they are looking to turn these mics into planned obsoletion devices, which I don’t agree with.

Works great with garage band. Love the different recording modes and polar patterns.

Not sure if it was the one I got, but I had to take it back. My computer didn’t always recognize it and there was quite a bit of distortion in my recordings regardless of the gain levels. I am knowledgeable about sound equipment and I wasn’t satisfied. I returned it and bought the Samson G-Track Pro. Much better investment.

My experience with this product wasn’t great. I went through two. The 1st one was defective and wouldn’t record w/o distortion. The second was better, but the recordings sounded low quality and no where near the quality of my Samson G-Track Pro.

I've owned the Blue Yeti, and know quite well the quality of Blue microphones. When Blue introduced the Yeti Pro, with added XLR capability, I knew I had to have it. A warm, realistic sound is what I demand in a recording mic, and this mic has the versatility to handle anything I am able to throw at it. In fact, the mic has the ability to record at a clarity level that most of my equipment will never keep up with. If you have a noisy recording background, the Yeti Pro just may amplify that...be warned. But, the subtlety this mic is able to pick up is nothing short of amazing. Also, if build quality is of ANY importance, you will be hard-pressed to find better...and ABSOLUTELY not in this price point. One thing to note when going directly into USB...not sure if this is a glitch, or protective mechanism, but you will want to go into your mac or windows sound card setting and raise the db level of the mic, which comes preset from the factory with a crazy negative level...raise it up to 0 or 1 db (decibel)....it's VERY live. Otherwise you have to eat the mic to get your sound out. You will need phantom power if you expect to use the XLR connection, and the response level is outstanding going through the xlr jack. The Yeti Pro comes with a 5 pin Y adapter to 2 standard XLR adapters (because it is a stereo mic) . You will want longer XLR's to attach to a mixer. I am glad I upgraded, and couldn't possibly give this mic a higher recommendation! See for yourself.

Great mic but it lacks all of the support of their software, it’s crazy that their most expensive product is not compatible with all of the Blue Apps!

I have been using this product for over a year now and this mic has very good quality and I have no problems at all with it. I use this on a daily basics to made commentaries for my youtube gaming videos (I am an official youtube partner through TGN) I see other people saying in the cons of this product is the setup for usb. I don't know what the problem is, all you have to do is plug in the USB and download the drivers from bluemic. The base that comes with the mic is good for if you are wanting to travel, but if you are wanting to use it at only 1 location and that would be a desk setup it does get clunky having to be in front of your keyboard if you will be on a computer while using it. If this is the case for you I would also recommend getting a "Rode psa1 swivel mic boom arm" and possibly a "nady mpf 6 in pop filter". BB does not sell either of these products so I would recommend getting them off amazon. Also if you would like to save about $100 in trade for very little (not too noticeable) sound quality if you are just using this as a usb mic and not an xlr mic (better quality sound) then I would recommend the regular blue yeti.

broken after 5days usb not working, so i return it

The moment you take this mic out of the box it feels like you've purchased something of quality. It's solid, hefty, and just looks great. The downside is that the instructions (which have to be downloaded along with drivers) are a bit limited and confusing. First the instruction booklet says "plug in your USB cable and then download the appropriate driver." Later, it says, "first download the driver and double click the .exe file. Then plug in the USB cable." After that it says to choose "Yeti Pro Stereo Microphone" from the install list on your control panel. Unfortunately, that doesn't exist but a file called "XMOS XS1-L1" shows up. That is the file needed. Two more issues: the settings switch on the back of the mic is barely legible. It is very difficult to discern if you are in stereo, cardioid, omni- or bi-directional mode. And, there is no "off" button. Just mute or unplug it from the USB port. I do like the pro XLR cables that are included with the mic along with the USB cable. All in all, a solid performer and nice piece of equipment, but don't expect to bring it home and simply plug it into your USB port to make it work. It is NOT plug and play, but worth figuring out.
