The picture quality is amazing. This is why blu-ray exist... this is how nature photography is supposed to be viewed. The only way you can improve from here is to go 4K. This set is awesome, highly recommend if you like nature, the ocean and all that jazz.

LOVE This series. My kids love these so much. We watch a lot of documentaries at our house because I am a Biology teacher and this is a favorite. The images and video are amazing and so captivating. The narration is great also.

I love these movies that bring me to places that I would never be able to see! I like that I can watch them in bits and pieces. There is so much we don't know about the different species of life on this great planet! Awesome Creation!

This was a very interesting series to watch and I learned quite a bit from it. It's just cool to watch dolphins, whales, or whatever else catching fish and to see how they do it is pretty amazing.

Great to watch with friends, family or whoever. Educational, but not heavy handed. Superb photography and extremely well written!! You will not be disappointed.

I've been looking for this set for years, I finally found it. I was in to pick up blue planet 2 and this was on the shelf next to it. I think the whole store though I was nutts.

To see the angler fish outside of the small pictures shown in textbooks is truly a treat, but only a needle in the vast haystack of the sea that Blue Planet covers. From the open ocean to tidal pools, coral seas to the deepest darkest part of the ocean itself, the BBC takes the viewer on an almost magical journey through the ocean

I love oceanic shows. This one, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, is bar-none the nest one out there. Beautiful scenery, majestic creatures and just a fascinating look at a world we rarely see.

Entertaining and educational series and you cannot beat the cinematography on blu-ray. Amazing some of the shots that they got, highly recommend!

It wasn't meant to be as HD as the Planet Earth but it was worth it. I own both the DVD and blu-ray versions of this series and I am very glad I got the latter.

From the opening shot of the gray whales to the deepest recesses of the ocean, this series will take your breath away. A great way to shed the stresses of everyday life.

I've watched it on Discovery and on Netflix, but these discs have extra footage on making the shows. That's why I bought them and to keep my membership active.

If you have enjoyed the Planet Earth series then you will also enjoy this set. Gives some good and interesting documentaries of oceantic life.

This continues the Planet Earth series from the dry land into the oceans. They are fantastic with all of the great qualities you expect from the BBC.

Just started watching this series and loving it it already...I have watched Planet Earth and Life and this just adds to its knowledge of our planet.

I actually haven't watched this yet, but can't wait. Every BBC blu-ray I have seen/own is simply amazing. Picked it up on sale for $14.99

Incredible documentary that has great quality footage and will teach you a lot about many different parts of the ocean.

This is one of the best documentaries out there because it does a great job of providing you with information without boring you.
