Love this device. I get screen fatigue very quickly, so I needed something that would be easy on my eyes. I use this daily to read and annotate pdfs/books, as well as take notes and plan my week. I use this instead of my iPad.

This is my second Boox device. I purchased my first one in 2020. They have mad massive improvements to them. The screens are amazing. E-Ink has come a long way, and this one is in color. If your expecting an iPad screen this isn't for you. This is like a Kindle on steroids. The OS is android, very snappy no lags. The handwriting to text recognition is amazing, it can read my chicken scratch and accurately convert it to text.
I would recommend this to anyone that likes the readability of a kindle, needs to take handwritten notes, who want the color for pens and highlighters and the occasional magazine or comic.

I was looking for an E-Paper so I can organize all my work notes in one place, instead of carying around a bunch of books. Writing on it feels good, its pressure sensitive, easy to navegate, and you can turn off gesture commands (so even if you touch the screen while writing, nothing will happen).
Transfering the notes to my computer or cloud for storage is also very straight forward. And there are also several different comands/uses that I have yet to explore.
I chose this Air3 C note because I felt like I would lose interest quickly if there was no light/color in the tablet. That strategy worked so far, I have been heavily using it for the last month and am really happy with my purchase.

The note air3 c has been an awesome device. I previously had the original tab ultra c (non pro version) and I accidentally broke the screen so I had to buy anothet tablet. The writing experience is great on this device. Easily the best I've experienced on an eink device like this. The note air3 c is much more comfortable to hold in the hand the tab ultra c and tab ultra c pro. The weight and feel of the device in general is pleasant. I had to play around with the settings to get the color portion of this screen correct for me which is fine because it still looks better than my than my tab ultra c did. The ultra c pro def has a slightly clearer screen. I believe this is mainly due to the factory screen protector that comes on the note device. However, it's this screen protector that enhances the writing feel of the tablet as a whole. Boox software can be a little clunky and def has a learning curve but I have truly enjoyed the devices I’ve owned so far. I am not sure why the other reviewer is having trouble with OneDrive. It sounds like a setting issue with their one drive. I was able to bind to my OneDrive with no issues. Overall im very satisfied with my purchase and would def recommend to you if youre looking for a eink device that has a great note taking and reading experience. Just know that you are most likely going to need to fiddle with the settings to get things looking exactly how you like.

Awesome Writing and Reading Tablet

I have tried both the Boox Note Air 3 and 3C. Both are excellent writing tablets, although I ended up going with the 3C for the colors. Being able to highlight notes and change colors is super useful. The colors are nowhere near as bright and contrasty as an iPad, but as a writing and reading tablet, the colors are fine. I was also worried that the shorter battery life and darker screen would be an issue, but they are not. I use the Note Air 3C as my daily notepad and after a day at the office I use between 10-30% of the battery. In other words, it easily lasts me 3+ days. Regarding the darker screen compared to the regular black and white Note Air 3, when compared side by side you can definitely see the difference. However, when not using side by side I don’t even notice the darker screen any more. I usually have the brightness at 50% and it is fine. I don’t think about it.

Too clunky with a steep learning curve. I thought it would be a good purchase because of the color features, but it's kind of hard to use, at least for me.

Sorry you had an issue with Boox technology. Boox does have a bit of a learning curve because the devices have vastly more options and specification compared to the standard low specification note taking devices like Remarkable.

Boox Note 3 C a great smart book and note tablet

I am very happy with my Boox Note 3 C. It supports many nook formats and note taking on top of any book format although it is integrated with jpg but is just an overlay on other formats.
It can covert handwriting to the text although it works best with print handwriting. It also supports dictation into notes into a text window. It is also a color e-ink display with a very nice paper like feel.
It also uses Android 11 so you can load any app you want. It also doesn't have a camera, so it can be used in work environments that do not like cameras.

They show this as being compatible with OneDrive. Its one of the reasons I bought it. They even have an icon to “bind” your OneDrive account. However, due to security issues, it will not connect. I emailed them and their response was that they dont support OneDrive - even though they have an icon for it. The interface is also confusing and the screen is very dark. I ended up with the remarkable 2 for my needs.

The Boox device does indeed work with Onedrive and by use of the icon. When we asked what the security issue was, you (customer) would not state so it is hard to diagnose any potential issue. The screens both black&white and color screens all have the ability to brighten at an easy touch. Sorry for any inconvenience you may have had.
