Great features for a Droid Phone

If you live near 3G towers, then I suggest you get this phone if you can, I have the Sling Player installed and it streams with no problem, I also have the Comcast Xfinity App where I can change the channels from the phone, with or without wifi on. I'd recommend this to people who want the droid experience for a very affordable monthly rate. I've been with Boost for a year now so now I pay $45/ per month. The only down side is the 2MB camera/video but trust me its not as bad as you think....P.S, can you say Angry Birds too...:)

Pretty good Android phone for 1st time user

I have been a Blackberry customer for the past 2 years and wanted to try an Adroid instead of the iPhone 4 because it was cheaper and no contract was needed. It has taken me about a month to BEGIN getting used to it. Daily I am learning how to use more of the apps and features. I had read poor reviews on the camera performance, but turns out its not that bad. The only true negatives I see so far just happen to be pretty important. I cannot seem to easily get to the music and pictures that I have stored on the SD memory card so I can't use them, its hard to add new ringtones, and the battery life is not good at all. I have to bring my charger to work to have enough power throughout the day and a car charger for road trips if going farther than 4 hours away. Other than that it's pretty cool. I'm thinking though that a Diva might need a little more power pretty soon. ;-)

Decent Phone, but size does matter !!

For the price it is good phone. The screen is bright and clear. It is a good basic android phone. Touchscreen is very responsive. Boost signal for me was pretty good and got 3G coverage most of my road trip as well. Now for the bad: If you are used to the iphone size and you look at this and think, it is only a little bit smaller and should be similar, you are wrong !!! That small difference in size makes for a painful touch keyboard. Also the processor is just enough to do normal text, calls and apps. If you try to load multiple apps or things running in background can make this one really slow or get hung up. So I had to run task manager and keep closing apps that I dont need. Overall if you are looking for a basic no contract touch phone which also runs android, then it wont disappoint you. If you are like me a heavy user then it may not be the right one.

    Great phone

This is the first smart phone I have owned, but I have used plenty of them. This phone is a great value for the money! Perfect size, light weight, fits in a pocket easily, and has tons of great apps. Good quality speakerphone and call clarity. Biggest down side is the battery. Phone needs to be charged at least once a day and can get used very fast when using GPS or internet. I would say the battery life is average for a smart phone. The 2MP camera is a bit weak and will not read regular bar codes, but does read QR codes just fine. VERY happy with this phone!

    Good No Contract Android Phone

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Overall, this is a great beginner smartphone. It's easy to use, and the monthly no contract plan through Boost Mobile can't be beat. However, it doesn't have a lot of internal storage, and it doesn't have access to all applications in the Android Market. You constantly have to delete messages and caches in order to free up space, which can get annoying, and not all apps can be transferred over to the microSD card. That's the biggest drawback of the phone, but overall, it offers great value.

I basically LOVE the phone. I've been with Boost since i was 13 and I'm 22 now and no matter how many prepaid phones I get I always go back to Boost. Now I have an even better reason to stick around. I am..scratch that was a previous iPOD touch user. I havn't picked up my iPOD in two days. I got a REALLY great price on it. The only issues I have are: 1. The screen could be a little bigger 2. I couldn't register my @ymail account on the email app but I could register my boyfriends @yahoo account..what gives?? Other than those two things, this is THE best phone I've ever had. Real easy to navigate. Didn't need the manual except for the bluetooth. Never owned Samsung neither but I love it. overally: 5/5

    Good TEMPORARY phone

It took me a while to write a review because I didn't want to do one on a brand new phone. I've had this phone since November & it was great when I first bought it. I was able to turn the phone sideways & text because the letters were small when it was held upright, it never froze and it was an overall great phone. Fastforward to now(February), the phone freeezes a few times a week, whenever I call someone and their voicemail turns on the phone won't let me unlock it and hang up(I have to wait until the person's voice mail hangs up for me), I can no longer text using the phone sideways. It takes good pictures & I've learned how to keep the battery all day or even for two days. But this phone has way too many faults to be a long term phone, I love Boost so my issue isn't with the service because it's great.

Android phone is faster than I expected and really fun to use. Does crash with some applications and battery life barely lasts a full day. The clarity on calls is top notch and it has limited multi-tasking technology built into it. Overall, its just a fun, cool phone to own.

    Love the phone

I love this phone, there are only two things i dislike about it. The battery life sucks, if you're lucky it will last about half a day. The second is that sometimes the texting freezes, but nothing that turning off your phone and turning it back on will fix.

I went straight from a flip phone to this phone and love it......The memory could hold a little more but as far as overall quality, great phone. I have dropped it several times and its scratch free. I did buy a hard cover for it that helps as well. make sure you set setting for battery usage or the battery will die every day. I kept wondering why it was dead by the end of the day and then I checked setting....last two days now....but I'm on it alot!!

    Ok phone......

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Is it worth $150, no, not at all. I've read alot of the reviews, some are right on and some are probably attributed to people who dont understand smartphones in general. I've been a boost customer for probably around 8 months now, as long as i've had this phone. The Customer service is ok, it is what it is, this is a prepaid phone, and with unlimited everything for $50 u get what you get. There customer service isnt horrible, but its not verizons at a $100 a month either. It is hard to get a live person, but if you email them their happy to call back that same day, which is fine by me. As far as Sprints network, not the fastest...dont get me wrong, i get service almost everywhere, but alot of 1 to 2 bars....data speeds...depends on time of day and location, but i can play pandora no problem while i jog, and generally going on the internet is fine, but folks this isnt 4g. The phone itself, if you dont put a screen protector on it immediately be prepared for scratches, LOTS of them. Its internal memory is a joke, you have to constantly trade which applications you really want and which ones you dont...and i dont have many to begin with. Yes you can add a external memory card, it comes with a 2gb one, but not all applications will go on there...so as far as having apps on this thing, it sucks. The processor is fast enough, its only 800mhz, and it gets the job done just fine. It isnt super speedy, but ive never really had to much of a issue with it ( install Task manager ). Lots of garbage bloatware though, total B.S., a phone with the memory the size of a closet when most phones have a house, and alot of ot taken up with applications u never wanted agreeing to permissions you never agreed to. As far as its construction, its a mixed bag...ive dropped it quite a few times, and its always been fine....on the other hand, 8 months later and the part inside the phone where i plug in the charger is so lose it barely wants to charge anymore. ( im thinking of sending it to samsung to be fixed, since its under factory warranty, but ive never done something like that before so who knows how long it will take) The phone does overheat sometimes, if lets say....your surfing the internet and your charging it at the same time. Never really had a problem with random shutoffs, but over the last month or two...sometimes it will think its still charging when its plugged in, or...if i let the battery get really low, try to charge it and use it, it will say charged at 99% for some reason...wont actually charge till i let it sit for awhile. The screens size does start to suck after awhile, 3.2 really isnt that big, considering 3.5 and 4 are now the standard. The screen is fine though, not bad, alright viewing quality...but in the sun, good luck reading it. After much thought and reading many, many articles....im gonna try the ZTE Warp now, i know all the issues, i read them, but the lg marquee sucks almost as much, and at 280...please, totally not worth it, considering both phones really require you to get the 2 year protection plan due to their issues. If the ZTE Warp really isnt at all good, then im done with boost mobile. I'll get 30 days at best buy to try it out, if im happy im prepared to have to take it back eventually for warranty service...i know...if not, im gonna go over to T-Mobiles prepaid and either get the Exhibit 2 or get their prepaid sim and possibly buy the Dell Venue Pro. As far as this phone, your probably better off with the Samsung ultra...but i want a bigger phone than 3.5....so anyways, good luck

I Liked the phone overall in the beginning. But now trying to download a 500K app and having 15MB free I get "insufficient storage" I have all i can on the SD card, only about 11MB on the phone. Phone rooted and bloatware removed. Seen people complain about bat life. So? You can swap out the battery (can't on the iPhoney) I found slightly smaller bats on line for $5.99 Other gripe is no prox sensor, so you have to hit the power button, unlock, then end a call. (and a humorous gripe, I seem to ALWAYS pull it out of my pocket upside down) The boost coverage has been no worse then ATT which I had no probs with. And I travel all over the USA sometimes to remote areas

I pre-ordered this phone for shipping on Best Buy's site a while ago but when I saw that the release date came a day early and the shipping was back ordered several weeks, I went right in to the local Best Buy to buy it. I love it. Boost offers a great deal and really makes use of this phone's capabilities. Much easier than buying into a contracted phone. I would highly recommend this phone to someone who hasn't discovered Boost or for someone who has been a long-time customer.

This is my first Android phone. I know I can't compare this to an iphone because they are not in the same league but that's all I've had experience with and it's just so much simpler. Buuut....I'm with Boost so my choices were limited. I've actually been with Boost since they first started and though it hasn't been perfect for the money it's well worth it! I bought this phone a week ago and it's been nothing but a nightmare. It has a double lock feature so you have to slide to unlock then it locks when you are on the phone and have to press the power button to unlock to dial numbers (such as voicemail) and there is setting to get rid of that. To answer the phone you also must slide which often bounces back and doesn't want to slide to the other side. Accepting calls from call waiting is another challenge. I do not get easily visible alerts. I thought I wasn't getting any alerts but it turns out there are some minuscule symbols at the very top of the screen and if you push on it...yes you need an infant's finger to do so, you get a pull down bar to check to see what you missed. There is another part at the bottom where you can go to notifications to see what you missed. The point is you pretty much have to do it all yourself. The power switch is a pain. It only works when it wants to. Glad I don't have to call 911 with this phone! Interesting feature is one where you can glide your finger from one key to another (trace it) and it pulls up words from there. I can't figure out if it is more of a hindrance than a help. The autocorrect feature is a joke! You should see how far from close it is to the words you type. It doesn't have the capability to watch a lot of things online. I'm not sure if it's a flash or plug in or something but it can be irritating. As far as apps go like FB it seemed to forget I had it and was using it because it wanted me to download it again and lost my login. Size and weight are nice. Not an overly sensitive touch screen, but the tiny letters and numbers are really hard to type on. To get to numbers letters and symbols is another pain as is "entering" information after you type a login. The camera takes awful pictures. It does have great sound quality at the receiving end but not the user end. Battery dies much quicker than stated. Scatches easily. Everything with this phone seems to be a mystery. I've read the manual, I've watched demos and it's still not covering all the operations of this phone. I read decent reviews and I was really excited. Now I can't wait to take it back! Unless you're desperate don't buy this sucker!
