I’ve been using a total of six Blueair purifiers in my 2300 sq ft home: three 211i Max units and three 311i Max units. The improvement in air quality, especially dust control, has been very noticeable. I placed the 211i Max units in larger open areas like the kitchen, office, and an upstairs loft with 10 ft ceilings. The 311i Max units are in each of the three bedrooms. I run them every day, mostly on Speed 2, and occasionally bump the 211i to Speed 3 in the kitchen during cooking. Even with all six running, the noise is minimal. Night mode on the bedroom units is practically silent, and power usage has had little to no impact on our utility bill. After a few weeks, I noticed a clear reduction in how much dust was settling on furniture, especially in the closed rooms. The app makes things easy by showing real-time PM2.5 levels (usually at zero now), letting me schedule runtimes, and giving filter status updates. The real benefit is the consistency. The air feels cleaner and it stays that way without much micromanagement. If you’re looking for a real solution to whole-home air quality, especially for dust, this setup has worked better than I expected. They’re not cheap, but they’ve been reliable, quiet, and effective.

This thing works great! We have two cats, one Maine coon and one domestic shorthair, both who shed a lot. The removable outer cover makes cleaning much easier! I love that I can throw it in the washing machine or I use a chomchom lint roller to get the dander and hair off the outside. The outer cover has extended the life of the filter, which is also awesome. I love the smart features, i can see all the information i need right from the app, and it connects to my alexa/smart home!

I love this purifier, its design is beautiful and the app for the phone allows you to control the unit remotely. I have notice less allergy attacks since purchasing.

Hi there its really highly recommended. Before I’m getting less sleep but after few days of using it my sleep patterns becomes longer and cigarette smell also from neighbour was removed because of the good quality purifier air with smoke filter. Experience clean air and fresh smell. Those who have asthma and have breathing problems you should get one to experience the difference.

This filter is an absolute BEAST. Run it in automatic mode, its quiet even when it runs on full blast and it dramatically changed my daily health as well as 2 of my roommates with severe allergies. This thing should be covered by health insurance, thats just how effective it is.

The Blue Air Purifier is easy to set up and very quiet when in use. You do not notice it in the room. It appears to be effective cleaning the air. It came recommended to me and I also recommend Blue Air.

We have cats and dogs in my daughter is very allergic. After running this filter for a few days, it greatly improved her allergies. Very happy with this purchase.

I have brought this thing with me through a move to a new house and it was the first thing I unpacked, if that tells you anything. I have big issues with dust and allergens, and this takes care of all that. I like that it has a carbon filter as well to help with smells. It runs as quiet or as loud as you need it to, has an indicator light, and (while I haven’t used it much) a useful and informative app. No more sneezing for me!

Replaced an older unit that I had. Does a great job on auto, cleaning the air fast. Quiet and the option to change your settings via the app on your phone is even more convenient.

Great purchase. The app displays the air pollution inside vs outside and even has a filter replacement tracker which the previous model did not.

Excellent air purifier works excellent in my living room

The Blueair brand of air purifiers were new to me, so I did not have any special expectations. I decided to go with the Blue Pure 311i model since it was the best size for a medium-sized room. I was pleasantly surprised when I unboxed the product because it was much bigger than I thought it would be and looked classy with the grey colored fabric that surrounded the filter. I also liked how the top of the unit had a central area for all the controls for manual use along with all the lights to alert you to the different settings that are available. It was easy to set up the filter and after downloading the Blueair application on my smartphone I was impressed with the various features and controls that it added. I liked that it would show you the air quality outside of your home based upon allowing the location service enabled and then it would also monitor the air quality inside the room where it is used. I initially set it up right next to my bed because of the severe allergies that I have, and I was looking forward to having extra relief that I expected from the HEPA filter. I was impressed with the ability to setup schedules of when it could run, adjust a night mode for it to reduce the brightness of the control lights on top of the unit, and to turn the unit off or increase/decrease the fan speed. After setting up the unit and researching the expected length of time before you needed to replace the interior filter and found out that it could last up to 9 months but that the app keeps track of when you need to replace it. The Blueair app also has voice control assistance via Alexa or Google Assistant activation. It also has a feature called Welcome Home that you enable to turn off the machine when you leave home, and it will turn it back on when you are getting close to your home. The application features are an excellent way to get the best use of your air filter with the latest technology. Blueair air purifiers also have the Energy Star certification for low electricity use, so you do not have to worry about leaving it on for too many hours. I have enjoyed the change of the air quality in the two rooms that I move the air filter to depending on if I am working or sleeping and it has made a difference in my allergies already. I will be looking for more Blueair products for the rest of my home now that I have tried out the brand and am pleased with the high-quality work.

This is what I imagined an air purifier should be in 2023. It comes with an easy-to-use app, it's quiet, and above all, it filters the air your breathing everyday. This unit has a soft outer layer and is easy to pickup and move around the house if necessary. Controls are very simple to understand and operate. You can download the app for iphone or android. There's a quick install, pairing up with your phone and your wifi network. You plug it in, and it starts to do it's job. If you would rather hit buttons manually, they are on top of the unit and are fairly easy to understand and control. The first thing you see once you have the app running is a graph with a rating from very polluted to excellent air quality. Then you have a fan speed from 0 to 3. You begin to hear the fan at 3 but it's very tolerable even on high. You can put a child lock, run it in night mode, or set it to auto filter the air as necessary. Night mode turns down the LEDs and the fans while you're trying to sleep. You can also see a filter rating so that you know when to replace. LED's can be adjusted here as well if you want to turn them down or off. At the bottom of the page is a schedule where you can change air purifier settings based on your own hours and days. I've set my setting for an 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday while I'm at work. I was surprised at how quiet this unit is. It's nice for a soft white noise at night. I typically don't turn the fan higher than 2 because the air quality is usually excellent in my apartment. This unit can purify almost my entire apartment in 30 minutes. I have approximately 1100 square feet. Filters are also suprisingly affordable for this unit. The only time that I've need this purifier to work right away it passed the test brilliantly. It was after we burned our food on the kitchen stove this past week. Within about 15 minutes the burned smell was completely gone. I didn't even realize the air purifier was doing it's work. I would recommend putting this unit in a large area or a room connected to the kitchen because it can filter out air and strong smells quickly. It's also nice for the peace of mind that pollens, pollutants and dust are removed from the air that I'm breathing in my home. I highly recommend this unit if you're considering an air purifier. It's simple to operate, it works perfectly, it's quiet, and it looks good in any room due to it's light color and rounded edges. An added plus is there's an extensive amount of literature and support on their website.

I absolutely love this air purifier, and have to say it is one of the most effective purifiers I have used! The purifier is the perfect size to put in the corner of any room, with a neutral, simple look that is stylish and fits any room you may put it in. The controls are extremely simple, with a power button and a filtering-level adjustment button to cycle through the 6 filtering modes. You can connect the purifier to your phone too via the Blueair app and wifi for more advanced controls and visualizations of the air quality in your home, a neat and useful touch! This air purifier is extremely strong as well, definitely enough to allow the purified air to circulate a medium sized room in a home or bedroom with ease (the highest mode honestly could double as a fan for a room)! It should be noted that while this product is advertised as HEPASilent (which as a sidenote, the noise output from this purifier is very low, and almost all settings are silent as advertised except higher settings with standard ambient air blowing noise!), it is not indicated that it is an actual HEPA air purifier, but, I have dust and pet allergies, and with a cat present in my home and dust circulating at times (ie. with hvac running), running this air purifier 24/7 in common spaces in my home seemed to improve my indoor allergies, which, while I am no scientist and can't make any scientific efficacy claims with certainty, I happily observe while running the purifier! Overall, this air purifier is a great and very helpful addition to any home, and has greatly improved the quality of air in my home!

Before agreeing to use and review this Pure 311i I have purchased several other Blueair air purifiers and find the brand to be the best: I like the Scandinavian minimalist design with different coordinating fabric prefilters. They run quiet with a simple color-coded visual of air quality. I have the 411 in both my kids and my own bed room and I feel like we all breath better having these run silently while we sleep. The 311i is a larger model, the largest from Blueair I've tried: and is great for my 24 x 20 ft living room, while its size means that it isn't invisible, I feel like I can put it in a corner next to the sofa and it gets good airflow without being obtrusive. Like I expected: it runs quiet and I've enjoyed the color coded notifications of my indoor air quality. I also like that this one now comes with a mobile app: professionally I'm a product manager and I'm obsessed with analytics, so it's great to be able to get historical context around when my indoor air quality caused the 311i to run harder and how that indoor air quality related to the outdoor air quality at my house. I found it pretty straightforward to setup the app, easier than setting up some other IoT devices like lightbulbs or thermostats. I was hoping that the air purifier was compatible with the Matter smart device standard so that I could add it to my other Smart Home suite of devices but given that the app and air purifier are both nice I'm happy with them in their stand alone format.
