So Smooth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This a piano less quartet (although Ike switches to piano on a couple of songs and then back to sax). Grant Green's guitar is the perfect substitution for piano. This lp has maybe more ballads than the average hard bop record but this is where Ike's smooth playing excels. Imagine that instead of a smooth crooner you have Ike's beautiful sax. Highly recommended...put on late night with a glass of wine.
