This is hands down one of my favorite movies of 2019. Sadly, it didn't get much attention when it was in theaters but don't let that fool you. If you liked Superbad, this is your movie. (Fun Fact: Beanie Feldstein who plays one of the leads, is Jonah's Hill sister) The movie follows the plot of Amy and Molly who are two straight A students who never partied in high school because they wanted to get good grades and get into good schools. The day before graduation they find out that everyone who partied still got into those good schools too so they avoided partying for nothing and make it their mission to get to a party that night. Plenty of great laughs and clever writing throughout. Well worth watching for your next movie night. Pair it with Good Boys and/or Superbad.

i was very very mad when i saw in articles that this movie did so poorly in the theaters due to other huge budget movies taking the spotlight from indie movies like this! this movie is hilarious from start from finish. The writing is amazing and the pacing is perfect for a drama movie like this! its about two friend going through a last stage in high school before graduation and breaking through drama after they find out that all the hard work they've done was all in vein since they could've enjoyed themselves as well but chose to study instead of parting. Very good movie and i highly recommend it to everyone that enjoys chick flicks and dramas.

Booksmart is one of the best coming of age/comedy movie of the year. This is Olivia Wilde directorial debut and she nails it! The two leads (Kaitlyn Dever & Beanie Feldstein) are a delight to watch together and have great chemistry. The rest of the cast is great also, with Billie Lourd being a scene stealer. I like to think of this film as the "female version" of Superbad. This Blu-ray also comes with ac commentary track with Olivia Wilde and some nice extras. The picture quality and sound quality as to be expected with a new release like this are top notch. Give this one a watch!

This movie gave me doubts when I first saw the trailer. However, this movie was amazing from the get go. The two girls are the life of the movie and can be relatable to everyone as everyone was in high school. At some point in our lives we all wanted to do something amazing in school and these girls exemplify this in every way. I’ll give this movie 5 stars and you should watch this movie.

Definitely one of the funniest movies of the year packed with a lot of heart and great performances from Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein. It's better than Superbad, don't let people tell you otherwise. Best Buy had a great deal on this and checking out was super easy and quick. I got the Blu-ray, and it and the slipcover showed up in perfect condition.

Actor/director Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut Booksmart is an intelligent, poignant and hilarious coming of age film. The characters are fully fleshed out and the actors just chew up the scenery! If you haven’t seen this film, go buy it right now. Best film of 2019 so far!

Excellent first directional effort by Olivia Wilde. Good writing and good acting. Even being older, I enjoy a well conceived story with characters that interest me that I can imagine I can relate to. It's a stretch but good writing is good writing.

Excellent directorial debut for Olivia Wilde. A true indie comedy which was released incorrectly during the summer which resulted in a short theatrical run. However it is a fresh teen comedy reminiscent of the classic throwback films of the genre. A fun ride with great performances by the 2 female leads

I saw it in theaters and had to get the dvd. It is such an enjoyable movie. The friendship between the girls, the crazy night and overall craziness made a very great movie. The cinematography is great too.

This easily is one of the top 3 films of 2020 as a film buff who sees a hundred movies each year. Pure entertainment and exceptional comedy. Great performances and heart. A must own for my collection.

This is not your typical high school coming of age film. This one is SO much better. Excellent writing. Diverse cast. A movie with all the feelings that you just feel good about watching. A must see.

This film takes a new spin on 2 young woman trying to come to terms with who they are and what their friendship means to each other. I greatly enjoyed the narrative, even as a 30 year old woman.

This is a great movie from a first time director. I was surprised that Olivia Wilde did a great job as a first time director. Highly recommended.

This is a great movie . . . it’s worth the money as well as the time to actually watch it . . . so, sit back and relax and enjoy this one! ;)

Like a female version of "Superbad," this was a hilarious coming of age movie. Too bad it got overlooked by most people in the theatres :(

i really wish i could give this movie more stars. really smart, well written, the performances are terrific. just a really great movie

This Blu-ray has a really nice slip cover and the contents inside are fantastic as well, not to mention it is a phenomenal movie!

Booksmart is destined to become a classic teen movie with the likes of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Superbad, and more.

The movie surprised me. It was funny and a feel good, albeit twisted way of ending their high school career. Four years of a high school friendship wrapped up in a few hours.

It's raunchy and kind of gross at times, but there is such heart, sweetness, funny, and honesty about high school.
