Customers consistently note the excellent cleaning performance, particularly how well the mop reaches edges, and praise its ease of setup, relatively quiet operation, and strong suction power. Many also appreciate the comprehensive accessories included and the convenient auto-emptying feature. However, some users found the app functionality tricky initially, and there are concerns regarding its object avoidance capabilities and navigation issues over time.

The bObsweep Maxim is a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable robot vacuum that balances performance, convenience, and value. Right out of the box, setup is straightforward, making it easy even for first-time robot vacuum users. In terms of cleaning power, the Maxim does a great job picking up dirt, dust, and pet hair from both hard floors and low-pile carpets. Its strong suction and wide brushes help it cover more surface area efficiently. While it may not match the highest-end models, it definitely holds its own for everyday cleaning needs. One of its standout features is the built-in UV sterilization light, which adds an extra layer of cleanliness—especially useful for homes with pets or allergies. The large dustbin also means fewer trips to empty it, which is a nice convenience. Navigation is decent, though not the smartest on the market. It uses sensors to avoid obstacles and stairs, but it can occasionally bump into furniture or miss tight corners. Still, for its price range, the performance is respectable. Battery life is another strong point, allowing it to clean medium to large areas on a single charge. It automatically returns to its charging dock when needed, which adds to the hands-off experience. Overall, the bObsweep Maxim is a dependable robot vacuum that offers good cleaning performance and useful features at a reasonable price. It’s a great option for anyone who wants to keep their floors tidy without spending a fortune.

Pros: Easy to setup. Easy to schedule. Easy to fill and empty water reservoirs When running it’s relatively quiet - My 2 dogs and 3 cats do not care about it at all but they do like to follow it around. Cons: Object detection does not include cords. Or dog toys that have ropes Super minor when refilling the clean water the condensation runs off the inside of the lid and down the outside of the unit. I just wipe it off after filling. The crown (libar) will sometimes get stuck on the underside of my counters. The vacuum clean out is heckin’ loud. So schedule it when you’re not sleeping. When creating no go zones it’s significant. I wish I could make the area smaller. I run the vac and mop every night. It completes its task 5 out of 7 nights. The other times it either eats a missed toy with a rope or gets stuck under the counter. It’s not bad but it’s not awful. It’s also pretty big there’s no hiding it - does not bother me but my husband doesn’t like looking at it.

This machine has been great to have. It cleans better than our other robot vacuum. It is quiet and easy to use. The machine did have trouble finding the docking station initially but it’s doing better now. The no sweep no mop zones on the map needs to be set for smaller areas but it’s a good machine

My first impressions are that this is one impressive robot! It cleans better than any of my previous bots and it’s super easy to use. I do wish there was a text description under most of the buttons in the app, so it’s a little easier to figure out, and that the app had a simple way to choose only vacuuming or vacuum and mop. Other than that I love it!

This product is amazing!! The floors always end up looking brand new and gets into every nook and cranny. The base station is the ultimate all in one station. Cleans empty’s refills you name it. Don’t doubt yourself when deciding to buy this product. The app is really easy to use and has a lot of features. Set up was really easy especially with the manual and the large laminated instruction sheet. Comes with lots of extra parts to extend usage. Life has been so much better since our family bought this product.

I wanted to give this a serious try when people appreciated its cleaning abilities. The vacuum and mop features are good i.e., picks up most of the things and mops very well. Where it falls short is at its object avoidance system, it's terrible. We recently moved into new home and with no things around it worked flawlessly. After we settled in it started to struggle, picking up socks (gets stuck), cables toys and even bruising itself by running into baseboards. I will end up returning this bObsweep only because of object avoidance issue.

In love with this product! I usually do not leave reviews, but this one deserves one! If you’re skeptical about buying this mop, don’t even think twice. This has a rotating dual mop on the back, which actually cleans the floor and not just drags a microfiber rag and runs through it. It also selfs empties, washes the mop and dries itself. the only thing you need to for maintenance is, refill the clean water tank and empty the dirty water tank. The plus side is that it actually uses a cleaning solution so clean the floor and mop, leaving your floors clean and smelling fresh! Best purchase ive made this year, hands down. My floors never looked clean. If this post sounds like im trying to sell you the mop, well, its the best Deal of the Day purchase on Best Buy!!

Our first bObsweep Maxim arrived damaged. The detergent container on the base station was cracked and leaked, and the bot itself would not map or clean more than a few square inches. We returned the defective unit and ordered a second. It quite honestly exceeded all expectations. It mapped a somewhat complex floor plan with several different surfaces very accurately. It both sweeps and mops very systematically and thoroughly. The app experience is significantly improved and the unit far outperforms our older Pethair Vision Plus (which we were quite happy with, as well).

A Game-Changer for Effortless Clean Floors

I recently got a robotic vacuum with a mop, and honestly it’s exceeded all my expectations. It vacuums and mops at the same time, leaving my floors cleaner than any robot I’ve owned before. The app is super intuitive, and I love being able to set no-go zones so it avoids certain areas. It even detects rugs automatically and skips mopping them, which is a huge plus. Maintenance is minimal. I just change the water once over the weekend, and that’s pretty much it. The built-in camera does a great job avoiding cables and obstacles, which feels like a big upgrade from older models. Also, I have a cat (<3), and not only he is totally fine with it, but there’s basically no pet hair left around anymore since I started using it. Highly recommend if you are pet owner. Overall, this has been a game-changer for keeping my floors clean with almost zero effort.

The Maxim is the best Robot vacuum I have owned and believe me, like most everyone else, I've owned lots of them trying to find one that actually works. The mapping and obstacle avoidance system on the Maxim works very well. It has massive suction power that sucks up anything in it's path. Best of all though is the self washing mop feature. The unit can be set to wash the mop as often as required during cleaning so the mop actually cleans the floor and doesn't just drag around a dirty mop. I definitely highly recommend.

    Aggressive cleaning bot

Out of all the various robot vacuums and mop bots I have tried so far, this has got to be the most thorough of them all. With that though, it is very persistent and you have got to “baby proof” your floor. Any cables that lay on the floor, even close to the wall should be picked up. Light loose rugs, shoe laces, clothing, all should be tucked out of the reach of this bObsweep before letting it go. Once it is let loose, it is going to try and clean every nook and cranny that it can get into and extend its arms out to the edge the whole way. Everything to get started is in the box, plus some. Many bots like this do usually include a spare brush like this one, but you also get 2 containers of cleaner, two different types of mop pads, a spare filter and an extra charcoal infused vacuum bag. It also has a little multitool for cleaning and cutting any hair strings that might get wrapped up and the most premium looking color owners manual I have seen in a product in a long while. Setup is pretty simple. Put the base in the preferred location near a plug, snap the ramp on the front, snap on the brush, the mop pads to the bot, which you get a choice of pad simply by pulling them off and putting on the other style. Fill the cleaning solution reservoir with one of the included bottles. Fill the water reservoir and start following directions on the app for setup. When you start the mapping process it uses their VisiOn Camera & QSLAM® Technology, which is interesting to watch. As it enters the room in the center, turns around and if it doesn't see any extra openings, leaves for the next room. It had my whole house mapped in no time flat. One thing I had never seen before, it even had open areas mapped, despite it not being able to reach them. Like the space under my recliner, because it was visible at the time it scanned. On other mop bots I have tried, the mop is essentially a damp rag just dragged on the back side of the vacuum. This one has two rotating pads. Like I said, this is the most thorough bot because the sweeper arm on the front and one of the rotating mop pads both extend. So, it reaches into corners, along baseboards and in some places like under a door or my stove, it gets under it ever so slightly. But, that is already further than most. The app gets you started, but it has a lot of icons with no real explanation on what they are for. There are also a lot of settings for things like cleaning preferences such as increasing the vacuum power over default and if you want it to refresh itself more often. Especially if you know you have high traffic cleanup. One setting I had to change was the edge detection because apparently it can see some dark items as an edge and will avoid them. I have a dark brown wire cover across one of my carpets and it acted like that was an edge, it would get to it and turn away every time. Once I disabled the edge detection, it went right over it like it was nothing. However, now there is the concern of my stairs. You can edit the map and tell it that the space is a no mop and no sweep zone. So far, it has ignored that visually scanned area as planned. There is also a setting on intensity for self empty. It says “stronger (and louder)” and it means it. With that, every time I have checked the filter on the bot, there wasn’t much to brush off. Other bots I have had to clean the filter at least every few cycles as there would be a layer of dust built up. With the self cleaning, it also has options for heated pad cleaning. It seems to work pretty well in refreshing the mop pads. Though, eventually you will still need to give them a deeper cleaning by simply peeling them off and throwing them in the wash. Overall, this is the most thorough bot I have ever seen. My floors are spotless and there is even less for me to clean up after because it reached into those corners for me. Though, I have had to go on a few rescue missions for not realizing my shoe laces were out or there was some loose wire for it to choke on.

Upon unboxing the bObsweep Maxim, the first thing I noticed is you get an additional set of everything from the brush, the mop heads, the cleaning solution, filter, and dust bag. Right off the bat, having this is not only additional points in my book, but it allows for you to further use the device out of the box. Speaking of the box, it is nicely packed with labels 1 through 4. The fourth box is actually hidden inside the charging dock. The only assembly you need to do is snap on the charging ramp, the brush, and the two mop heads. Everything else is already pre-installed. This has a camera to help with mapping and object detection, and if you enable it, there is a notification in the app that says it won't be stored in the cloud. The filtering bags are lined with charcoal to help with odor. We have two poodles. They've never been a problem in terms of odor, but I'm glad that this feature is included. The battery itself looks like it was pre-charged to about 82%. The first cleaning session lasted seven minutes and covered 139 square feet. Battery usage, I believe, was around 8%. Not bad, but this is our loft and it's vinyl floors and not many obstacles. I did notice it stopped by the stairs and wasn't sure why it did it, but I got back on the app and hit the play button, and it continued. In terms of cleaning, I feel that it does a very good job. Picks up dog hair and cleans up the floor nicely. After its cleaning session, it automatically goes back to the charging station and does its own cleaning process and charges up again. This part right here is actually not as loud as other robot vacuums I've tried, so I could appreciate that. There are two things I've noticed that probably need improvement: Firstly, the pairing process: I had a little bit of difficulty pairing it to my Wi-Fi and my phone. The part where it searches for the vacuum, it will detect it, but if there are any issues and you try to do it again, the robot vacuum disappears from the app. It does not detect it, so you have to do the entire process all over again. I have a dedicated Wi-Fi network for IoT devices, and my phone is on my main Wi-Fi. I think what would help is if you set your phone to the Wi-Fi network that will be used by the robot vacuum. There is a way to manually type in the SSID and password, but I kept running into issues. Second, I think the app UI itself, while it's easy to use, could use a better design. It's not a big deal, but I figured I'd mention it. It is still usable. You can also set cleaning schedules and have a lot of options from day and time location of the house, if you have multiple rooms. It'll have the map overlay where you could select different areas. You can set to only use vacuum or vacuum and mop. The vacuum power: low, medium, and high and a name for the schedule. Overall, I really like this vacuum. It does a good job at cleaning.

Worse than not mopping at all

I had a shark vac/mop, and needed to upgrade when my shark started leaking water. Right out of the box, this one gets tangled in cords, stuck in doorway thresholds that my former two bot vacs did not. The worst part is the mopping feature is worse than poor. I have LVP floors throughout, and even after hand mopping, this mopping feature will turn a clean floor into dirty looking streaks. The root issue is that the 2 scrubbers don't touch each other and the vacuum doesnt overlap it's prior path, so there are rows of floor that are never touched. We have troubleshooted/tried to rotate the floor map hoping the vacuum would run perpendicular to the last time, but it will never adjust its path. This renders the mopping feature useless which is the sole reason I needed a new machine. The app also sucks worde than the shark app. Wouldn't be worth $200, absolutely not worth the $800 I paid.

Flagship Specs, Good Cleaning, Inferior Software

The Bobsweep Maxim is the current flagship model with the lineup offering an all-in-one experience with vacuum/mop capability and self maintaining capability. This design is great for those who have multiple floor types or are looking for regular cleaning without having to maintain the robot outside of occasional refill/emptying of the water tank or change of bag. Having used all-in-one robot vacuums for the last several years, the Maxim has a couple nice features but doesn’t offer the flagship experience like some others. It does provide a value option. In The Box: - Robot - All-In-One Docking Station - Accessories (Brushes, Mop Pads, Filter, Bag) - Manuals Setup: Out of the box, it takes about 10 minutes to get the unit physically set up and start the process of pairing to the app. The robot requires installing the side bristle brush and mop pads. These simply snap on or are magnetic. It comes with two sets of mop pads, one regular duty, one heavy duty. The dock itself comes ready to go outside of taking the moisture packs out of the tanks and installing the plastic ramp, which simply clicks into place. The dock itself is sizable, so finding a spot suitable within your home may be the most challenging part. Once the dock is plugged in, you’ll push the robot onto the dock manually so start the pairing process within the app. Once powered on, speaker quality on the robot sounds terrible. After you download the Bobsweep app, you’ll need to create an account (if you don’t have one) and pair the robot to your wifi network. The app will walk you through the entire process including activating pairing mode on the robot if it doesn’t do so automatically. This process takes only a few minutes and no software updates were required for my setup. Once you let the robot charge for a couple hours, fill the water tank, you’re ready to start cleaning. Usage: As will all robot vacuums, I would highly recommend picking up the areas you want mapped for the first run. This will provide a good “base” map for the robot to work off of over time. There is an option within the app to quickly map the space before it’s first full clean, otherwise, it will map as it goes. This model uses LiDAR + Quantum SLAM® + VisiOn™ Camera which offers the best performance for mapping rooms but also detecting obstacles. It has automatic surface detection which means it will lift the mopping pads when it detects carpet or surfaces that shouldn’t be cleaned with mops. You can change cleaning methods in the app if you only want to vacuum the entire floor instead of mop + vacuum. After running the first cleaning session, it appeared to detect all surface types accurately although with some area rugs, it would partially mop the edges due to the transition between carpet and LVP. The accuracy of surface types could be improved. The LIDAR sensor on the top does stick up slightly from the main assembly but it DOES fit under my kitchen cabinets kickplate and goes under furniture that is roughly 4.25” tall or greater. The robot has complete adjustability within the app for mopping and vacuuming performance. One of the best features is the edge reach for both the vacuum and mop. This allows the robot to clean corners and edges better than some other models. This feature is disabled by default but I would recommend trying it and seeing if it works for you. Having the mop run along the baseboards means it is able to clean much closer than other models I have tested that leave a little gap untouched. Both the clean water and dirty water tanks hold a sufficient amount of water. The Maxim was able to easily do a full clean on one charge for roughly 1,300 sq.ft. of mapped area but will auto clean itself partway through depending on your settings. When it comes to obstacle or object detection, the Maxim does fairly well. It has settings to add sensitivity for careful operation but leaving it on the normal settings proved to be enough as it wasn’t bumping into too many walls, furniture, or items left on the floor. It didn’t do well against open stair balusters as it tried to keep turning into them the entire way but once it got back to the wall, it operated as normal. It didn’t seem to suck up cords left on the floor but I tried to keep things fairly tidy. It pulled up some area rug corners when traveling over them but hasn’t gotten stuck. Pros: - Self Cleaning Mop + Vacuum - Auto Dry Mop (Fairly Quiet!) - Extendable Arms (Brush & Mop) - LIDAR Mapping + Camera Object Detection Cons: - Mapping Not As Precise (App Map + Surfaces Types) - App Not Intuitive - Speaker Quality Overall: The Bobsweep Maxim offers all of the features that you would expect in a flagship robot vacuum cleaner, however, its software and performance isn’t quite up to the same levels as some other brands. The cleaning performance seems sufficient with 22,000kPa vacuum suction and mopping abilities but the navigation in home and app features could be improved for a better user experience. I enjoy how quiet the mop drying feature is compared to some others I have tested which makes it tolerable in common spaces such as living or dining rooms. Overall, I would recommend the Maxim if you’re looking for flagship features on a budget.

The bObsweep Maxim All-in-One Robot Vacuum and Mop, 22000Pa Suction, Odor-Filter, AutoWash, Dry, Empty Dock, with Object Detection is a phenomenal addition to my home. It makes keeping all your floor surfaces as clean as easy as possible by simply pushing a button. The vacuum is capable of 22000Pa of suction which is very powerful. This is very useful in high traffic areas, or areas your pets frequent. Also very good for spot cleaning. It's object detection works well, especially with pets walking around or in front if it while it's doing it's job. The spinning mops work very well on my tile floors in the kitchen, bathroom, and entrance way to my house. You have two different options of mop pads to use. I've tried them both, and I can't tell the difference between them. It does an excellent job with either one. The base station is where it's at with the Maxim robot vacuum. You do not need to constantly empty the dust bin on the robot vacuum after every use. The dust bags that come with the base are good up to 70 days depending on usage, but would I recommend you empty the dirty water after every use. It also dries and cleans the mops for the next use. It really simplifies keeping all your floor surfaces clean. The app was a little tricky for me at first, because I was so use to my previous manufacturer's app. It took me a short time to figure where everything was at, and how to set up the vacuum to my liking. The app has included how to videos to help you through this process, which I found helpful.

The bObsweep - Maxim All-in-One Robot Vacuum & Mop, 22000Pa Suction, Odor-Filter AutoWash/Dry/Empty Dock, w Object Detection - Titanium Black is a solid, well-built robot mop-vac. The unit comes nicely packaged and with an easy to read, well thought-out starter guide included. There is also a QR code to help with unboxing and setting up if you prefer to use how-to videos instead of the paper guide. The company has impressively included a physical booklet owner’s manual for future reference. This is impressive because usually all you get is a QR code or web link to download the owner’s manual and print out for yourself if you want a hard copy. The owner’s manual is also available for easy reference on the app as well. The set-up instructions suggest 10 feet of open space to the front, and 10 feet to one side, and 2 feet of open space to the other side. I am happy to report that I put that suggestion to the test and was able to successfully set up my robot with about a half a foot to each side and about ten feet to the front. It has worked well so far. If I were a first time buyer of one of these robots I would hesitate because of the open space they say is needed to operate the bot. If you are worried, I’d suggest buying it and trying it. If it does not work, return it. All of my robot vacs are in tighter spaces than they recommended, so don’t let that deter you. The charging time first out of the box was 3 hours or less. The mapping option took some time because I opted for the clean-while-mapping option. There is a quick map option too, but I wanted to see how long the clean and map would take. It took a lot longer than I expected because the object-detect was not automatically selected on the app. The vac kept getting tangled in electric cords that I thought were tucked away well enough. The other reason is because notifications are only seeable on the app, while in the app. This unit is on my second floor and not getting notifications to my phone was a surprise. I reached out to the company about the notifications not working and they got back to me within 24 hours. They let me know that they plan to implement notifications to their app, but they don’t have a definite timeline for bringing it on yet. I’m very happy with the response time, but very surprised the notifications are not a standard app feature right out of the gate. These units are great when they work, but if you are trying to clean on a tight schedule and don’t realize your bot is stuck, this could be a huge frustration. I like to clean up when the kids are out of the house, and that is usually small windows of time. Notifications are crucial. Those issues are the most critical that I ran into with the bObsweep Maxim. The performance of the Maxim has impressed me. The rotating mopping pads do a great job cleaning, the self-cleaning and drying functions work very impressively, the app is well put together, and easy to navigate. I tested the Maxim to see how it would react to a bath mat that I removed for mapping, but then put back for a new cleaning run. It was able to vacuum the carpeted mat and stop the mop pads and lift them above the mat so it did not mop. That was cool. I also left a sock on the floor to see if it would vacuum it up accidently. It was able to identify it and move around it to avoid it (object-detect option was on at that point). It doesn’t always do that for electric cords, but those are things that you can mark off on the map to avoid since they are pretty constant. I also tested the Maxim with a yoga mat. It mostly vacuumed it, it only mopped a small area on the edge. FYI, there is a way to get it to mop everything, and that is by de-selecting FloorSense in Cleaning Preferences. If I need info on maintenance or how to add a no-sweep zone, the how-to videos are so easy to access and understand. The quality of cleaning is excellent. I let the floors get nice and dusty and the dirty mop pads were clean after the self-cleaning cycle. I did the smell test and expected the mopping pads to smell musty. There was no odor at all. The how-to videos say to replace the mop pads every 3-6 months. The dust bag needs to be changed once every 1 to 3 months. I was not happy about having to buy replacement bags. The technology does exist to just empty debris in the trash bin and save the need for purchasing bags for the unit. The app has a “shop” link that can be accessed. The price for the bags is not terrible, but in my opinion, the shipping fee is steep. I also searched for them on the BestBuy app and they were offered as a five pack for a better deal and better shipping fee. Another thing that I noticed about the Maxim, is that it always mops and vacuums on every run. I did not see a way to select to only vacuum a room unless I did it through the schedule option. If I do it through the main page, it automatically does both. Also, the cleaning preferences currently do not let me select if I want just one or both. That is not an issue for me, but thought I should mention it in case you do NOT want to mop every time or pre-plan it on a schedule. Overall, the bObsweep Maxim is a great unit to have in my home for maintaining clean floors. For a high end unit, I like the quality of materials used, the ease of using the app, and the ability to replace parts as needed with great demo videos available. The lack of notifications needs addressing and simplifying the way you choose to mop+vacuum or just vacuum besides just through the schedule option would be nice. I'm not a fan of the replaceable dust bags that I need to buy regularly either. This is a high tech unit, and bagless should be standard in my opinion. Yes, I would recommend it to a friend.

Picked up everything, dog pads, carpet, wires, everything. Died four times in 10 minutes. I really thought with this high dollar robot vac and map I’d be impressed. Also not to mention, no water came out during mopping phase.
