This is a great film, a slow paced thriller. Watch till the end.

This movie is great. It follows the story of a homeless man named Dwight seeking vengeance for the death of his parents, after their killer is released from prison. After killing him in a restroom, his naivety leads his sister to be targeted by the killer's family members, who want revenge. But he isn't a coldblooded killer. He's weak, and he Along the way, there are some great reveals. This is a very suspenseful film, it has some great dialogue, and it is just a marvelous film. Macon Blair, who plays the lead, delivers an excellent performance. At the end, you can't help but pity him for what he's gotten into. If you're looking for an action film with a brain, great acting, and suspense, then you need to pick up Blue Ruin.

Surprisingly good movie that seems to be overlooked for whatever reason. Not many have seen this when asked about it. Thought it was entertaining and well done.

After I saw the movie Green Room which I thought was awesome I looked up what else the director made and this was his previous film. Movie was great and had me on the edge of my seat.

The best way to summarize the movie ( without revealing plot details) is that it's a revenge story. If you're in the mood for a character driven story, this one might be for you.

This is a nearly perfect thriller, filled with tension, dread, and unpredictable thrills and kills. Reminiscent of an early Coen effort.

This is a really intense and well made film that I saw after several recommendations from some friends. Macon Blair delivers a truly excellent performance and the pacing and tone of the film really make you care and builds tension well. Kept me engaged throughout and I really loved the human drama and pain emoted by Blair, he really has a gift for playing sympathetic characters.
