So excited I got this steelbook exclusive! I haven’t loved a movie this much in ages. Remi Malik did a phenomenal job playing Freddie. The rest of the cast was stellar as well. Looks amazing in 4K and sounds great!

This film is a modern instant classic! Rami Malek plays Freddie Mercury, Gwilym Lee plays Brian May, Ben Hardy plays Roger Taylor, and Joseph Mazzello plays John Deacon ( Remember the kid in the original Jurassic Park?). Mike Myers plays producer Ray Foster. All of their performances are top-shelf. We see how the band got started, and the progression of Freddie going from an airline baggage handler to a superstar. Queen defied the stupidity of stereotypes and convention to become one of rock and rolls most popular bands. There are serious bumps along the way. Including the splitup and reunion of the band, Freddie's discovering he has AIDS, and their epic performance at Live Aid in 1985. You must see this film!

If you followed Queen in the early 80s, this is a must see movie. Terrific acting and singing. Dispelled the rumor that he was 100% gay. He was in fact "Bi" which contributed to the breakup with his "love of his life...Mary". The pace was very good and interspersed the "Best of" songs to follow the story line. You never get bored watching and listening. The 4K version is excellent, and comes with the complete Live Aid filming of the movie's Queen performance. PLAY LOUD! FYI - One poetic licence...they related how he found out he had HIV before the concert. In fact, the concert was in 1985 and he found out in 86/87. Still a great movie to watch and add to your collection. Deserves all the awards!

As a child of the 80s, there were a lot of great performers out there and Queen was one of the best. They perfected the art of applying a wide range of musical ideas while still maintaining a very unique sound. When a Queen song comes on, especially with Freddie Mercury's awesome voice, you immediately know it's a Queen song. This movie captures those unique performances like no other biopic I've seen. Rami Malek is uncanny in his portrayal of Freddie Mercury who, as any fan knows, was such a standout talent that anyone trying to nail down a performance as this great performer had an uphill battle from the start. Buy this one. You won't be disappointed.

While this movie has been criticised for it's lack of adhering to an accurate timeline of Freddy Mercury's life it tells a fantastic story of his life and the people who surrounded him. The development of characters in his life was extraordinary. The casting was uncanny in the way they were able to cast actors that looked almost exactly like the real members of the band when they were younger. It's worth purchasing this movie just for the Live Aid concert at the end. Even the actors costumes were identical to the real concert. After watching the YouTube performance of the concert, this depiction is about as perfect as it could be.

Was waiting w/ immeasureable anticipation since the previews for Bohemian Rhapsody. From the first scene to the end of the credits I was not let down. There are only a few Rock Gods that stand alongside Freddie Mercury. I was moved beyond my wildest expectations by this movie. An emotionally moving and uplifting movie of Queen and it’s front man’s music yet some of story lines are sad as fans of Queen are aware of. This movie captures the genius of Mercury and Queen. A must watch and addition to a rock enthusiasts library. The extras are well done too. Great job to how Bohemian Rhapsody was put together.

First time watching this movie didn’t get a chance to see it because I was sick a lot so I had to wait when this movie drops down to buy it and I did best movie ever based on Freddie Mercury’s life story and Origin of Queen best 4K transfer on this movie. And I’m proud that Rami Malek won an Oscar for Freddie Mercury.

Bohemian Rhapsody was an absolutely incredible film depicting the life of the great Freddie Mercury, the frontman for the musical group Queen. It depicts not only his incredible music but the life and times of this amazing artist who brought crowds to their feet cheering his music. He was someone whom will not pass this way again and the world can be thankful that we had such a great artist and person as Freddie Mercury. Thank goodness we have his many videos and assorted music to remember him by. This film was a true testament to his life and Rami Malik did a bravado job portraying Freddie.

What more can be added to all of the great reviews? This was a great film with a great balance of highs and lows. I never understood what many of the detractors were complaining about. Yes, there were artistic liberties employed with the timeline regarding Freddie’s diagnosis but it strengthened the overall narrative of the film. All the actors are well cast and just great in there roles. While Rami Malek and my personal favorite, Gwyllm Lee are extraordinary, repeated viewings show that Ben Hardy and Joe Mazzello were just as good. Watch it. Watch it again. Then watch it some more.

I have always loved Queen and was in high school when some of their biggest hits came out. I was so excited when I saw the trailer for this movie and couldn't wait to see it. I never really new Freddie Mercury's background - just loved the music. It was very interesting how everything unfolded. I was caught up in it right to the end. Had tears in my eyes after the Live Aid concert footage. I remember watching that so many years ago. Rami Malek is truly wonderful in this role and deserves his Oscar. Thought the whole cast was wonderful and I will watch this movie again.

Although some people have nitpicked the accuracy of the depiction of certain events, the film manages to be provide a retrospective of Freddie Mercury's incredible life and unfortunate early demise while still being incredibly entertaining throughout. The casting of the band members is outstanding, and Rami Malek clearly deserved the Oscar for his performance of the complicated and conflicted Mercury. Add in some of my favorite music of all time, and the two hours plus flew by. A film I will definitely watch again, and probably enjoy just as much upon re-viewing.

As a very long time Queen fan, I love this movie in very many ways. The story has some obvious gentle variations from the actual time-lines and sequence of events, but seeing Rami Malek's portrayal of rock and roll's greatest singers/showmen, I had to buy it on the day that it was released. I watched it as soon as I got home. I was fortunate to see the original quartet 7 times in person and not only is Rami spot on, but Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy and Joseph Mazzello nail Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon. It is a movie that I will watch again and again.

Movie was interesting. Did not see it in the theatre, so this was my first viewing. It felt as though there was a bunch of things that were not covered in the movie. The integration of the music was excellent. You did not even think that someone other than Queen could have possibly been playing the music. The recreation of the Live Aid was the especially interesting. Actually went and watched the real thing after the movie ended to see how close it was. Some of the scenes were obviously CGI but they did not detract. 4K transfer and sound was brilliant.

I watched Bohemian Rhapsody in the theaters five times. I thought Rami Malek's portrayal of Freddie Mercury was deserving of an Oscar--and he actually won for Best Actor. When the movie finally became available on 4K video, I purchased it the week of its release. I have yet to rewatch it at home. But with my home entertainment system--I have a Sony A1E and 7.1 Dolby Atmos system--I feel like I'll be watching Bohemian Rhapsody again in a high-end theater. I can't wait til my family that have yet to see it, come over to my home to watch it with me.

Bohemian Rhapsody is based on the life and times of lead singer Freddie Mercury and the music of Queen. It was very true to Freddie's character and of course, "Who doesn't love the music of Queen?" Rami Malek was excellent in this role (he won the Academy Award for best actor)! The movie held my attention the whole time and was very informative about the progression of Freddie Mercury's career and the evolution of the band Queen. It's a great movie with great music! You won't go wrong, watching it to pass the time!

The movie is great its about Queens lead singer and how they came together. But what makes this movie great is the Sound! The 4K release has Atmos and it sounds amazing especially at the ending during the Live Aid scene. This movie is worth a watch just for the ending, trust me!

As was the case in the trailer. I had a hard time getting used to the actors voice. At first that is. Once the film picked up a bit that changed. Having never been big on the BTS of music i have no clue how faithful to the true it is. Just all together an excellent movie. The inclusion of the complete Live Aid movie performance in the special features is also great. I purchased the steelbook. The artwork is great. The way it was done makes the case look embossed/debossed. The matte gold brushed look compliments the artwork well.

right off the bat, the actors they got to play the band are so good... they look exactly like the actual band members. For the super Queen fan who is going to criticize every change in the actual story to fit a 2-hour movie, let me stop you right there and say this may not be for you ... For EVERYONE ELSE, this is a great movie, gets the basic gist of Queen and Freddie Mercury down pat, gives some AMAZING visuals of Live Aid, and really reinvigorates the music for a new generation who may have lost track of the music...

This is a great film. The performances are astounding. I feel like I was present for Mercury’s trials and tribulations. The music, wow, just to hear their music played throughout the film makes it all worth it. Now, the Steelbook case makes this whole set worth collecting. I like that Best Buy has exclusives Steelbooks for their movie releases. It’s like a variant cover but for movies. The set is amazing, the special features are great and the case is beautiful. This is a definite for movie collectors.

If you love Queen, you'll love this movie. Even if you don't love Queen, you'll love this movie. I love this movie so much that I've watched it numerous times and bought a second one to hold on to in case I wear this one out. Rami did a fantastic job as Freddie Mercury but so did Gwilym as Brian, Ben as Roger, Joe as John and Lucy as Mary. You will feel like you're watching the original band members. I also loved the camaraderie between the band members. Watch this movie. You will not be disappointed.
